Agreed, RKB28. In fact, the most radical thing they could've done with the ending is give us a wide range of conclusions from happy to bittersweet to sad. All endings are cliché, why not let us choose which we like best?
I agree completely. It's been said time and time again, for the past 3 weeks. Don't replace the edndings, just give us a real CHOICE.

If this thread goes down I'll just start up "So we can't get the endings we want after all 2.0". I've saved the quotes from the Prerelease Dev quotes thread (in case anything happens to that thread) as well as the updated list Mr. Connery keeps posting for newcomers. If this thread goes down we'd be back up and operational inside of 5 minutes.

Wait they shut down the PR Damage control thread? Huh. Making yourself took real good there BioWare.
Bit surprised that they shut down the charity. I was hoping to see it get to 100k, but 80k is still pretty f**king amazing.
I'm surprised too. Oh well. Put in my money towards it, glad I was able to help.

Keep the vitriol out of the comments please. Let's not become what the media has accused us of being. We've gotten what we wanted, lets show them that we CAN be happy and we're not just ranting anti-authoritarians who complain about everything just to do it.

Ok, this thread has gone on long enough.
We are open to valid criticism, but there are far too many lies and outright falsehoods here such as the ridiculous accusation that we buy reviews. That is enough BioWare/EA abuse. The thread is now closed.
LOCKDOWN!

The staff at Bioware who are responsible for maintaining and moderating these boards have been very, VERY professional and tolerant of this thread. This is Bioware's board, and it is their rules here - there is no 'right to free-speech' - and they would have been well within their rights to lock things down long before now. They haven't because we have managed to keep things civil, polite and remain calm - lets keep things that way please.
As to locking threads...nothing new in that. It was and is about time they started locking threads that serve no purpose any more OR which have broken rules in regards to the conduct required from members within them. It's just basic house-clearing going on after two weeks of insanity.

Let's all remember that Bioware has been pretty darn patient with us the last week. We've started a boycott drive ON THEIR FORUMS lol. We pretty much condemned them and ran a massive PR Media Campaign ON THEIR FORUMS. I don't know about you but that's pretty insane.. if I owned a store and you showed up and started doing that I'd probably have just called the cops.

We did nothing that was not allowed here on the forums. going as far as to reprimend some more radical members of the movement. Patience has nothing to do with it.

There is only one kind of difficulty they could be experiencing. Someone who donates more than us voice their displeasure at Child's play. Everyone gets one guess.
Unless you have evidence to prove that do not accuse anyone of 'blackmailing' a charity thank you.

Priestly is pretty reasonable; he let that thread which was basically counter-bioware strategy go on for as long as it did. It was getting out of hand, a little too angry, a little less polite...well, maybe more than a little...so really, you can't blame him for finally shutting it down.

If we didn't do it here we would do it elsewhere. They don't score points for this, because it's to their benefit to have the battle here where they can exert a certain amount of control over what is in the discussion.

Agreed, there's no proof. It's suspicious, but only because of its timing; we really don't want any negative backlash against the charity as a whole from this, so just let it go.

I meant I'd make a new thread with a different title where we'd still discuss RetakeME3, just with a different focus. The quoted title in the first sentence was just to get the point across that we would have a place to continue discussing what we are discussing here.

If we did as such however where would be the best place to hand out the new connction info? The Facebook group I'd take it?

While I completely agree that we need to be civil, I don't necessarily think we've been oversteping. The forums are ment to be a public means of communication, that's what they're here for.
