It's interesting how people have such different ideas about who Shepard is. I'm curious to see what news we'll get in April. Does 'maintaining the artistic vision' or whatever Ray said mean that Shepard still dies no matter what, we just get more filled-in cutscenes for the rest of the characters?
'Content initiative' is an interesting (and vague) choice of words.
I think that's precisely what it means--that the ending isn't changing. We probably won't even get more cut scenes. Maybe more dialogue with the Starchild and an epilogue, and they'll expect us to be happy with that.
I don't care if the ending is happy--yeah, I like happy endings, but I also love sad ones. All I wanted was an ending befitting the rest of the game, and the previous two. Whether that means Shepard dies or Shepard survives and adopts little krogans with Garrus, it doesn't much matter. But I don't like that the entire ME universe got destroyed in this process, or that there's nothing sweet about the "bittersweet" ending. Or that we didn't get anything the devs promised us.
I appreciate every part of the game, except for the ending. No, it wasn't perfect, but it was one of the best games I played until the last few minutes ruined the entire series. I'm still replaying, but... I'm dreading the ending.
