Yeah. 98% of the game was pure Bioware amazing storytelling... but then the end, I have no words for that type of storytelling. Cause like you said, the plotholes it another HUGE thing. But the characters that we have come to care about were just pushed to the side. And the last time we see them (or the few that come out of the downed Normandy), they are smiling cause the sky is blue with no reapers in sight. Yeah... sure. But what about all of the crap that is still happening on Earth? "Take back Earth", remember?
Why should your LI or Joker care about earth or your death? <_<

Looks like as soon as they here criticism they don't like they put their fingers in their ears. Learn how to take criticism. Closing a forum just makes it look even more like your in PR damage control mode.
Had a really pathetic excuse. Heres what they said. heres a link to the thread. social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/10084349/400#10478219Ok, this thread has gone on long enough.
We are open to valid criticism, but there are far too many lies and outright falsehoods here such as the ridiculous accusation that we buy reviews. That is enough BioWare/EA abuse. The thread is now closed.

Why is IGN so hatefully defending the ending then ?
maybe because they're part of the game? how did that came to be anyway?

They take our souls mortal Kombat style
Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our threads, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM !
For shame! You didn't even attempt an authentic Scottish accent there. But I guess you could call that being faithful to the source material.
Also, I hope we can end this thing without anyone getting publicly castrated and disemboweled. I think once that happens, we can safely say that things have gotten a little out of hand.

You know, if this all falls through, I would volunteer to help with that. I'd have time over the summer.
i'm also in. know my way around html, css, php & mysql.

I would have at one time said the ending didn't fit Bioware at all, but then Dragon Age 2's ending wasn't the best either. But I kept telling myself that the ending was forced cause they were setting up the third game. ME3's ending was supposed to be the end of Shepard's story. And I guess it did "end", just not in the glorius fashion that it should have. The game was setting up the best ending ever... I'm still waiting on that.
See, I understand DA2 ending; it creates a perfect scenario for DA3. We kind of know what's going on, but at the same time it's a suspense and it makes me excited for DA3.
But ME3 should have brought more closure. The current ME3 ending leaves too many doors open, and it's almost like they are setting up a ME4 or something.

Because a few people in a thread make some false accusations when in the vast majority of discussion in the thread has not been about false accusations but about BIoware's PR stratagey is not IMO justfication to close the thread. I think bioware just wanted any excuse to close the PR thread because it was doing them some serious damage by illuminating what they are doing.

That's what I thought. Even if they make another Mass Effect game, without actually giving Shepard an ending that takes in consideration all of the different choices the player could have made, the Mass Effect universe ends for me as soon as Anderson dies. Well, it ends with the deleted dialogue between Shepard and Anderson before he dies, because that was amazing and I can't believe it was cut.

This is what I'm most worried about, that all the horrible ending mess was just to do some kind of sequel years in the future going "Hey remember how we destroyed the entire galaxy by blowing up the mass relays? We did that just so we could set up the universe differently for a sequel trilogy to keep raking in the cash!"TamiBx wrote...

So we are just supposed to stay silent. Isn't that what they want us to do. Be quiet so they can pretend this didn't happen. Not for me thanks. If they close THIS thread they are just mad and have no respect for the fans whatsoever.
