Guys can we lay off the neverending wishes for babies?  Im not holding this line for babies...and just focusing on one specific thing like that is not doing us any favors in the credibility department.

I think she has a very low opinion of him anyhow.

Understandable.  But when outsiders or bioware come to our thread, and all they see is pyramid discussions on babies ...its lending to the argument we just want *happy* endings.  

Sure we want happy endings right?  But larger than that, we want what was promised to us.  Variety, dynamics, *multiple* options and a conclusion to the characters and the races in the universe.

Agreed 100%. It is one thing to request a cogent ending that provides closure, but it is quite another to suggest that Bioware's artist vision is wrong because it didn't equate to a happy ending for your character/LI. All this pleading for a happy ending is doing nothing but hurting our cause and seems very childish. So what if it's bleak, bleak can and has been done right with artistic credability. And before you say "No, videogames are different" I simply cite "Shadow of the Colossus."

I just kinda liked the idea of chinking glasses to our fleet and hearts, to our movement which brought together people from all over the world. ...

I don't read every page I've missed so my opinion could be wildly out there. I don't think the discussion of LI babies is intended to be the focus of our movement. What I mean is, I don't think people who are fixated on that aspect intended for it to be taken as the singular goal of the movement. I think people are mostly just being chatty with each other here and got off on an tangent.

I could be wrong but even when I joined this thread, I never saw something that said we have a narrow specific goal, just that we were banding together because we wanted *satisfying* ending changes, which is subjective. For some people, all they need to be happy with the game is LI babies. For myself, I'd want to see a "happy" ending for my LI and I but I can accept that I die, I just want it to mean something to me. Something that reflects everything I've been through and done since the first game.

Now, all that being said, I agree we shouldn't derail the thread into only talk of LI babies or romance endings or what have you. I'm truly not trying to sound holier than thou, I just don't think we should chastise each other for fixating on one aspect if that's where the importance is for us. At the same time, those of us fixated on LI babies and other specific items should keep in mind the thread is designed to promote the movement in general, not specifically our personal preferences.

And I'll bet we've jumped 12 pages since I started writing this.

Please remember to be civil to each other and not do those things that might get the thread shut down or cast aspersion on the movement. =)

We haven't been talking about babies for 2200+ pages, you know. We've analyzed the real problems with the 'ending' to death; thus many of us are a little tired exchanging essentially the same arguments over and over and over.

Besides, we've already let BW know what it is exactly that we're protesting against: in the suggestions thread, in direct e-mails, and so forth.

Thanks! That was enlightening...and I guess it makes sense. Any substantial changes will have a load of non-computer related work associated to them...hopefully they'll have enough time and resources to do a good job. As you said, I believe they know the stakes and they do know what they are doing (after all, the game is pretty epic as a whole).

Now all we can do is keep throwing constructive feedback into the www and wait for April news.
