Every time i hear Garrus scream Enemies Everywhere! or Hold the Line! I chuckle and wonder how the thread is doing.
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Wow... just wow. This guy clearly has no idea what he's talking about. It'd be nice for some people who are writing about us to actually take a look around the forums for a minute... or maybe they just don't want to be caught amongst low-lifes like us or "noisy, mouth-breathing neanderthals" as he so eloquently puts it. I believe we've been quite clear in why we're upset and I believe (with a few exceptions) we've been pretty civil with BioWare and even people with opposing views. It'd be nice if they could return the favor.
Edit: I should also thank BioWare for being very kind to us in regards to this messy event.
I stopped reading it after he called us neanderthals, I mean really? please.
Oh? So now we are inbred cave people? Well that's news to me? Since when was I living in a cave, banging things with a wooden club and eating meat raw? I guess I'll have to break out the good old club and sticks then, and start lighting fires in the apartment, since I'm damn sure I won't know how to use a stove.... oh wait a second that's not right, cause if I were a Neanderthal, I wouldn't be able to type now would I? Well okay I'd be able to type, but it would just be random letters and numbers... <_<

*hug* This is going to be a marathon, not a sprint. People have been great about posting new articles and polls, so I don't think you'll miss anything if you need to take a break and check back later.Annaleah wrote...
I'm starting to get nervous and antsy... I'm not sure what to do with myself. Bioware told us they will give us a more definitive answer in April... the paraniod person in me says that I must not wait silently because its exactly what they want us to do... But on the other hand I'm so tired...
Also, I might be in the minority here, but I'm willing to give BioWare the benefit of the doubt for now without trying to divine a malicious intent behind every word they say. There's no quick 'easy' button they can push to mend this situation. It's going to take them time to work through all the feedback and try to come up with a solution.
Not every game company would be able to take criticism like this and step up to the plate about it, especially when major reviewers like IGN have made it clear that listening to our feedback is exactly what they shouldn't do in the name of video game art or whatever.
There are real people on the other ends of these keyboards, not robots or evil corporations. 'Hold the line' doesn't mean push them every second until they break. Or at least, that's not what I thought it meant.

I have to say, I was kind of excited that Shepards story was going to 'end' (DLC not included, cause lets face it even if the endings had been all we'd hoped, having DLC to help take Omega back with Aria would be awesome). But in general I was kind of excited to get this end so we could get a whole new story in this universe like they said was going to happen. 1,000 yrs in the future or 1,000 yrs in the past. Epic!
I wish I felt like that. I bet I would be sleeping better.

See if we had gotten the endings we were promised I would have bought all the DLC (well maybe not the MP since I don't play it and it would be a waste of money) but all the SP DLC would have been mine. Now I won't buy any unless it has the words "Alternate Endings" or something along those lines. It really is such a shame that such an awesome game got ruined in 10 or so minutes

btw, while we're so far off topic already, anyone planning on checking out the film and comic con in london this year?
Yep.
I usually go to the MCM Expo but I fancy something different.
Ahh, I now see you actually mean the MCM.
It's always good fun, if a little packed. Couple of friends run stalls there. Have some good memories....
Of course there's always the risk of bumping into my ex ¬_¬

A touching reunion after the last choice is a great ending, we can headcannon the babies in easily.
That said if we are asking for a happy ending to be added we should have a downer ending where the Reapers win too (if only to balance things out and prove our detractors wrong).
In my opinion there should be 16 wildly different endings like we were promised, ranging from happy-downright depressing (lets make the current ending the downright depressing one eh? lol)
Yeah, I'm here because we were promised 16 radically different endings and I'm gonna collect on that promise. But if BioWare decides to screw us over one final time at the very least they need to add a fairly sad, yet happy ending and a complete downer ending.
Actually I have an idea for an even more depressing ending than what we've got now. It involves Harbinger lasoring your squad (like the cut scene from 'The Final Hours'), then Hammer being routed and the remains of Sword trying to pick up as many shuttles as possible. Shep radios the Normandy to help get Hammer forces (not Shep) out of the system. Shep sees the Normandy get annihilated by Harbinger as it picks up some forces (including random squaddies from ME2 & 3 and Wrex) and hears Joker screaming in pain before the Normandy explodes. Shep then fights waves of Reaper forces before running out of ammo and gets overwhelmed while Harbinger lectures Shep about fighting the inevitable.
So kinda resembling the Halo Reach ending at the very end there? That sounds really good actually and I for one, would actually try and get it, despite the fact that I want my little blue kids running around~!

Sadly a future game wouldn't work because everyone is dead from relay novas. And a game 1,000 years in the past might not fly so well because it removes the human element.

Sooo, you're saying that I have, possibly, say, three choices?
Either we can meet up while we're there, while we're there we can meet up, or meeting up whilst there is something that we can do?
Hmm, so much choice, such a tricky decision....

And the ending of that wasn't a bunch of frelling dren either.
One of the strongest emotional lines I can think of is the scene... "Talon......starburst"

It was an obvious fake because the game was already released and the guy stated that he wrote Mordins holo dialogue. Mordin has no holo dialogue when you are on earth because he is dead. So this thing was inconsistent from the start.
You do know you can save mordin by having killed wrex and not having done mordin's loyalty mission right?
I also believe you can get that through having him destroy the data at the end of his loyalty mission...
But yea, Wrex needs to have been killed in ME 1.
not killed necessarily - you can just never recruit him too...that way both are alive
True. Baisically Wreav needs to be the head of clan Urdnot and you need to have the cure data not avalible (either by destroying it or not doing Mordin's Loyalty Mission). The lack of the data leads to Eve dying.
With Wrex and/or Eve not in power, Mordin doesn't have the same level of faith in the Krogan. As a result you can convince him to leave without fixing the sabotage.

Just finished the game and can't say anything other than hey, I'm jumping on the bandwagon. What a stinker ending to an otherwise excellent game. I would have preferred something along the lines of the ME2 endings; good, bad, ugly and with your choices actually meaning a damn. Meh. Should add more thoughts once I've gotten some sleep.
