 Okay guys, let's just go back to the main topic aka the ending. :lol:

The more we talk about what we should or shouldn't do and debate over it, the more gloomy this thread is going to be. I'm here to talk about ME3 ending, not Bioware/EA PR strategy.

Sunshine, rainbows, little blue babies, little shenko babies, and me and Tali, sitting in front of a little house on Rannoch, looking out to see while Uncle 'karian plays with all the little adopted Quarian War Orphans.

:crying:

:crying: ....  Uncle  Vakarian, Uncle Urdnot,  Uncle Vega   telling the  little guys war stories...  Bakara, Tali and Ashley,Liara  yelling at them both at the same time to keep it clean.   Shepard sitting back with Hackett   smiling toasting to Anderson. life is good... it was hard but they had won their future...

why can't I have that ending.  :crying:

Actually I have an idea for an even more depressing ending than what we've got now. It involves Harbinger lasoring your squad (like the cut scene from 'The Final Hours'), then Hammer being routed and the remains of Sword trying to pick up as many shuttles as possible. Shep radios the Normandy to help get Hammer forces (not Shep) out of the system. Shep sees the Normandy get annihilated by Harbinger as it picks up some forces (including random squaddies from ME2 & 3 and Wrex) and hears Joker screaming in pain before the Normandy explodes. Shep then fights waves of Reaper forces before running out of ammo and gets overwhelmed while Harbinger lectures Shep about fighting the inevitable.

So kinda resembling the Halo Reach ending at the very end there? That sounds really good actually and I for one, would actually try and get it, despite the fact that I want my little blue kids running around~!

I hadn't noticed that similarity. Yeah, like Reach I guess, except instead of fighting to the very end Shep is too tired and demoralized to fight at the end. Shep runs out of ammo, looks at all the enemy forces around him/her, and just kinda slumps in a defeated posture as the Reapers forces tear Shep limb from limb. (Note that at this point Shep has lost everything, there is no hope and nothing left to fight for) Then to provide closure we see the Reapers repurposing the asari and the turians while the humans get liquified into a new Reaper and everyone else becomes extinct.

But enough of my fan fiction! How 'bout them vidyagame journalists, eh?

Just finished the game and can't say anything other than hey, I'm jumping on the bandwagon. What a stinker ending to an otherwise excellent game. I would have preferred something along the lines of the ME2 endings; good, bad, ugly and with your choices actually meaning a damn. Meh. Should add more thoughts once I've gotten some sleep.

And damn it, I really wanted to see Shep and Garrus retiring to someplace sunny with drinks and straw hats and the whole lot :P

Welcome to the line, sorry to meet you under these circumstances!

Sooo, you're saying that I have, possibly, say, three choices?

Either we can meet up while we're there, while we're there we can meet up, or meeting up whilst there is something that we can do?

Hmm, so much choice, such a tricky decision....

Who writes this stuff?

hehe.. :'D

but yeah, i think you're stuck with those choices. :)

 ok, so before I log off for the night, and excerpt from

BioWare the 4th, Part 2 (final scene)

the newly crowned BioWare the 5th, to @RetakeME

I know you not, fanbase: fall to your prayers;
How ill those donations become a fool and jester!
I have long dream'd of such a kind of fan,
So gratis-DLC-swell'd, so childish and so entitled;
But, being awaked, I do despise my dream.
Make less your numbers hence, and more your grace;
Leave campaigning; know the rubbish bin of history doth gape
For you thrice wider than for other fanbases.
Reply not to me with a fool-born jest:
Presume not that I am the thing I was;
For God doth know, so shall the world perceive,
That I have turn'd away my former self;
So will I those that kept me company.
When you doth hear I am as I have been,
Approach me, and you shall be as you were,
The dictator and the fetters of my stories:
Till then, I banish you, on pain of account cancellation,
As I have done the rest of my fanbase,
Not to come near our person by blog comments.
For competence of life I will allow you,
That lack of explanations enforce you not to confusion:
And, as we hear you do reform yourselves,
We will, according to your intelligence and qualities,
Give you paid-for-DLC.
------[to the chief PR person] be it your charge, my lord,
To see perform'd the tenor of our word. Set on.

Thanks!

...and, I'm a huge fan of the history plays myself.

I think especially the earlier set was the perfect training ground for his later works. (I do have a soft spot for the Henry VIs, though; although they really aren't among his greatest.)

So, anyhow; goodnight all; and hold the line!

I would have loved seeing my Shep with Garrus competing to see who's the best with the rifle after the Reapers, and obiously, I'd have love them adopting baby krogans from Urdnot clan or something...;)

I honestly wondered if ME3 was going to go this way.. Shepard started getting demoralized.. I honestly wondered if he/she was going to be hit by that harbinger beam, wake up, see his/her squadmates injured/killed, then slump down and call in a mayday, not think anyone was coming, ask "What's the use" to someone who randomly showed up to help as Harbinger moved in for the kill.. then realize that half the galaxy had heard his/her mayday, and when Shepard calls in a mayday, everyone responds.  I honestly was expecting the krogan to come riding in on the dinosaurs, the Geth to orbital drop in, the Asari to fly in on shuttles and biotic shield.. I was waiting on some sort of collective consequence to the last 3 games haha.  You could have killed Shepard at that point and I would have been happy ... maybe not 100% content with the end.. but I would have actually felt like it wasn't just another fleet that showed up.  I got a TASTE of that during the Sol Jump... I wanted so much more. so so much more.

Here's hoping I get more when Bioware releases the new stuff. Image IPB
