I got a doctors appointment in April at the local hospital with somepony who's supposed to be the head Doctor guy of... something.

Hopefully he can figure it out then.

What I don't understand is how I got these things since they are only in Africa, and I've never been outta the US.

I live in Lousianna state. The fartherest I've ever been is into Mississppi, Arkanasas, and a few miles into Ohio.

So how I got them I don't know any. If they've somehow migrated into the US we're all in trouble since these are bad.

I mean really bad here.

If left untreated, thay can kill you.

You got a Wuchereria infection in the US?!  It's treatable (as with most filarials, ivermectin) but dayum, that's some really, really bad luck.

(< epidemiologist)

Couldn't have asked for more information there doctor haha.  Thanks!

Hope you get better soon Neko!  We can get you one of those Cerberus Mechs to use while your legs heal... just promise to point them only at the reapers, too many friendly fire incidents Image IPB

The score was amazing. I especially loved how they brought back the main theme from the first game during moments that were first referenced in the original. Like when the genophage is cured and is raining down, the original theme plays... or the first time Tali steps foot on Rannoch. It really helped tie all three games together.

yes exactly, i knew that track sounded familiar. Couldnt peg it at first

Ahahahahah oh we wish. If I had to option to bleed to death next to Anderson I'd be much happier, no if you wait too long you just get a message saying "THE CRUCIBLE HAS BEEN DESTROYED" and you get loaded back in.

- Sorry for the off-topic, but there was some concern today about some of us not showing up anymore. While I don't consider myself noticeable, or I think most people just don't get here at the same time, I will post it now and tomorrow: I will be out for the weekend. Family gathering (you know how it is). And will be "incommunicado". Probably. Anyway, I will be back on Sunday. Just don't think I've added to those who apparently gave up. I'll post this again tomorrow. Thanks and sorry about it. -

Umm are you proposing we watch south park or tell them about us? Even if they would make a show about a relatively unknown issue (compared to their usual fair at least) it would take weeks to air. If you're talking about watching it though, go ahead I love south park, always a good way too cool off when things here get too serious.

I love Mass Effect. That's why I'm here. I will tell you all something few people know about me and my personal relationship to this series. I played the first game back in 2008 and loved it as I do any other game. I have played games for fun since I was a kid with an ATARI (yes, I just aged myself). Many people my age drink and go out to blow off steam, and while that is fine, I find more and more I would rather play video games, read or do research to escape. In the fall of 2009 my father died quite suddenly and unexpectedly. I was literally crushed and could not get my **** together, university was on hold - everything...on hold. Finally, early in 2010 I decided to start gaming again. The first game I picked up was Mass Effect 2. I cried at the opening scene when Shepard died and nearly turned off the game, but I soldiered through it and was able to find some solace and peace for the first time in months...just escaping into Shepard's universe.

My point is not that my reason for loving this series is any more dramatic or important than anyone else's - we all have our reasons for being here. My point is that yes, I want the option of a happy ending because that is what I want. I don't want some pseudo religious life lesson shoved down my throat because:
1) that is never what this game was about to me.
2) there is no precedence in this series for not offering my Shepard some way out.
3) I didn't like the Matrix and I don't enjoy tragic stories where there is no hope and no answers -
I've had enough of that crap in my real life and never would have continued these games if I thought that was how it was all going to end.

I respect the fact that some people don't want a happy ending, but this game was supposed to be about choices. If the roles were reversed and there was nothing but happy endings people would be like "well, shouldn't there be an option where Shep dies!?". I would never dream of denying someone the right to ask for that for their Shepard's story. So, yes the whole idea of happy endings may be discrediting to the media and people saying we are whiners, but I don't give a crap frankly. BW is listening (hopefully) and I will continue to tell them the parts of the game that didn't work for me: endgame plotholes and lore issues, space magic, and yes...the lack of a happy ending option for my Shepard.

I hope you all are asking for what you really want (within reason of course!) because if they actually are listening, they aren't going to be able to read your minds, and you will have zero chance of getting it.

Hold the Line!

Thanks for linking.  However this was already said to be false and confirmed false by both Chris Priestly, and earlier today by the mystery writer himself.

I'm hoping that when Bioware really addresses this issue they go with something like the Indoctrination theory (whether that was initially intended or not). In my opinion, that would tie things together and make the seeming plotholes make sense. Mass Effect is an incredible series and it deserves to end on an incredible note. And it's not JUST about appeasing the fans...if the game really has indoctrinated the player in the final scene, that would be a revolutionary achievement for the medium of gaming and an unprecedented level of interactiveness.

Breaks are good and needed in something that takes a while such as this. There will be people to fill in for a bit while you take care of business.

But let's not mix things up. Even if the real BW writer didn't write that article, it doesn't mean that the endings were written by more than the two cited. The BW authorized "The Final Hours" endorse that story. There's a video of Mr. Walters talking about the sketch he made about the endings, and how Mr. Hudson came, cut a lot of stuff, and how they came with the final version. I don't remember anyone else being mentioned. And even if there were, was just to put those pre-determined ideas (from just the two of them) on paper. At least it's what it's shown on "The Final Hours", on an interview from Mac Walters.

As depressing as it is, track 22, "An End, Once and for All" is my favorite piece probably.

Then again I love Clint Mansell's work.

It was the only good part of the ending imho.

Looking at all of the news articles posted that appear to be shifting in our favor, I can't imagine the backlash that might occur when they do make their announcement in April and that we get charged for five more minutes of dialogue/cutscenes to make the ending we got "clearer."

I already believe that the ending(s) that we received were crap, I don't want some DLC explaining why it was the crap we got (for the endings; clarification on why Bioware put this in would be most appreciated).

If/when they do announce an alternate endings DLC, I would like some endings that are vastly different, ranging from total loss to a happy ending. To this end,
Hold the line.

If they did go with indoc theory and had Shepard wake up and continue the fight I'd be ecstatic, probably run around the block yelling "THANK YOU GOD IT REALLY WAS A LIE AFTER ALL" though I still heavily doubt it's what Bioware planned to do. Even if they did and the ending was free DLC though, I can't say I'd be happy that Bioware would have caused me weeks of anger/depressing/frustration even if it was groundbreaking.

Agreed! It is a beautiful track. Irrespective of the actual ending, I do distinctly remember choking up a little as Track 22 played in the background. So sad!

... Then the reality of the endings crashed down, and well... Ha! Gosh, that's almost too funny.

About the last track on the ST I agree Clint Mansell's An End Once and for All was amazing, and I remember listening to it before I even got to the end of the game and it made me tear up.

I agree with you that adding a DLC ending that tied things together somewhat, maybe a la the Indoc. theory, wouldn't be the same as having had that content included in the game in the first place. For one, it's just not fair to fans who don't have Xbox live or equivalent. And you're right, it doesn't seem right to make people wait for weeks for a new/extended ending. Nonetheless, I would be happier to get some DLC that remedied the ending than to just leave it the way it is.
