Honestly, I think that if Bioware is going to remake anything, they should go all the way and make something epic and amazing. Doing a half a** job is what led them to this situation to begin with, so just adding a codex entry or a 2min video at the end to explain the current ending will actually only make things worse imo...

I'm kinda worried my computer will blow up with the internet backlash, if they pull a stunt like this. I really hope they don't, I want to have faith in Bioware.......but it's kinda shot at this point.

Heading to bed.

Continue holding the line for as long as it takes.

Honestly, I'm starting to think about playing ME3 again. I haven't picked up my Xbox controller since the 9th. After I saw the endings, I just couldn't do it.

Now, I'm tempted to play again, but those endings...

I'm with you. But I have tried multiple times. I play like an hour and just get this tug in my heart because I know the ending. Any time the word "hope" is uttered, I lose my will to continue because at the moment, for Shepard and the crew, there is none.

Aye. Slapdashing an ending got us here, but I'm hopeful the spark that got us to love the ME'verse is still there and can still produce a rocking ending.

...Or atleast I doubt it'll be worse than what we currently have.... :? I hope. :pinched:

I feel like all of these media outlets saying BioWare will change the ending are indirectly helping us, they're only adding to the potential rage if BioWare decides not to change anything.

Is this good or bad? Thoughts?

I honestly don't know, I mean I'd imagine the backlash would be more severe, but then I'm not really basing this off anything but my gut.

But what if instead of changing the end, Bioware will simply patch the game with an "explanation" or some sort of "text epilogue" saying "Turians went back to their world, Wrex survived and had 20 little krogans with Eve, Quarians and Geth peace was lasting, and buy our new DLC..."

That's what I fear more than no changes at all..

Well, the clock struck midnight a few minutes ago. Today is my birthday. You know what I want, Bioware?

A better ending. Check your forums, there's a ton of great ideas. I'm sure at least one of your writers recognizes all the issues with the current batch.

I promise I will give you all my birthday money if you come through with an ending DLC produced in good faith.

At least we get closure right? Huh, no that will hurt a lot. That is when I lose faith in Bioware. They have a hell of a situation. I mean there is a lot riding on this ending. I'm pretty sure they will make it right. The fans will love them again, and we will all watch the reviews. Then purchase DA3.

I tried again today. Fired it up, stared at Shepard for about 30 seconds, shut it back down.

IF this is what they do, then the line will just have to stay IMO. I just hope a lot of you guys agree, because if we accept crap like that as a fix then I worry for the sanity of us lol

Yeah, I mean seriously, what the hell is the point? We already know how it ends, there isn't any uniqueness to it or anything taken for consideration. Shepard dies(I don't play MP, and it sucks that you have to to see the 'secret' ending), Mass Relays destroyed, everyone dead, dying or going to die soon.

A game without replay value is pretty much worthless.

Everyone keeps saying how great it was, yeah, but what's the point of all that goodness if it leads up to a horrible, poorly thought and poorly planned ending? It essentially makes eveything you did and everything good in the game, worthless.

BioWare, what was the point?

The problem is that if Bioware followed our opinions in the first place, they wouldn't be standing where they are right now. I fear they will just come up with some piece of junk and tell us "here is your new ending, take it and leave us alone.."

I'd personally recommend playing something else until we get a response from Bioware since they do track information on what you are doing in the game and we'd like to make a statement. That being said, if you want to replay ME3 I have no right to stop you and I hope you do enjoy it if you do decide to play.

Firstly: Happy Birthday! *gives cake*

Secondly: That is so sweet and sort of sad that the thing you want for your birthday is a better ending, c'mon Bioware how could this not make you want to give us a great ending or 3 :P

Thirdly: I agree our choices should matter, and as already said many times the current ending just does not make any choices made matter at all.

I'm still able to do it. I'm surprised. I mean the ending is like being shot multiple times in the face with a spike with poision on the needle, but I'm still able to play.

I have an annoying drive. If I start a game I must finish it. I can't just cut it off, then go hey the ending sucked time to write a new one. Ninja Gaiden 2 was hell.

Something I've found amazing as I've read through various blogs and articles about both sides of the debate, is that the anti-ending group seems to be much more civil than the pro-ending. Not saying all pro-ending arguments are bad-- one guy wrote a nice article as to why he loved it. He couldn't exactly explain the reasons why, but that's fine. Sometimes you just like something without needing any explanation. He also didn't once bash the anti-ending group.

However, I've really seen a disturbing trend in most pro-ending articles. A lot of them really deride the anti-ending group and cries of "whiners" and "entitlement". Now they are entitled to their opinion (see what I did there?), but honestly, the anti-ending camp (like Forbes) continues to write very rational, calm arguments based on facts and reasoning. On the other side, especially since Bioware said they'd be adding to the ending, I've seen more and more of the pro-groups articles come up filled with anger and insults. It seems to me in the end, the ones who actually sound like they're "whining" are the pro groups. Could jus be me, though.

Honestly, I wish more pro-people would post more rational arguments instead of just mocking those who disagree.

Honestly, a 2 minute video, or a text based epilogue (or even a combination of both) is what I believe they're leaning towards right now. I'm getting the sense that they want to get out of this as easily as possible, and that such a stunt would satisfy enough fans that this movement will die down.

You're right.

I don't think they can track me though, since I only sign into Xbox Live to download DLC(Which I won't be doing ever again, unless it's the ending DLC we were promised).

But I pretty much gave up before I started, after voicing my displeasure in my last post.

yeh I'm normaly the same but I'm willing to do the head cannon thing just this once which is sad coz it just shows how bad the ending is hope this ending thing is good so I can enjoy the franchise again.
