Honestly, I think that if Bioware is going to remake anything, they should go all the way and make something epic and amazing. Doing a half a** job is what led them to this situation to begin with, so just adding a codex entry or a 2min video at the end to explain the current ending will actually only make things worse imo...
Honestly, a 2 minute video, or a text based epilogue (or even a combination of both) is what I believe they're leaning towards right now. I'm getting the sense that they want to get out of this as easily as possible, and that such a stunt would satisfy enough fans that this movement will die down.
That's EXACTLY what I thought when Muzyka said that they were going to "offer CLARITY" on the existing endings.
They're trying to get out of this as quickly and cheaply as possible.
I say, don't let them. Stay on them, the moment we give up is the moment they win.
I want what I payed for.
The reason I felt this way was also because of those exact words from Muzyka. Except unlike you I felt a bit dejected rather then motivated.
Though when a lot of the media span it into it being that Bioware has agreed to give the fans an ending they want, it puts a lot of pressure on Bioware to actually follow through with that. Which is nothing but a good thing. That's why I feel a bit better about it today.
@ Debi-Tage: Oh, it would totally be a cop-out. But that doesn't make me think they wouldn't try it any less. I don't think they'll do too much plot hole filling. They'd just explain whatever it is that everyone was doing afterwards.
@ Nilofeliu: It's entirely possible that doing so could turn this into an angry mob, but an angry mob wouldn't be coordinated or effective. It's important to be loud, but anything more can be spun by Bioware to dismiss us as... well everything that people like Colin Moriarty says we are.
