But I REALLY LIKE SMART PEOPLE. This was the first comment...
"I am an indie game developer and I believe, since I can keep a copy of my original art in pure form, I have no right to insist my customers be happy with my "vision". They become my customers because I'm selling a product; that's the end of my artistic license. The customer is always right. To other indie developers who are protesting BioWare's proposed changes, let me just say thank you. Your unwillingness to satisfy your customers will be my future customer base."

Well... so far tonight we've got the charity shut down, story boards from Final Hours app saying the Crucible = a new galactic dark age, the Star Gazer in the notes being 10,000 years in the future(which proves the dark age idea, they still don't have space flight 10k years in the future) which is prevalent across all 3 endings, Weekes supposedly fake posting.
An exciting night!
Whoa, apparantly I missed something with Final Hours then. Not surprising since the Kindle version (read through the amazon cloud reader) has no bloody pictures.

You can't let them get to you, man. Remember, you PAID for a good game. Don't let them give you a crap ending and just walk away. As long as you're speaking out, they'll have the pressure ramped up on them to deliver what the promised us in the beginning.g_bassi13 wrote...

Honestly, I think that if Bioware is going to remake anything, they should go all the way and make something epic and amazing. Doing a half a** job is what led them to this situation to begin with, so just adding a codex entry or a 2min video at the end to explain the current ending will actually only make things worse imo...
Honestly, a 2 minute video, or a text based epilogue (or even a combination of both) is what I believe they're leaning towards right now. I'm getting the sense that they want to get out of this as easily as possible, and that such a stunt would satisfy enough fans that this movement will die down.
They're trying to get out of this as quickly and cheaply as possible.
I say, don't let them. Stay on them, the moment we give up is the moment they win.
I want what I payed for.
The reason I felt this way was also because of those exact words from Muzyka. Except unlike you I felt a bit dejected rather then motivated.
Though when a lot of the media span it into it being that Bioware has agreed to give the fans an ending they want, it puts a lot of pressure on Bioware to actually follow through with that. Which is nothing but a good thing. That's why I feel a bit better about it today.
As for the media, while I'm alittle more optimistic, I still expect them to try something cheap, you pointed out before.

@ Debi-Tage: Oh, it would totally be a cop-out. But that doesn't make me think they wouldn't try it any less. I don't think they'll do too much plot hole filling. They'd just explain whatever it is that everyone was doing afterwards.
@ Nilofeliu: It's entirely possible that doing so could turn this into an angry mob, but an angry mob wouldn't be coordinated or effective. It's important to be loud, but anything more can be spun by Bioware to dismiss us as... well everything that people like Colin Moriarty says we are.
Just to make myself clear, I never said I would be part of the angry mob. I only stated it as a possibility. Besides, that would happen if and only if Bioware delivers a new ending that instead of offering us what they should have from the beggining, it only adds a few "explanations" to the current endings. By doing this Bioware would be able to dismiss us by stating they already did what we "demanded" and there was nothing else to be done with.
If it comes to that, it won't matter if the angry mob of fans is coordinated or not, since Bioware will already have made it clear that they do not intend to give us anything else at all, and all the waiting, all the times they said they were listening were just a strategy for us to let go of our movement, instead of actually paying attention to us, as customers, and listening to our reasoning...
I do hope it won't come to that, but as the cynic I am, I hardly doubt it. Fans will be outrage beyond measure and with reason.
Does any of you would hold any kind of loyalty to Bioware if in the end, they just throw us some piece of junk and say "take it and be happy we did it" ???
Personally I would rather have a public apology followed by an annoucement saying they have no plans to change anything. At least they would be honest about it, and that I can respect, even if I do not like it. Anything less, I cannot...

PA shut down the Retake ME charity donations. Stupid people were petitioning Pay Pal for their money back because they thought they were paying for the ending. They petitioned for their money back from a charity. That is just unacceptable.wepeel_ wrote...

It sucks that the charity was shut down. What makes me angry though is people are petitioning PayPal to get there money back. What the hell is that about? If there is anything to shed a negative light on us. I hate people.

If after all of this energy being put into providing detailed feedback by the community BW did nothing other than a 2-minute epilogue to set us up for a new series...I would just stop buying their games and remember ME for what it was, a great series that touched me and was destroyed in the 11th hour. I would go on with my life and wouldn't touch any EA and BW games ever again with a ten foot pole.

Today, we faced many hardships. Setbacks took different shapes, may it be the closing of our charity or of the renowned PR thread. Many are trying to get us to give up, to simply let go of our "issue", infortunately succeeding with some. But we cannot give up. We knew from the start that this would not be a simple walk in the park. We knew that it would be a long, arduous battle. And yet, we came here with a single goal. In this goal, we found brothers, sisters. We found unity. It is now, as both our allies and enemies are falling before us, that we must take a look at our sides. We are not alone. For as long as we never forget this, that we don't simply back down, we shall be victorious!
No matter what happens now,
We will hold the Line!

Same here, but I guess Bioware knows that already and although they may be doing some damage control right now, they seem to gathering feedback.
There is still hope we'll get new endings to suit everyones needs. We may have ta pay for it, but I'm not against win-win situations.
Oh, and reporting in to hold the line

For what it's worth, I enjoyed what was there in the game but it felt hollow. Says a lot when flipping through the forums with other similarly upset people is more satisfying than the game!
Off-topic, I hear they plan to tear down the monorail here in Sydney. Oh how my day gets better and better ...
=( I feel bad for Penny Arcade now. I mean, we didn't mislead people did we? I thought everything was pretty clear cut with the charity and its purpose. I can't believe this type of thing happened. Did we blur the line somewhere?
