Complete flowchart of possible endings depending on choices ingame.

Endings like that would be awesome.

Why couldnt it have been like that? T.T

I know. When I saw that, I was like - "This is what I expected!" It takes into consideration all you have done throughout the game. And of course, no StarChild and space magic. Huge plus.

Exactly... When I finished the game and saw the credits I half-expected that the credits would start to rewind like in Batman: Arkham City, so we could get endings like those... But Space Magic beats everything...

That isn't too bad, Frostfiend, but I undestand that'd be a ton of resources Not saying not possible, not deserved or promised or anything else, just pointing out it'd be hard from a developmental side.

Yes and I would gladly pay to get those endings.

Edit: I found the flowchart here. http://games.on.net/...usion_of_Choice

Don't know who did it but many kudos to that person!

I agree, also love the mention of Batman AC the rewind scene is awesome IMO :)

Yeah Aite is that planet in Project Overlord. I said depressing because didn't the planet codex say that Aite's moon will collide with the planet in 200 years? Then I read from somewhere here in the forums that the Final Hours app says the old man epilogue was like 10,000 years into the future - and they still didn't have space travel. So now I'm wondering...if the Normandy did crash in Aite...did they (or their descendants) get off the planet before the moon collided?

Just to clarify for you - the Final Hours App new story board says the crucible = new galactic dark age, no matter your ending.

The 10k years in the future for the Stargazer is in the ingame script people have datamined.

Ah I see guess I've confused things haha. Thanks mate

But yeah...doesn't change anything. They're still screwed.

I think so too. Plus it would be kinda awesome to have that scene in ME3, keep the endings we've got now for the ''wth'' moment and then have Hackett say a few words about the galactic fleet being destroyed --- cut to credits.

20-30 seconds of credits later it could rewind to before you get hit by Harbingers laser.

And for some reason it kinda supports the Indoctrination theory...

Though I agree that would have been a really cool idea, I think they could come up with something (or several somethings) better than the idoctrination theory tbh.

Yep, shame they didn't think of pinching the Batman AC ending instead of Deus Ex lol :P

Shame they decided on space magic :wizard:

So I'm sure we're already on top of this but IMO it bears reposting incase someone missed it: great post on Penny-Arcade from Tycho re: the end of the Retake Mass Effect Child's Play drive. He succinctly explained what the problem was (apparently, for example, some people thought they were paying to receive a new ending and now want their money back), and that their decision was designed to prevent such confusion.

Most notable for me was this pronouncement from Tycho, "I actually support this cause..." which, so far as I can tell refers to Retake, not Child's Play, because he then goes on to ponder what would happen if "someone attaches Child’s Play to something we can’t get behind, or leverages your history of generosity and fellow feeling for their own weird bull****." Which is completely fair. But also, while he tries to see both sides of the argument for the sake of balance, it looks like he comes down on our side.

So good on him. You can check out the full article here: penny-arcade.com/2012/03/21

Space magic wouldnt have been so bad, if the game was a Dragon Age of the future... Still wouldnt make sense, but at least we've got regular magic in DA

Because it's all fascinating. Culture and history of the races, religious beliefs etc.

'cept Thane doesn't appear in the codex at all.  After fronting ME2 that's just sloppy.  And a slap in the face!

I agree with it. I just hope that the media doesn't make it out to be something it is not on both sides. Like this article...

www.metro.co.uk/tech/games/894001-retake-mass-effect-3-campaigners-claim-victory-over-bioware

It doesn't really take a side (which is what I would rather most news outlets that don't know about the subject to do), but it makes it seem like we have "won." and that the charity was embarrassed by us. I don't know if there will ever be any side winning. It will just be will we get the ending that Shepard and the Mass Effect universe deserved.

Yeah, aside from Forbes, it looks like everyone has taken the double-speak from BW to mean we've already won, yet failing to note they promised us nothing more than new information in April (coincidentally, after Amazon's generous 1 month return policy expires/EA's fiscal quarter ends). I'm torn though on why this is (laziness on the part of the media, people reading what they want into the article, or an attempt to disperse our momentum by telling us there's no point to fighting any more) and at the same time what it means (if the movement will lose momentum because people don't think they need to be proactive any more, or perhaps that some validation/increased media attention will draw more to our cause, or that the media has in effect promised a new ending for BioWare so now, no matter how hard they were trying to hedge their bets, everyone will hold them to it).

One of Germany's biggest Gaming-Magazines made a poll asking what they think about changing the End:

Until now there are over 14.000 votes and about 80% are thinking it is the best, EA / Bioware can do.

Most of them think: "It's good because Bioware depends on the fans". Some small Minority think: "Good, i get what i want"!

Great to see. Even better, that's in Germany so no one can pretend we had anything whatsoever to do with it. The negative reaction to the ending is truely universal/irrespective of language, country, etc.
