Reading the recent news about ME3, and the American political environment got to me, so I ended up making about a rather large amount of Snickerdoodles 

Anyhoo, anything new happen in the last 24 hours that I missed? Last I checked there was some scam going on and Forbes continued it's grand tradition of being my new favorite magazine<3

Of course, (reading a number of threads about this) since a few jerks did it we are all horrible beings and all requesting/demanding "refunds".

Humanity, sometimes i think we should jsut nuke ourselfs extinct and correct nature's tragic mistake in creating us.

People want the money they donated to the charity back... why ? :S

As I understood it from the initial discussion when it came up, some people felt that CP was not acting in the best interest of the children by asking Retake to stop the donation drive based on external pressures (the whole policy thing had not been addressed by CP yet at this point, just the hate mail and press misinterpretation of the relationship between Retake and CP) and they felt that in that case their money would be better spent being repurposed to other charities.

Someone also chimed in and said that if the charity they organized were to refuse money from someone they would also give it back, and it all progressed from there.

From what I understood, these people all intended to repurpose the money to a charity they felt more confident toward (so it's not like they just wanted it back for beer money or something, at least).

I was also sad to see people react this way as I think CP made it clear that they appreciate the donations and that the request for us to end the drive prematurely was made to protect the charity from getting caught up in polarizing issues (to which cause they are also implementing general policy changes). Apparently such a situation had not occured/happened to them before, I, personally, find that it is actually CP looking out for the children because they have to account for long-term donations (no matter how big the pot was that we managed to gather fast).

/shrug

Anyway, that's what I understood the issue to be. There were of course a few people frustrated at getting the feeling that CP was saying "Your hard earned money's no good around here", but I think/hope that they will have seen that this is not the case after the initial saddness/frustration wore off.

I had the "luck" of being on when the whole thing was "going down", but not later when I assume it escalated a bit before calming down, so I cannot say anything about any motives that reared their heads after I logged off.

Anyway, I personally think CP is a good cause and did what they had to do, and I am glad that no matter what happens with ME3, we've brought joy to kids in hospitals!

I hope that people who do request their money back at least donate it to other worthy causes, but preferably I hope that people maybe reconsider the whole "refund" thing now that there's been some time to let things settle.

Thank you for the your hard work. The chart is awesome and definitely takes into account players choice. It also leaves enough gaps to 'artistic' interpretation.

Guessing your joking? Dunno about the Sopranos but LOST has not got a good ending, though it at least tells you what happened to the characters.

Good day folks, I just caught up on the thread. I see Forbes did a small piece on the Child's Play thing. I thought they might look into it.

As for people wanting their money back....good grief! What are they thinking? The money I donated is the one good thing to come out of this mess so far, apart from the solidarity of everyone here.
