Eh, still trying to say we won... haven't won anything until we have satisfactory endings on our computers, xboxes or PS3s. Just my opinion.
HOLD THE LINE!
PR Double-speak. They (Bioware) announce they are looking into giving more closure, then they contact the media about it, maybe spin it a little more optimistically. The media outlets run with it. The uninitiated believe its all over. When we continue to speak out against the ending, it just looks like we are being petty and bloody-minded. Our image, as a result, suffers.
Even I can see what's going on there.

My reply to this obvious, and poorly constructed attempt to diffuse:
No, no, no... WRONG! No one is winding down the effort. It is unfortunate that Child's Play is no longer accepting donations from Retake Mass Effect. However, their position is understandable.
And the statement by Mr. Muzyka is not being taken at face value. Make no mistake; until an official statement is made clearly declaring one way or another what the intentions of Bioware are, there will be no winding down. If anything, his statement only added fuel to the fire.
We will continue to press on.

When it get's clear, they were wrong, they paddle back with a statement, but most people already have made up their mind about the subject

Just to lighten the mood... I did my own ending but no we have not won yet but we will win..
My ending for them plays to this Marching On by One Republic
Its starts with a shot of their house but a pans out to see many Quarians and Geth building something bigger. The Alliance to better train its future soliders expanded Grissom Acdemy... now other students will study and train off world the other various races. On the Rannoch Shepard, Tali and Garrus are going to run the site for Engineering and field training... Rannoch as nice rugged terrain for it. We see David Archer and other students talking with a Geth and Quarian Engineers, Jack and her new class of students land ina shuttle with Nathaniel Shepard and Garrus waiting to take them out in the field.. Tail comes out two young children one quarian and one human both orphans of the war. Tali comes up behind him draps herself over his shoulder as Jack walks up making a comment about those two. While the two children excited say.. "Aunty Jack" . Garrus makes a comment about the kids calling her "Aunty" Jack is about to give him ear full but Tali give that stern look of"Not infront of kids or else..."
Shepard chuckles with a soft smile leaving a small kiss on forehead. Tali still has to wear a breathing mask but not a full helmet all the time she is still wearing her hood. Garrus mandibles twitch looking at the new crop of students to which he comments "lets teach rookies how we did in our day.." Shepard laughs and tells they're no that old yeah. As Jack, Shepard and Garrus gather supplies before heading out. Adrimal Hackett walks comes out of th building behind Tali, picking up on of the young orphans. He tells "That he thought he never see the day where Nathaniel would settle down." Tali tells he should he deserves it, he changed the Galaxy to which Hackett repleis "Only because you changed him, you showed what he could be, you gave him something to fight for and never sell yourself short on that... now I believe some of your students need you." he points over David Archer and one of the Quarian Engineers working on something. Tali smiles, understanding what he means and heads over to assist.
The Screen closes out with Tali voice ove: " When I started my Pilgrimage , Home was not place, it was just a dream, distant memory of place I have never seen. I did not understand then but now I do., a home is not just a planet or a house..its something more... is place were build your future. Its not just rock, steel, and woods. Its friendship, hope and most of love...I get it now. We have lost some much because this war, so much we can't regain. When Legion told that the Geth "Seek to be build there own future free of the Old Machines.", the Reapers. I could not really understand it was saying. Now, I think I do - The Reapers represent more than cycle of exstinction. They represent the cycle of hate and old wars - but we free of that now... free to build our own future what ever it may be. It will be ours to build and to discover."
Pan out to showing planet and the galaxy.. Credits rolll showing stills of the Different races rebuilding together and of crew celebrating and going to various memorials for the fallen(mainly Anderson.) Credits end.. a big splash page of a artist rendition of the entire cast from ME 1, 2, and 3 with The End.
Thats is my ending.
This fight is far from over.

Retake Mass Effect 3 response on their Facebook page:
Who's ready for an organized effort? This article: http://games.ign.com.../1221457p1.html
Is spreading A LOT of misinformation about the Retake movement. While
Robb was one of the individuals who set up the Child's Play fundraiser he is NOT a spokesperson for the Retake movement as a whole, and never asked to become one.
The charity campaign did NOT "wind down" it reached its preset goal of
$80,000, ended, and the directors of Child's Play asked us to end the
charity because they were getting bad publicity from it.
Also
the Retake movement is NOT claiming victory. Until we have an ending
worthy of the Mass Effect series we will not have victory.
I am asking everyone here to please go it IGN and make sure that the article they have written is ENTIRELY INACCURATE.
Please do so in a polite and respectful way.

I saw this after I had responded to the other poster.
I won't touch the badly written comment as I hate to get into debates over opinions. I don't claim the game was perfect but that's not why I was curious.
I was not aware the game had been rushed, as I said about the only thing i followed was the release date at the timeI can understand the comparisons being based on a concept of time rather than content opinion (if that makes any sense). I didn't realize the bugs were as big an issue as they were, I didn't have problems playing DA:2 myself (unlike the horrific experience I had with Awakenings). AWhether or not I agree, I get it a little better now
Thanks.
Some of the consoles had such serious bugs players were unable to finish the game. There was also a problem with the autoattack feature on the consoles, there was a screw up (which much to their credit Bioware admitted to) where they sent off the wrong master copy that had the autoattack feature disabled for console players.
Things were made worse because there were so many bugs it took them something like two weeks to make a patch, and I think another two weeks before they were available for consoles. (In fairness to Bioware the longer wait for the console patches was due to Microsoft/Sony having to pass the patches before they became available, and therefore not Bioware's fault). The wait for the patch also caused problems because, in what I thing Bioware would probably admit was not one of their brighter moments, they told everyone to wait for a statement on something - which understandably everyone thought was the patch - only for that statement to be about a newly available appearance DLC.
*Muses* It seems that Bioware have, at least, learnt from that error and officially announced any DLC before dealing with what the fans see as a more important issue - the ending.

What is going on lately? Why does everyone think we are ending this campaign because of some vague statements that don't amount to any kind of victory?
And on top of that, they are claiming that gamers now want their money back from the charity. Since when?
This thread is still growing rapidly - I don't see that as any sign of slowing down.
People think the campaign is over because the charity drive ended. Well, that and the fact that a lot of the media reported Dr. Ray's statements as being an announcement that the endings were being changed. A lot of us obviously aren't 100% comfortable with accepting that until we know what sort of changes Bioware has in mind (i.e., whether they're talking about additional endings/options or merely adding scenes to the existing ones without 'changing' anything).
It doesn't matter what the media says though, they've been inaccurate in the past. So long as we know what we're about, we're still on track.

Yeah, I get you as well, the examples are mostly from tv-shows, and game is another thing entirely, and if, IF this was a planned move, it would (At least I hope it would) be handled quite differently. There are plenty of examples using social media, tweets and such to create an atmosphere where the fans/consumers feels like they are interactively engaged, BUT not genuinely 'fighting' to get what they deserve.
Apparently something like that went on with the new Sherlock Holmes series, I don't know, I have never watched it, but that's what a friend of mine keeps bringing up when I rant about our ending and Bioware's/EA's responses and so on.
Lol, I think they are talking about the original campaign to bring sherlock holmes back after he was killed of by Sir Arthur C.D, so he could concentrate on other projects, thats ancient history now.

A) Multiple statements from BioWare, Casey and Muzyka, that they are very aware of what is going on and that they're going through the feedback. Good. That's a start, but it's the same announcement over and over. Until April, it seems, that won't change either.
If the DLC was so successful in ME2, you can bet your collective behinds there will be DLC for ME3, so that is not news.
They say it'll bring closure, but it is all vague. Until I see an official post on FB or here, saying "DLC "NameXYZ" is underway, experience the aftermath of the final battle/see what's next/finish your playthrough in a new way", the line will be held.
