I have figured out that eezo poisons all the races , and they slowly die, but from the ashes rise the great pyjak civilization.

NG+ is New Game Plus. Play it once, then again with the same character.

smecky kitteh that is called New Game Plus. If you ever played Chrono Trigger or Chrono Cross those were the first games in the industry to introduce the New Game Plus feature. In ME1 they had it where after you beat the game the first time around you could do the game again with your Shepard with the exact same level and stats you had from the end of the first play through. ME2 didn't really do that all that well.

That should help.

According to someone with the Space Edition, for ME3 you get to keep your Reputation (aka your Paragon/Renegade), your Level, and your Powers (didn't ask about weapons/armor) in New Game Plus.

Still, being able to keep your Reputation is a HUGE plus for me in playing ME3's New Game Plus (unlike ME2, which reset it back to zero and ignored any import bonuses you had previously).

Ok, what is "NG+"? You people and your abbreviations!

The special ending you can get after importing a ME3 save file to start up a second game in ME3. No one, not even a Space Copy person, has played enough yet as it is to know what that ending entails.

Of course many of us want it to be the ending where the Mass Relays are saved and Team Shepard stays intact.

Sorry for my ignorance in this matter. But since those who import a Shep from ME2 start at level 30 (rather than the level one of brand new characters), would this not effectively qualify as a NG+? Or does it definitely have to be a second playthrough of ME3?

Well this sucks. Hundreds of hours... to be stranded on some backwater rock with no hope of rescue.

AVPen that is why I said ME2 didn't do it all that well.

But in mass effect two you kept all your powers and levels when you imported a previous playthrough. you still have to collect all the guns, armor and upgrades again, but if you maxed out your level in a playthrough and started again you kept all your powers.

Actually, Shepard either dies or if he lives, he will be on earth with all alien civilizations he gathered to help retake earth, and remaining humans. Only the Normandy crew will be stranded.

True.  So give them to us as possible outcomes.

Why?

Because you want them?

So? I want to win the Mega Millions lottery tonight.

Let me let you in on a ME secret: Choice was/is an illusion. It is in ANY RPG. You are and always were confined to acting within the narrative the developers choose.

So, if they think the "Return of the Jedi" ending is stupid, you're not getting it.

Wow, that's a dumb allusion.  The lottery?  And you clearly haven't played a lot of RPGs.  FO1 and 2, NV, The Witcher 2, etc.

And, yes, clearly because people want them.  This isn't some fantastic bit of literature.  It's a game that the developers themselves hyped as having meaningful choices and mutiple endings.

I feel alone in this, but I remember Bioware confirming it would be possible to make the Reapers win on Mass Effect 3. I understand not everything that is confirmed is actually put into the game, but, for me, it's the only ending I wanted to experience.

Mass Effect ends in Mass Effect 2 to me.

@DiegoProgMetal = That is not a giant improvement since you still lose your ME2 LI since they are not on Earth with you.

If those abominations of [supposed] endings are true (which I hope not), are you guys seriously compare that with DA:O endings?
*imagines DA:O endings ME3 style*:

*****kinda spoilers in a sense that it reflects supposed ME3 endings******

1. Warden kills Archdemon and dies, friends and LI are trapped somewhere in the Deep Roads with no chance to find an exit.
2. Warden kills Archdemon and is send forever to the Fade, alone. Friends and LI are trapped somewhere in the Deep Roads with no chance to find an exit.
3. Warden becomes an Archdemon and get control over darkspawn. Friends and LI are trapped somewhere in the Deep Roads with no chance to find an exit.
4. Warden performs the ritual which merges all races in Thedas with darkspawn and dies. No more Blights! Shining new future! Friends and LI are trapped somewhere in the Deep Roads with no chance to find an exit. But now they are partly darkspawn so they can survive somehow;)
Yay.

That said, I really hope for some decent semi-happy end in ME3...

I don't know if this is intentional, but you forgot the ending where the Warden (if you're a guy) can make a baby with Morrigan so that no Warden has to be sacrificed after killing the Archdemon. That said, there is a sweet ending among the bittersweet. so there is some hope for ME3.

How does Shepard become separated from the Normandy crew like that? I hope it isn't going to be huge plot hole just like the "mystery shuttle mission" the entire squad goes on in ME2.

No, ME3 we want is a mega-gaming-structure. Its beyond the power of BiowEAr developers.

No you didn't, you just got two extra level-ups at the start of the game, a set number of credits if your character was rich, and somewhere like 5000 units of all resources to start with (plus the massive bonus you get if you've already beaten ME2 at least once).

Come on, guys - you actually believe this nonsense? All this from some guy who is supposed to have played the Space Addition that no one here even knows - which only happened the weekend - either this guy is full of it or can pay an entire ME3 in a few days? While still eating, sleeping and either going to work or university - this guy has to be the smartest and quickest player on the planet - then find time to leak the ending as well? That's a little much to swallow considering then replaying ALL six or seven endings exploring new choices all through the game each time to see exactly what each ending is with what choices? Something doesn't smell right here!

Blame the people who lied if they lied. But don't blame me. I'm just warning people if it's the truth.

hey - got to pitch in here for a second, but this reminds me of the F*CKED UP ending of New (and supposedly improved) Battlestar Galactica (were - SPOILER - in the end blow up their ship because the supposed "angel" starbuck jumped "her" without retracting the flight pods, those leaving them no choice but to give up their technology (they could no longer deffend themselves against anybody)...well they might have been able not to, but they do it anyway...sorry, but this ME-Ending is a BSG ripp-off IMHO...and a bad one (as a ripp-off of something bad is bound to be worse)

i should cancel my pre-order...origin, bad endings, lousy squad choices...bioware, do you want to make me hate, or why do you try so hard to get me ANGRY...

and, yeah, i hate bad endings (i am not one to always wants a happy end, but i want to be able to have one in a computer-game i have to pay for and i invest time, emotions and even more money after it is out (DLC...yeah, i hate them, but mostly they are needed for the full experience, f*cking companies that just want to get more money...)...)

as for: "dark scifi is cool" - no it is not...i hate things were there is no hope :( (BSG is the prime example - but i still had to watch the show, because friends did it, too...wanted to talk to them about)

so my few cents (i will probably be dissapointed by the game...but as i am prepared, i hope it will not be so bad...even better, there is a tiny bit of hope that this leak is still not 100% accurate)

I think this is what bothers me the most. I have a feeling we're going to get railroaded into not having any companions with Shep in the end just so BW can pull the "even if you're alive, everyone you know and love is lost and stranded on another planet" ending.
