So the question is, where is that ending because I dont see it. Most likely forgotten on some desk and never implemented.

I can guess the devs' answer:

"You saved the galaxy from the reapers, your friends are alive (won't say they are stranded) and Shepard is alive too! (won't get into details on where/how well he/she is)"

or

"It's a war, there are casualties, (insert nihilistic in-game quote here)"

I still don't understand, why have Shepard live? Just to do a Mad Max?

my main thing is, there's been so much build up, hoop-la, take back earth etc, i'm pumped, i have been for almost a year.....if the ends are right and this after credits sequence doesn't do anything for us, all the more reason to include the happy ending, cause it'll ****** enough folks off that they won't buy an me4 if there is one.....

fool me once (kotor series) shame on you; fool me twice (me3 endings) shame on me....i shant give you the chance to fool me thrice....

This game is going to be an excellent stimulus for two parts of the economy:
1) replacement game controllers, to replace those thrown against the wall
2) drywall patching, repair supplies and interior paint

That made burst out laughing

Maybe after the credits it's like "Naw, just kidding, so this is what really happens."

From Meodia:

Ripping the element of choice from the players’ hands in the final moments of the trilogy would cheat us of our personal connection to the experience we created. I liken it to finishing an art project only to watch the teacher slap paint in the places they think we missed. Now I understand that the story must be guided carefully by BioWare’s hand, and ultimately they’ve scripted certain events that will take place, but please don’t strip me of my ability to choose… especially when it matters most.

On the subject of MP cutting into dev time...

Don't forget that if you romanced anyone in ME2, your love interest flashback apparently defaults to Liara.

Fell in love with Miranda? Finally won Tali's heart? Headbutted Garrus? Too bad. In their final moments, your Shepards will look back fondly on their time with Liara. Canon romance indeed.

Yep, but anyone who honestly believed that MP dev'ing wouldn't cut into their dev time was listening to the marketing, which is just a poor idea all around.

He probably means KOTOR II, which wasn't done by Bioware, but whatever.

Meh, I skipped straight to "well at least Origin isn't preventing me from buying something I want any more, this game is turning out to be a real piece of crap."

I expected them to realise that nothing more than perhaps a papercut (a few glitches) would be an acceptable sacrifice. Guess Bioware are completely gone now.

You know whats mean my friend is trying to avoid spoilers so I'm not gonna tell him about the ending. On top of that, we have lot of the same taste so I know he gonna rage like crazy.

You know I think at this point that's a very good idea. At the very least I want to play the game at least ONCE to determine what the hell is going on. We have some good evidence but without CONTEXT it just doesn't make sense. There's a lot of weird things in that article. My God this is a rollercoaster.....

I'll wait for some info on that. Sadly, I think Liara, Joker, and the rest of the team are still gonna be stranded, which is my biggest problem. If the after-credits thing is Shepard saving them or going after them, then I will buy it.

But I doubt this is what's gonna happen.

I know, that would be EPIC if that was an option~ The cruel fate that awaits the crew HAS to be what upsets me the most. I wasn't ready at first but I can accept even Shep having to die for the sake of the galaxy, the relays ALWAYS being destroyed stills gives me pause because it will destroy the current structure of the galactic community and "HEY I liked the way it works now!", but I guess I could've worked around that but everything else going from bad to worse, it's just......Talk about depressing!

But again, we have to see everything unfold within the CONTEXT of the game. lol Then we can come back here and complain if it doesn't turn out like we hoped it would. I have no need however to insult devs or other posters when I do so, which might be the case with other people. I'm not that r00d to be honest~

:pinched:

I still haven't figured out why this is happening. In ME2 there was a possibility Shepard could die and that end couldn't be carried to the next game. We have the last game in a trilogy. We could have anything from Reapers win to Shepard meets with his/her love on their homeworld. But we just have the same thing, relays destroyed, Shepard dead (all but 1, though he/she might as well be), Normandy stranded.

Why are they forcing us into one ending when they don't have to?

Same reason why they forced players to work with Cerberus in ME2 and same reason they don't let them support Cerberus in ME3; lazy writing, forced plot devices, etc etc.

But they had things to worry about implementing after those choices. There is nothing after this. It's over. It's like they have a buffet right there and they are forcing us to eat broccoli. Some people like the broccoli, but most people want to eat at the damn buffet.
