[/quote] The fact is a lot of you thought you were buying a new ending for a video game using sick kids as a bargining tool and when you realized you werent, a bunch of you tried to get your money  back. I can't even think of a word strong enough to illustrate how wrong that is.

Of course.  I felt kinda pissed to.  But it's not the charity's fault.  If you want to be angry at someone, be angry at the media and the people who twisted our intention for donating into something it wasnt.

The charity does not deserve to be stuck in the middle of all that..it wasnt fair to them.

Im sure they are very thankful for the donations.  But they have to stop it because public are getting angry at THEM for not having answers lol.

Blame the morons who asked for their money back or who demanded DLC from a charity...LOL

I didn't see a problem with what Mr. Woo said. In theory, he is right.

But maybe he shouldn't question people's motives. Not even touch the issue. It's a very sensitive matter, and even if you suspect someone does it for the wrong reason, it's hard to prove, and even harder to regulate the moral standards or people's actions. So, let's skip it.

Bioware was involved in charities before. All of them through their games. I trully liked that they did it. Really nice thing to do. But pointing fingers will draw people into questioning if they did it for "publicity" or else. It would be wrong, but if you start questioning people's motives, you can have yours questioned.

Just food for thought. They shouldn't let some people anger them to the point of engagin in useless debate. Let's move on.

I think it’s easy for people sometimes to lose sight of the fact that we
do this because we love the medium, we love storytelling and we love to
create a magical experience for players
.

Oooh. I get it now. Spacemagical experience for everyone! :wizard:

I'm sorry not trying to imply your lying... but are you exagerating?

People asked money back or DLC's from the charity they willingly gave money to?

Not been keeping tabs on it so...

I object to the tone you're using, some people demanded their moeny back according to child's play, SOME. When I last saw it the number of donaters was around 4100, despite this you come in here implying that the vast majority of us were complicit in this, and everyone I've seen so far on this forum thinks asking a charity for a refund is disgusting. Just because a few people did this does NOT mean anyone here did or that many of those 4100+ people did.

Don't blame Bioware for it. They rightly defended the charity, since SOME people were attempting to use the charity for their own personal gain.  End of story.

As for any of you who are reading this that DID ask for your money back, there is a special place in hell with your name on it. How dare you take money from sick children because your selfish attempts didn't result in what you were hoping for.

if i had money id be donating it to chairty anyway it makes a guy feel good to give to others
which is something bioware can include in their game. volus could bank rolll the reconstruction of some home worlds .
( helps two fold) economy would be back up and running again = profit and the alie races would be gratful to them = protection for the volus.

Yeh.  Im actually still in shock over this, myself.

And people wonder why the media calling this movement childish and entitled.  With members doing something like that??? We don't have a leg to stand on to deny it.

Not impressed.

This. Don't tack the unfavorable actions of the few onto the majority. I feel it is safe to say that every one of us who didn't demand our donations returned would gladly tie those who did up in a room, pry their eyes permanently open, and force them to watch the ME3 ending(s) on repeat until they were little more than drooling husks of their former selves.

So IGN pulled a 180 or something? Interesting...

Don't really think it was a 180... only one of the second opinions openly denounced the endings. The others either praised the game or picked on other gameplay issues-- like the journal not updating, the fetch side quests ripped straight from DA2, etc.

Not exactly sure what was said in the podcast.

Back on the line, providing support.

Watching the ign-spoilcast recording right now. Did they just pick three guys of this thread and put them in there? Pretty much saying what we've all been saying all along in regards to the ending Image IPB
