Besides, the issue with ME3's ending is more about a lapse in quality than any petty pouting about not getting a happy ending. ME3 customers have reiterated this time and time again, only to see the next piece published with the same misconception. Consumers just wanted an ending that actually made sense within the narrative context of the story. If the gaming media want the public to consider their work to be art, they should understand that the consumer has reasonable expectations of consistent quality.

The storytelling in the Mass Effect series was never going to win a Nebula award, but, until the last 10 minutes of ME3 blew a gaping hole in the fabric of the Mass Effect universe, players could at least manage to suspend disbelief.

My apologies if I seem to shortchange any of you who did just want a happier ending option. I understand completely why you do. It just doesn't seem to me that whether the ending is happy or sad is the core issue, hence this comment. It's just too easy to attack that position and dismiss the whole outcry as a preference issue. IMO. YMMV.

As a person who would like a happy ending, I appreciate that but there is no need to apologize given the context of where you posted. The thing that is so annoying is that pointing out how the lack of the option for a happy ending is essentially forcing a canon decision on the player - in addition to all the other BIG issues with the ending would really be lost on them at this point. I'm willing to bet half of the people touting that line over and over again have never even played the games.

Yeah. I love when you jokingly proposition him and he says that he's not Kaidan. I love Joker so much... even if the ending made him look like a coward for leaving the battle and Shepard.

I hope their data tells them to make a quality DLC, not just a quick fix. It probably won't, but a girl can dream.

We really won't know until April, and time seems to be going slower the closer we get.

 FemShep has too active a lifestyle for poor Joker.  She's too much woman for his brittle bones... honestly him and EDI are perfect together.. it's like "awwwww" and everyone smiles at the utter cuteness.

Especially since EDI technically is the Normandy now.....No way does she run out on Shepard.

They will delay the ending dlc ultil 12/21/12 so, the world will end before we play it.

Mayan Calendar didn't have leap years..  Take into account the 400 some odd leap years since the roman calendar was invented and the world should have ended about the time the first Mass Effect 3 release date was set for last year.  I think Bioware was shooting for that first one... when it didn't happen they obviously had to come up with Citadel KId

I think the ending just did an assassination on all of the characters Shepard included. For making Shepard actual talk to and believe the Starchild, for making Joker just leave the battle with the Normandy, for the crew and love interest to just leave Earth without Shepard... ugh, so much wrong with five minutes of a great three game series.

First time I helped them. Second time...got a little mean (because I was mad at the ending) and decided not to help them
