Omg. So many choices. What to choose, what to choose......what's the difference between them again?

Difference? We have dismissed that claim.

That, and you still hate all three of them.

Bethesda just released a DLC that retextures the Entire Game of Skyrim. For. Free!

The notion that games are art that can't be changed because of artistic fiat? Blown out of the water yet again.

Aren't they the same people who released a dlc to change the ending of Fallout 3?

Wow, just one more reason to go back to playing Skyrim.

Hold the line.

Arrgh, I missed the page about yodelling. I was gonna come in and say I think you guys are starting to crack. :D

Anyhow, food for thought: here's a well thought-out write-up of ways of looking at the ending.

And I hope that Twitter thing was another case of misinformation, because if that's the direction they're taking it can't go anywhere pretty ...

Back to my first ever Insanity playthrough which is painful on all counts.

+1 nice write up

Just posted the "space magic" comment from a few minutes ago as a blog entry. I can never seem to find what I've said when I want to refer back to it. It was nothing earth-shattering, but it's something to point to if anyone ever asks you...

Space Magic? What does THAT mean?

I think we were starting to crack for a minute there. With the kind of tension around this place lately, it's either crack a little, or end up being that guy who's frothing at the mouth, screaming at his computer screen, while everyone else backs slowly away.

Hold the line.

Yeah, I hate that ad, just because the "coherent" line comes from the New York Times review. And then I remember Bioware's statement where they brought up all of the perfect reviews they were getting. Too bad that most of the fanbase wishs that they could love the game, but can't stomach the last five minutes. What was worse, was the last time I saw that commerical a US Navy ad came on almost right after. Keith David's voice almost made me tear up. :crying:

When that ME3 ad comes up I think to myself "if only the potential customers knew". They need their version of Marauder Shields.

Yep. They were very surprised so many people wanted to continue after the main game, so that's why Broken Steel was made. That did very well. Extended the game tenfold... Well a bit shorter but you get the idea.

I'll be here until May 15th... Then I'll just lose myself in Diablo III and never let myself think of Bioware again if things remain the way they are. As sad as it would be to stop buying their products, there's much more out there.

If the new ending DLC actually alters or adds to the ending, not just clarifies it, then yep I agree. I'll buy the Omega DLC,  and replay this game like it's nobodys business. With a whole new frame of mind.

I honestly dont get how people actually thought that Bioware was going to actively change the ending with DLC xD

if they did end up doing that it would be super crappy with rushed in game cutscenes that try to appease fans and a lack of dialogue because they wouldnt be able to get certain voice actors back. It would be way too ridiculous and not nearly as refined visually as the current ending.

Closure is all I really ever expected, and im pretty sure they were planning to do that from the start. We just couldnt wait until a month or so to start raging about the lack of it.

The current ending is "refined"? I'm going to have to, well, disagree with you on that one. The overall quality, IMO, falls off a cliff about the time Shepard wakes up on the Citadel.

When I say refined, I mean that cinematically it was very well done. It was all pre-rendered CGI at the end. The music was top notch, the voice acting was great. etc etc etc.

If they created a new ending from scratch it would be crap. It would feel forced and it wouldnt feel like the REAL ending because it wouldnt fit with what was there previously. It would be there just to appease fans and it would feel just out of place. Im not saying the current ending didnt have problems story wise, im just talking about production value. Its like saying "I didnt like the giant pre rendered CGI space battle before the Earth sequence that probably took a long time to make. Change it."

Bioware isnt going to do anything with the ending that they already hadnt planned on doing, I assure you. All I expect is DLC that adds a bit of closure as to why Joker took that Mass Relay, why the Relays exploding didnt destroy everything, etc etc. Hell, we might even get to play as different characters like Joker in ME2. Hell, we get to play as aliens in the multiplayer, we might be able to play as different races in upcoming DLC, but who knows.

Bioware was probably planning ever since the first script leak to hold things back just so they could release it later as DLC.

I'll give them till May 4 to get a better ending or leak one. That's one month after the Blowup in April.Yep I think they are still out of touch even after last I saw 60,000 hate the ending votes on facebook poll.Maybe Bethesda will make a SciFi RPG one day.
Edit for fingers hit wrong key.
