The more I read about ME3, the more I realise that I am disappointed, not just by the ending but by the whole game. I read an article before, the link was posted here - it was about the illusion of choice. It frustrates me overall, particularly how we THINK we've been given choices but really, all along, we haven't. Eg: The rachni, no matter whether you kill the queen or not, they somehow come back in ME3... okay, so that choice didn't matter really. The council, no matter whether you sacrifice them in ME1 and replaced by humans in ME2, in ME3 you have an alien council again (because otherwise you wouldn't really have a game, so essentially, whether you killed them or not made no difference because BW didn't want them gone). Ah, and then there's Udina, who despite whether you chose Anderson in ME1, he ends up being the council member in ME3, so obviously AGAIN BW decided it didn't like your choice and "fixed" it.
Sorry everyone, I'm always very off topic from the general trend of what is being discussed at the time, but I needed to vent.
I wish the ending was fantastic first time round so I didn't have to be pulled out of pure ignorant bliss at the disappointment that I find is ME3. I loved the game, so I wish I could un-read everything I've read, but I can't - so now I realise that BW never really gave me any choice, they just pretended they did and gave me pretty awesome storyline to cover it up.
