Apologies if linked to before, but I thought this was just an amazing treatise on what's really problematic about the ME3 ending:

http://jmstevenson.w...-mass-effect-3/

Highly recommended.

Sorry to self-quote a post, but my favorite line from the above (referring to Energy Boy's speech):

"Is this AI stuck in some kind of feedback loop? It’s so impenetrably convoluted that it defies all attempts to try and rationalize it, so you know what? I’m not even going to try, I’m just going to let it sit there like the failure of basic human reasoning that it is, and let it think about what its done."

Bumping this, this article is definently worth the read and sharing out

I want to play it again. But I can't
Made it through ME1 but now I'm stuck in the middle of ME2 and I can't motivate myself to even restart it. I can't even play BF3 cause I'm so mad at EA. Everytime Origin starts...AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH...what have they done

I've moved back to skyrim at least there my choices matter. besides we can always rely on bethesda to make a brilliant (if a bit buggy) game

At least some of their bugs are funny. Like the flying horse or being thrown trillions of miles into the air by a giant. Oh and my personal experience with bugs was when I came out of a cave and two dragons immidiately fell out of the sky dead and another came and killed my companion, scared the bejeezus out of me! Ah, good times.

On a more focused note however, I did not like how they dumbed down the quest system in ME3 to the point where I was exasperated at trying to find where the heck the quest was. And the fact that they dulled the conversations with your companions to a simple butten push. Sometimes I would accidently press A twice and it would skip their conversation all together. I am not amused Bioware...

Oh wow it's nearly 3am here I better get off to my bed.

Just want to say something really cheesy here.
You guys are all awesome, I honestly don't think I could get through this mess without you's. If I hadn't found this thread I probably would still be a complete emotional wreck crying myself to sleep and snapping at anyone who spoke to me. So thanks guys for being there for me and for everyone, whatever happens with this mess at least we know we had each other through it.

Now that I'm done making you all sick.

I didn't even bother after a while to talk to get the quest, I just explored all available galaxies got the item and brought it to them...boring
And the final scene with Wrex...wtf?

We can all love the skyrim bugs ah swimming through invisible water

In responce to your second point I agree that the quest journal was a little broken and I can understand that BW and EA wanted to reach a greater maket by giving people the option to limit the RPG options and dialogue but it didn't bother me much as I tend to let conversations play out entirely a bane when I do multiple paly throughs and can recite dialogue word for word. Still guess it shows that I love ME.

Me too, the most surprising is that there is not only hardcore gamers: a lot of people sign in only for the purpose of having new endings!

Haha and in response to this part of your post, I totally agree. This is very much like a support group for a lot of us, I think, as lame as it may feel to admit. :pinched:

Awesome. Love the score they gave, 75. They actually played to the end unlike all the other sites who released 95+'s the second it was released.

Same here. Isn't it awful that a crappy ending of a video game has taken over our lives, despite having a RL with school, job, wife and children?!

The ME series is the only game I care about. If that happened to another game where my choices didn't matter, I wouldn't care and move on to the next one.

just a shame that such a terrible event unified us. Would have been nicer if we where able to compare our own endings and say "What happened to so-and-so inyour game" that would have made the endings good unforgettable rather than the time I got 2 ribs cracked unforgettable. Still push through the pain and maybe it can still be "Good" unforgettable

Yeah I agree, but on the bright side obviously deep down we all realise that fighting amongst ourselves is actually silly and we realised this was so much more important than who plays on what.

The Ending that brought the gamers together lol :pinched:

Well I for one will be coming back *if* they fix the ending and be interested in seeing what the rest of you finally get to experience. This is with serious emphasis on *IF* the ending is fixed. The more I think about it and read articles about it, the odder this whole situation seems. The ending was awful and illogical - there are no two ways about it - but I just can't get the thought out of my head that surely there had to be someone at Bioware who saw the ending pre-release and went "wait.....what? Guys this is a BAD idea."

Its become my second life too, Me3 was my most anticipated game since me2, and if I ever felt a bit depressed, I could think, well just wait another 6 months and me3 will be out...
