Ok guys, I know of a way to save Mass Effect...
Throw out ME3 and pretend ME2 was the end to the series! See? Perfect fix =D
Hey, they did say they wanted us to use our imagination. Personally, the ending I imagined while waiting for ME3 was WAY better than what we got...plus...my ending had cake....cake that now doesnt have blue, green or red on it >.>

Throw it out?  I love the rest of ME3 way too much for that lol

Just remembered one of Joker's quotes "we should look at another solution, like time travel or teaching the Reaper's to love."

I'd have to agree...2nd best option is to pull a Sopranos and turn the game off as the fleet reaches Earth...possibly while someone is in the middle of talking, just to get the full feel.
Might as well try it, cant be worse than what we have now, right?

There is no evidence that this has happened to us, ever, but keep this in mind if you suddenly see something that comes across as insulting or out of character from what Bioware has been doing so far....it might not even be them lol.

maybe theres companies that do the same thing with game development....that would explain the ending <_<

Well, no offense, but ever since this happened, my faith(And many others) in BioWare and their word, has been reduced to nothing.

And if we can go on what Muzyka has said, they're going to try to take the cheap way out. Which'll probably put them in an even worse hole than they're already in.

I get what you're saying and I agree that it's hard to keep faith with them at the moment. My point was more to not take everything that's said on Twitter to heart until we hear something more concrete. We can extrapolate whatever we want from those short sentences but it would all be supposition on our part - not knowledge.

Whatever you say. All I know is that I'm going to minimize my expectations, if only to avoid what I felt when I first finished the game. Though I do hope they didn't take the easy way out and actually DID something, instead of taking the cheap way out.

I'll eagerly be awaiting the announcement in April, regardless.

I've been away on holiday for a week and this thread is still going. I can't decide whether that's good or bad (as far as I can tell from a very quick skim nothing significant has changed). It looks like we're in a "Wait and see" period?

The endings don't need to be changed to get what we want, though. You can still keep the endings as is, while adding additional choices which lead to more positive endings for us all.

I mean sure, I want it all scrapped, but at the very least? I expect a paragon and renegade option for that final starchild nonsense conversation that leads to a truly positive feeling ending that I feel I deserve for my actions.

No they are not going to scrap it, they have too much "artistic integrity" (sarcasm hand raised) for that, but just a "clarification" of the ending won't work either. At least not for me, and many other individuals who have been speaking up. So yeah, just adding a few more choices onto the end is the best, and probably easiest, course of action.

Hopefully Bioware sees this too.

Hold the line.

Just got back to the line, 40 new pages.....hm saw someone mentioning a deleted twitter post, anyone can quote it or summarize what it said please?

This was the deleted twitter post:

So no changes, but additional content? Hey, I'm totally ok with that. If you want those endings to be in the game for whatever reason, keep them. As long as we get the option for an ending that makes sense and provides closure, I don't care if those endings are still in the game.

I know that's probably not what this tweet means (ok, who am I kidding, that's not what the tweet means period), but I just want to stress that BioWare doesn't have to cut out or change anything as far as I'm concerned. Just give us some additional options so the endings have at least half the variety we were promised.

Ok, 3am. Time for sleep. Thats another 16 hrs of holding the line done for me.
If nothing else, the fact a lot of us are online and talking to them (either posting here or talking to them via Twitter) for a rather decent portion of the day should show them that we still haven't backed down. Far from it...I'm only getting started.

Have a good one guys, enjoy your day *waves*
And keep on holding that damn line *salutes*

I have a bad feeling about this...I think they're going to put some other cinematic or stuff like that where we see Shep ordering Joker to save your team andleave Earth <_<

You know what, despite what the final hours app said, I truly believe the endings are a result of interference by outside influence or one person's "vision", that seems to be isolated from the rest of the team.

The development team are wayyyy to brilliant to make this kind of ending.

Doesnt matter *where* you work, but if you are writing a report (lets say for sake of the point) on the behalf of your boss...and he looks at it, deletes the last paragraph and writes his own...theres nothing you can do about it.

This happens more than you think.

I posted this in the  Suggestion thread it was quick Idea I came up with  while over in the Tali thread for a Boss battle at the end of the game. .

A boss battle would have been great and battle mirror  after the Battle with Saren at  end of ME 1.  Part 1 would be a puzzle like Battle with Harbinger using the all the war assest you aquired.   Once  Harbinger is wounded badly, the Normandy comes and picks the crew up and they head for the Citadel, some random battles with suped up verison of regular enemies. TIM shows up, convo with time,  TIM gets wounded, convo with  the Catalyst... Shepard rejects the Catalyst logic with epic  "World of  cardboard Speech."     A wounded Harbinger  poscoess  TIM's Body , Part 2 of the fight  begins.   That battle ends-  Shepard and the party a exhuausted  but  are still standing .  The Catalyst startes sending wave and wave enemies but the parrty keeps  fighting.   Then the Normandy shows up with there other characters from other games,  Jack, Miranda, Samara, Ashley/Kaiden, James, all of them the join the fight.  This is when Loyality and EMS comes into play... the higher  the better chance for survival. If you were able to  sway  TIM ... his dying words would ...

'They will never stop fighting,  if  you kill them, there will be others and more.. They know that, Shepard knows that's, s/he is not fighting for just there own survivial but the future, a future willing to die for..  I sold my soul, just to get  this far... we'll ...never ..stop."    The Catalyst stops the onslaught,  depending on EMS depends on how many people are alive  or dead.   The  Catalyst then offeres its solutions but with a High enough EMS and most of the cast alive.  Shepard can reject and point outside... to show that they are not only holding their own but turning the tide.   Then The Catalyst  for the first time in eons pauses and thinks... and ask why?    Now for dialogue with  choices high enough EMS and influence you can explain the  Catalyst why its wrong and it will see that its solution is the cause of the problem convince it to leave or finish the fight and destroy it.

Excellent idea.  This would be an ending I would be happy to see.  Thank you for the hard work and the thought put into it.

Question: Do you think that the tweet saying that we'd get clarification and closure on the existing endings was either a trial balloon or an attempt to disrupt the line? I've seen a lot more than just one or two people say they either give up or "it was a good fight but this is as good as we're gonna get" ....

Thoughts??

I think if that were the case they'd be watching the BSN boards more than Twitter. This is where the majority of the discussion has been going on and where they've been asking for feedback from. I think people are putting too much stock in what's going on on Twitter.

Hey, does anyone remember when this thread first came out?

I was originally skeptical about the whole thing, then as I started reading along, I had started feeling this dread creep up at the pit of my stomach.

Then I started thinking to myself, "Nah, BioWare isn't that stupid, no way would they create an A, B,C ending so simplistically stupid and negate all our choices through the games. No way..".

Boy, was I totally and utterly wrong...
