Hm, am I the only one who thinks that Bioware is not going to change the ending, and is not adding to it, only explain some of the plotholes, and not until it is satisfactional to 89% of the community, and the next headline after DA III will be:

"Bioware has massive sells-breakdown. At the edge of collapse"?

Sure hope not. BioWare has SO much potential to create brilliant games. If they can figure out how to stop aiming the gun at their foot...

Well the real question is just what does Bioware care about more, it's fans, or it's pride that the ending is good despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary? It's answer will ultimately decide what happens to it's core fanbase.

Neither one i'm afvraid. Biowares bottom line as with any company is its profitability. You and I via the entertainment packages it sells are merely a means to an end.

Its 4:40am and I woke up cause of a damn thought about the ME3 end. Here is food for thought; Bioware said ME3 would answer our questions, or more importantly, the end...but here is the thing, what if they consider an expansion PART of ME3? Hallucination, Indoc theory, whichever you choose...we all know ME3 seems a bit...short...when compared to the previous Mass Effect games. What if we haven't actually finished it yet?

Just thinking...maybe we just reacted faster than BioWare anticipated. Perhaps they thought they'd have enough time to release the rest. It would also explain why they are so adamant about keeping the end of the game the way it is.

The end still sucks and I want answers, but still, food for thought.
Now hopefully I can go to sleep and NOT think about the damn ending xD

Later guys'n'gals, enjoy yourselves.

Wow, "Miranda" in body paint ... those silly peeps at Sobe.

Maybe, I can shoehorn this into an ending suggestion?

Wish Bioware would be more open to modding Mass Effect, then i could just mod in a proper ending, would help PC users but poor console users(i play it on the PS3) but have a PC copy aswell.

Makes me sad kind of considering not buying anymore Bioware products unless they do us right and fix the end, i know it doesn't matter much but they would be losing oen customer who always buys a PS3 and  PC copy of the game

I believe modding is problematic due to BioWare having licensed the Unreal 3 engine, not necessarily b/c they aren't open to it.

Apologies if linked to before, but I thought this was just an amazing treatise on what's really problematic about the ME3 ending:

http://jmstevenson.w...-mass-effect-3/

Highly recommended.

Haha -> "That’s  right, Bioware made such a bad ending that Forbes, a magazine
about business and marketing, has been covering this disaster and
highlighting the bad business practices. I don’t think I’ve ever heard
of a video game ending ever having that kind of impact before."

Nice read overall too.

Well my thought has always been Arrival and LoTSB did not change the end of mass effect 2, so post end dlc to me3 would not technicly change the end

But then that would mean they released us an incomplete game :(

I would've rather they delayed production than release us this on purpose.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem that way.  However, they are not stupid.  They know that the fans are intimately tied with the bottom line.  They also know that there's a simple fix.  If they do right by us, we will do right by them.  The difficulty really lies in the implementation.

i was thinking the same thing one day because technically it would be part of ME3, still that would be a terrible thing to do because the games suppose to be complete and DLC is suppose to just add on to the main experience

I don't know if this has been posted in this thread before and I apologize if it has, but I'm pretty sure I can be excused for not reading through 2300 pages of posts (holy crap 2300?! Damn). Shamus Young posted a deconstruction of the ending on his blog. It says many points others have brought up in a very good manner, explaining why the ending is so bad and why it ruins many parts of the entire franchise:

Check it Out here.

This. Not only did they release Day 1 DLC, but an incomplete game knowing you would have to buy the end? I hope not......

P.S. Go back to bed! If you don't get enough sleep you might start having hallucinations.......XD

Doesnt have to be DLC though, could be an expansion. Did any of us really expect DA1 to get an expansion? I thought it ended pretty well and didnt. Could be that they wanted a cliff hanger, and to release the rest as a free DLC for PAX...a way to drum up more attention during PAX.

Ye, precisely.
The kind of delays blizzard gives isn't that bad - coz we really now that the product they'll deliver after all will be sharpened in every way.

I don´t know if some other member of the german fleet already posted this, but today the newest edition of the Gamestar magazine was released, including a report about Mass Effect 3 and it´s endings...

The part about this ending is printed in mirror writing (first time ever, I read that magazine for about 9 years now), officially, because there are to many spoilers in the text...

I personally believe, they did this, because they want to avoid a sh.itstorm in their forum or in letters to the editors by this, they think that very few people read this, because this would be far to complicated... who wants to read a magazine through a mirror or scan it and then mirror it with graphic software?

I read that. I think it does a really good job at deconstructing the major problems we are having with the ending. I wish there were more like this and fewer like...I don't know....IGN.

BTW: How dare you not go through 2300 pages! Blasphemy. :D

I've been hallucinating about a kid telling me things are either a "green", "blue" or "red" ending for weeks now. Too late to worry about something like that now. Still, nothing worse than a kid behind you when you're hanging a leek saying "So, you've chosen the destroy path..."
