So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Not so much the Indoc theory stuff, mainly the details at the end.
Generally I'm one to haunt game developers when I think they stuffed up (EVE Onlines micro-transactions, for example)....but I think we got played. A lot of the things people have been hinting at, including what Jess was trying to tell us...I think we fell into a PAX-trap.
The game isn't over yet guys.

Bioware got lazy...can't come up with an explanation besides that one. Or they were rushed...
Ifully believe it was the act of two egomaniacal men...<snip/>
That's what must've happened! It would explain a few things woulndn't it?
If Rush wrote the ending then Femshep would have had to die, even in the destroy ending with over 5k EMS, because shes a sl*t for wanting free birth control... even if she only uses it to keep the acne off her face since she sleeps with a turian.

I don´t know if some other member of the german fleet already posted this, but today the newest edition of the Gamestar magazine was released, including a report about Mass Effect 3 and it´s endings...
The part about this ending is printed in mirror writing (first time ever, I read that magazine for about 9 years now), officially, because there are to many spoilers in the text...
I personally believe, they did this, because they want to avoid a sh.itstorm in their forum or in letters to the editors by this, they think that very few people read this, because this would be far to complicated... who wants to read a magazine through a mirror or scan it and then mirror it with graphic software?
wow. i should have picked it up today..
what did they say about the endings? anything in particular or where they stand on the topic?
Won't buy it anymore, because they were praising the closure the ending would give and a lot of other, not to say lies, untrue things. Maybe Casey added him as a fb-friend for all that bs

It´s not yet in the store, I got it today because I´m a subscriber... and I didn´t read the report yet, I´m to busy with other things today.
That part of the report was written by Michael Graf, who stated earlier, thet he understands the anger, but that he doesn´t share it...
On another page of the magazine, where all the members of the editorial staff make short comments about games, almost everyone says "Mass Effect is a great game" without mentioning the ending... Two of them didn´t play it and Michael Graf again is the only one saying: I like it, I like even the endings

Now that is damming, can you show a comparison for another major release week one and two for Gears or war or Cod?

I want to believe in the Indoc theory. Heck, going over things during the game (the dreams and such) give me hope. And if it is true, I still don't know what I'm going to make of it. Depends on what Bioware does, I think.
However, even if it is true and the polarizing ending IS the Indoc theory... Bioware hasn't handled the situation all that well. They wanted the ending to be discussed, but I doubt the expected the backlash they did. Years down the road, people will be talking about the ending, but not in the way they hoped. The discussions won't be about the story, but instead about the movement... Or if the Indoc ending is true and they're going to release the real ending via paid DLC, people will be talking about that dangerous move instead. If true, they took a major chance and it backfired.

The numbers don't really mean anything without our ability to compare them. Such a huge drop may seem precipitous, but remember that there's been a huge push for preorder sales, so it kind of makes sense that week 1 would be bloated. Further research is required before a consensus is reached...

normally sales drop 40-50% in week 2 but a drop of over 80% nearly across the whole board is bad, also check out the local shops and tell me how many pre-owned are on the dhelves now, 4 gaming shops i know have now stopped taking ME3 for trade-in, not good having a hundred+ in one shop nor is it having a WHOLE rack filled in another (the rack holds max 300 games) get the picture.
seems ME3 is going to die a long prolonged painful death by the look of it.
this is what happens when an ENTIRE script gets fubared by just 2 ppl who wanted it to end in THERE vision and NOT in the ACTUAL vison intended

Ah -- I gathered as much as I could from this thread since I was here yesterday but it moves FAST!!! I am sure I have missed stuff!!!
Working on my next update for my blog -- looking for input from all/any of you.
I believe the gaming sites talking about how our efforts are winding down, or that we've somehow won should be my primary focus.
If there is any news on this: http://www.razoo.com...ry/Full-Paragon Happy to push it!!! But I do want it verified as part of the Retake Movement beforehand.
Any other issues you feel I should be looking closer at? Let me know!!!
Thanks,
Lan!

the sales of gears 3 for the first month only dipped by 20% by the 3rd week, any game that drops more than half in sales in one week shows that theres a massive failing somewhere

if this is true (i have no idea what the sale drop looks like normally) i do really hope that bioware is starting to feel it. it seems like they don't actually seem to care much about everything else that's going on.
maybe it will get us more than statements that pretty much read like 'we're disappointed in you' and/or 'aww, look, a minority. let me pat you on the head before i shoo you off so that the adults can talk'.
and yes, sorry. migraine isn't helping with trying to form proper english sentences.
