What's
funny is that all of you guys say you are criticizing Bioware and IGN
in a 'civilized manner', but then you turn around and threaten to leave
IGN, stop buying Bioware games, etc etc. I can't see how that is
civilized. That's a child's reaction.

This has been a fairly common argument against us from what I've seen and it just makes no sense at all. Seriously how does behaving like a good consumer make us children? Colin Moriarty insults us and berates us directly so we say "Well if you're going to be an ass we can get our gaming media somewhere else" and if Bioware or any one else makes a game with an ending we dislike/bad game in general we don't have to purchase their products any more. This is how the free market works, how in the world is that a child's actions?

Agreed. This is no child's reaction. We say we are dissatisfied with a product, and if this dissatisfaction is not remedied, we become dissatisfied with the manufacturer. Now, if we're dissatisfied with the manufacturer, why would we want to purchase products from them knowing that we might end up being dissatisfied again?

Ummm...wtf kind of broken logic did I read? Childish because we want to stop paying for products that didn't live up to our standards...WHAT?!

if mass effect 3 ending was a road no car would be able to drive on it because it has too many potholes

I think the word "potholes" understates the magnitude of the problem. This would be more like it.

Incredible. I think it's actually called "consumer choice."  Only children would fail to understand the concept.

IKR...who at IGN is allowing this stuff to even get posted?! We live in a Capitalist country...everyone has the right to pay for the best quality products and Mass Effect 3 was good till the last 10min where it destroyed itself, meaning not a good product <_<

Bioware watching as this thread is getting slower.

It's one of the fastest moving threads around, 2 weeks after game release. The fact there arent 10 pages a minute is irrelevant to how serious it still is.

We'll see in April.
Until then, this is just the peace in the eye of the storm.

Hold the line. ;)

This makes me almost want to contact my old psychology professor to get his take on this as a social mediem........:)

As I said; my theory which has become others - if bioware did do this on purpose - its going to get interesting

I don't think anyone here hates BW (I have heard us called the "Retake the hate" group), quite to the contrary, I would love to continue throwing my money at them, heaping with praise...I didn't want to be here. It was forced on me, much in the same way the Deus Ex machina was forced on Shep in the end.

Just came across this:

An interview with BioWare's Casey Hudson

you did not play mass effect 3, you did not see the endings, you will wait 1 more month before playing it after you have paid for the rest of the game then play it

Exactly. I own every Bioware game released (well, except for their Sonic one). They are (maybe soon were) my favorite game developer because of their concentration on story and character as well asa gameplay. But after that ending, I just don't know what to think about them anymore.
