you did not play mass effect 3, you did not see the endings, you will wait 1 more month before playing it after you have paid for the rest of the game then play it
...I wished that worked...

No no - I know a few that......well can't say anymore - that is a dangerous and dark path that will lead.....fear leads to anger; anger leads to hate..........and then we get ME3's ending........
We must stay on the path of light; remember Mordin did not give up his life so we could have this ending. Wrex didn't unit the clans - get a new babe to help him rule - just so we could have this ending......I did not lose Legion; broker piece with the Geth and Quarians to just end up with this ending......
No folks - I freed Saran - killed Soverien - came back from the dead - not just survived a suicde mission; but damn I did it in style and brought everyone back.........just for this ending?? No, No my friends.....my comrads.....
We did not choose this ending.......We did not choose Space Magic.......
I know my friends would not just suddenly jump ship and leave me behind; nor will I abandon them in this most dire of times........Leaving them with this ending.........Nay its not an ending.......this Cliffhanger.......
NOW WHO'S WITH ME!!!.......

I don't think anyone here hates BW (I have heard us called the "Retake the hate" group), quite to the contrary, I would love to continue throwing my money at them, heaping with praise...I didn't want to be here. It was forced on me, much in the same way the Deus Ex machina was forced on Shep in the end.
Exactly. I own every Bioware game released (well, except for their Sonic one). They are (maybe soon were) my favorite game developer because of their concentration on story and character as well asa gameplay. But after that ending, I just don't know what to think about them anymore.
Same. I'm so completely gun shy about them. I mean, if they don't actually listen to us and say ****** off or whatever and do their own thing (for whatever insane reason), it would be very hard for me to get excited about their next franchise. Why would we even think of subjecting ourselves to such utter disappointment again!?

Yeah. I didn't think Dragon Age 2 was that bad (except for the same areas being reused over and over). Sure, the ending was sort of being forced upon us and in the end had similar results, but it is the second game in a supposed trilogy. And it wasn't like Mass Effect in that it was always about one character and their travels. Shepard's story deserved so much more than StarChild and the colored explosions.
I can understand Bioware not knowing how to finish such a great serious... but honestly, when I have already seen about a dozen better ways for it to end on the internet from fans, it could have been done. I just don't know what happened to the story for the last two percent of the game. And it is scary to think that it might happen again with them.
Maybe Dragon Age 2 wasn't because it was the second game and they needed to set things up. Maybe that is just what to expect from Bioware now - a story that is interactive up until a point where you are forced into a decision that doesn't make sense or doesn't really matter. I hope that I am wrong and I hope that things are changed (or "clarified"), but until then... just holding the line.

This deserves a BUMP.
Just read through this article, and it was a fantastic read. Thanks for the bump.
I'm keeping this article location handy just in case I run across anyone who spouts off the words 'artistic integrity'. That last part of the article was golden.
This is what I use to respond to that...

They will reveal the real ending at PAX and if not then, immediately after. They're sticking to their guns because this has been planned from the get go. (Not provable fact, but an educated guess on my part.)

On a totally unrelated note, does anybody know what happened to Vido Santiago? I took the paragon path in ME2 so he should be alive, yet Zaeed never mentions him (not even when Shep asks him if he knows the "current leader of the Suns") and suddenly a new dude is leading the Suns. There was an entry on the ME wiki about him dying in the invasion but that seems to be gone.
And here I was hoping Zaeed would get another shot at him. Ah well.

I always thought that because Zaeed actually managed to shoot the pilot, he crashed, and died?

Dragon Age 2 was a bad rush job in my opinion. They had a good idea but they ran out of time. And don't get me started on that horrible, braindead combat system. No friendly fire, enemies spawning from everywhere, ugh..

I believe the lines were cut, but according to Zaeed, he tracked him to a planet where the reapers arrived. Vido was being taken by a harvester and he begged Zaeed to kill him.
He didn't.

Zaeed didn't shoot the pilot, he shot the guy sitting next to Vido.

That would still be totally uncalled for. Even if it is free dlc it still was an emotional kick in the stomach. Whatever happens, I won't ever forget that.

This. This so much.
I didn't enjoy what they did with the end of ME3 at all (ruined my interest in the entire series), so why invest time and money into another product by the same developer if they might disappoint me again just as badly? There're way more games out there than I have time to play, so it's not as if I have to stick with Bioware.

I think BioWare knows this damn well... I hope that the oncoming DLC/patch is enough to rekindle my faith. If not, I don't think I will ever be enthusiastic enough to actually buy another of their games.
