Checking in to let the powers that be know that I have not gone away (also getting my ears talked off by loud relatives ... zzz
).
Not only have I never before sworn as much as I have since trying Insanity for the first time, but it's also hollow knowing there will be no catharsis or pay-off for this effort.
This Shepard likes Kelly, which makes the fate of the Citadel, affirmed by Walters himself, even more horrid. Abruptly and unexplainedly moving to the Sol Relay? (This achieves ... what?) Teeming with dead bodies? Exploding to ensure a whole 0 survivors? Sure makes building up friendships and that Defense Force a fulfilling experience!
I've got to say, this really bothered me as well. It really left a bad taste in my mouth. We spent all this time on the Citadel, since the start of the game, really, getting to know people, their struggles, their hopes, their fears, only to have them all either end up as Husk chow or blown up in the end. That. Stinks.
I don't think any explination other than "They evacuated before the transport" or something will polish that turd.
