Exactly THIS! I do feel the same, but I am preparing myself mentally for this in case they don't deliver on what they had promised us. Byebye BioWare and SWTOR. It is hearbreaking to me, but what can I do? :crying:

I have a tip, see if you go off topic try and weasel something ON topic into what you said.

For example: Oh yeah I really want LI babies.

But on another note I think the whole blue, green, red ending thing is ridiculous and we got left with no real choice. ;)

Totally not what I have been doing past 400 pages. Nope, strictly on topic, since clearly Attenborough narrating mating rituals of creatures-which-should-not-be-named-in-this-thread is way more logical than the ending. ^_^

And to actually contribute, I'll link and translate the 'piece of news' (and boy, has this term ever been used more loosely) I found on our dear pelit.fi, which is the leading game magazine here in Finland. Incidentally, this is also a model example of lazy journalism.

www.pelit.fi/uutiset/472/Mass_Effect_3n_loppu_uusiksi

Valituksia kuluttajavirastoille, palautuskampanjoita...Bioware taipui nörttiraivon edessä ja lupaa palata Mass Effect 3:n lopun pariin.

Viritelystä ja ratkaisuista kuullaan toukokuussa, joten pelitallennukset kannattaa varmaankin säilyttää.

Complains to FTC, return and refund campaigns... Bioware gave in because of the nerd rage and promises to return working with the ending of ME3.

We'll hear about the fixes and solutions on April, so it's probably best to hold on to your save-games.

I know game critics etc have a somewhat more relaxed tone here than in, let's say Germany, but this 'article' still baffles me, it's not accurate, doesn't cite it's sources (well, there are to links, yes, but still) and so on. As many have said, if nothing else, this whole thing has really showed the true colours of mainstream game-media.

I don't like the indoc theory either, it not only shows what could have been but it gives Bioware what they wanted and if it was true it would mean Bioware cheated us out of the ending and that would annoy me more than anything <_<

Annoy you more than being left with an unfinished trilogy?

One thing that I don't like about the indocrination theory is the after effects of it - am I remembering right that people say that they don't feel as if their mind is their own even after breaking free of indoctrination? But then at this point I want Shepard to come out of this whole ordeal happy healthy etc etc

that could be were sheps story ends he breaks indoc goes on to break the reaper threat(harby escapes) but has to retire. then a new hero steps foward and continues the fight

Some of the stuff coming from "critics" and "reviewers" is so lazy, biased and down right unintelligent that it amazes me they have a job at all.

Maybe they can use it again. If Shep wakes up in London and goes to fight "for real" this time, there is a possibility we yet may hear those dialogues.

OK kind of off topic here, I'm starting a new ME1 character *hoping I don't give in due to ME3 ending*
And well I always go with Spacer, War Hero. Now I heard that background actually matters (go figure lol) and I'm wondering if I go with say Earthborn, sole survivor will I inevitably get renegade points or can I stick to being a full on Paragon?

On Topic: Can't believe that dialog was cut!, instead of making Joker the hero they make him a deserter? awesome......not

And the little blue children afterall? :D

wtf is this about blue babies. I mean I get the reference to Liara and Shep...but c'mon. Clearly, Tali is the "girl next door" of the series. And everyone knows they are the best ^_^

Tali's also the only female teammate and LI from 1+2 who isn't a) using you at the beginning, or B) is forced to work with you on the grounds of the chain of command. Lets face it, everyone else is in it for some other reason, she was in for the sake of being in from the beginning. Most teammates have it similar in this way, hell, even Garrus was technically using you in the beginning.

How was Liara ''using'' you in the beginning?

Well, that issue with a Prothean beacon was what piqued her interest. She confesses during the first game to that. What I mean is that everyone was on the team for a reason other than "the galaxy is at risk, I should probably help this guy". As far as I can recall, the only teammates that don't want anything from you are.
  • Tali (Could have went back to the fleet with a fancy drive core blueprint, stuck around)
  • Thane (Dying, and felt that he'd best go out saving innocent people)
  • Grunt (Debatable, he's withyou for the sake of killing things, but he could do that with any random guy)
  • Samara (Again, felt she'd best save a lot of people)
  • Mordin (Had to be him, someone else could have gotten it wrong)
  • Vega (technically, he's not part of CoC, but he also doesn't want anything from shepard either, around for the fight)
  • Legion (could have opposed the heretics alone, chose to help Shepard for the hell of it)

Maybe they all jumped ship... err, station, when the Reapers got there? Or some atleast. In truth we really don't know much about what's going on on the Citadel even when we get beamed onboard. Perhaps there are some still fighting in the end, at least until Shep blows it up (except in the control choice of course). Yet again, that's the biggest problem at the end, we don't know because SPECULATION FROM EVERYONE!

Sorry for flamboyantly late response (my phone battery died and I was forced to sit through another five hours of loud relatives without respite). If you'd like to be appalled, see this.

From another thread, putting it here just incase. If you thought last mission was light on material, you were right.
Bioware seems to have outdone Obsidian in butchering the ending.

"What could have been" ... just about sums up this whole debacle.

I agree so much it's not even funny. I don't get how this two-line atrocity actually exists on their NEWS section. That's something you type to your twitter feed, not on to the site of the biggest game magazine of any country.

I don't think it automatically gives you Renegade points, just changes the rate at which you gain them. Could be wrong though.

Indoc is pretty much provable theory. Though I don't like it much -- it shows how much can be/could've been added to the ME.

On the contrary, I think indoctrination in this case is non-disprovable, unless BioWare comes right out and says it's false (which I doubt they'll do, because so many people believe in it and LOTS OF SPEC......you know the rest). For that reason it's not a great theory, scientifically speaking.

Liara is the one and only...
She joined Shepard because he rescued her. Her interest in Shepard was aroused by the Prothean Beacon, but eventually she found out that there is more between them.
She is the reason Shepard is still alive after the Normandy SR1's crash. She stays true to him, no matter what's coming. She's hoping for a happy and peaceful future at Shepard's side, with lots of little blue children <3.
Except for that, blue scaly skin and tentacle-like hair is hot. Plus, "Embrace Eternity" is a really interesting... concept. :o:wub: To bad reality interferes with my plans here :crying:.

Also, Tali is into Garrus. Eww.

I wont buy any ME DLC that isn't ending first.

Also, I will not purchase DA3 if this ME3 debacle isn't sorted before.

Bioware's track record at producing quality game whilst under EA's wing has been poor. Exception of ME2 but I credit that to Drew Karpyshyn's writing ability.

Yep, I was totally gonna buy from ashes before the ending debacle, release day dlc controvercy be damned!  Now, unless they do something to address the endings, BW is not getting another cent from me.

Who isn't?  As I recall, even Specialist Traynor has a thing for Garrus. Then again, the vibe I got from her was similar to the one I got from... that red-headed specialist from ME2. That they're into everything. Yes, THING, not ONE.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion I guess :pinched:.
I have to admit that I peeked into Kelly's.. romance in ME2 during one playthrough. But as there are no scenes where Shepard actually gets THAT close to her, I suppose that's not considered being untrue.

Liara <3.
