I don't like the indoc theory either, it not only shows what could have been but it gives Bioware what they wanted and if it was true it would mean Bioware cheated us out of the ending and that would annoy me more than anything <_<

Annoy you more than being left with an unfinished trilogy?

One thing that I don't like about the indocrination theory is the after effects of it - am I remembering right that people say that they don't feel as if their mind is their own even after breaking free of indoctrination? But then at this point I want Shepard to come out of this whole ordeal happy healthy etc etc

But that's because the reapers were all around, if Shepard broke the indoc and then (somehow) destroyed the reapers once and for all, shepard's mind would be his/her own again.

This is my headcanon anyway Image IPB

Still can't get over how shiny Shepard is in ME1 lol (like a barbie)

Also, how old is Shepard supposed to be? I mean in ME3 they go on about her/him being an old solider...what is it like the 11th century? where you're ancient at 30? lol

He enlisted at age 18 and from the timeline in the codex Shep is about 38, if I remember correctly (Please correct me if I'm wrong!), so he has been fighting wars for 20 years. I'd say that makes him an old soldier, though not an old guy. ^^

SSV Sechelt preparing to go to stealth mode.

If your going to return the game? Please show some self respect and send it all back, if your going to send it back? Just my 2 cents on the matter. We are in this together people do not forget that and let's keep going. We still got a lot to do now so without further delay I leave it to those of you still awake to continue on.

HOLD THE LINE!

Ah right cool, I could probably work it out from the codex but I really cannot be bothered lol.

Shepard was born 11.04.1154. so (s)he is 32 years old by the events of the ME3 (and 29 during ME)

He/she is 30-ish, almost 40, if I recall it correctly from the timelines. But people on Shep's time live longer than us, so when they refer him/her as an old soldier they just mean veteran.

31 or 32 to  exact at the time of ME 1... I do believe Shepard is  28   or 29

Over two weeks and I'm still just as angry as when I first completed this game. Honestly, if you need a reminder of what we're fighting for just go back and play the game from london to ending again.

It's actually the most amazing fumble of all time, really. They managed to destroy an entire IP in 5 minutes, and that's pretty impressive. Three games and over 150 hours of bliss within the Mass Effect universe, and it's destroyed in the very last 5 minutes? That's gotta be some kind of record.

Liara's voice is too sad. She is a great friend for Shep but she is just too "emo". Tali however has this girly voice and shyness thats so adorable. In ME3 on the geth ship she flirts with Shep in a very cute way that never happens with any other of the LI's. Tali was my choice and I'm so damn sad there wasn't an option to get a happy ending with her.

Still holding the line!

The codex says the average human can live to 130 these days, so shepard had a long way to go...

He's off by about... oh lets say... 8 years... Shep is 29 in ME1, and ME2 cause its only been... "weeks" since Shep was reveived, and in ME3 Shep is 30... at least that's what I'm getting when I look at the timeline... Also you have to remember old to humans in the ME universe, is like 150+, and with the synthetics in Shep, that ups her/his lifespan by 50% according to Miri. So old for Shep would be.... 170+ maybe?

You're right. Shep was born in 2154, and we're in 2186 on ME3. He/she is 32 years old, and 29 when it all started Image IPB

Just double checked on the ME Wiki and looking at the dates Shepard is 29 at the time of ME1 so 32 in ME3.

Shepard said they're lucky to hit 150, which is probably the max age (kind of like 100 is for us). So, 130 would be more the norm.

Shepard is 29 in ME1. In ME2 she/he would be 31 because it's two years later isn't it?

Edit: Sorry to derail the thread about this I didn't mean to at all, and it's not all that important.
