Every time I think I'm ready to start playing games again, I sit down, think about it for a second, and decide that I'm just not interested.  SSX is just sitting by my TV, $60 wasted...

I fixed this by playing ME 1 and 2. I'll play very very slowly on insane and I hope that by the time I get to the ME3 ending there will be a DLC out.

Your not alone, i have the same problem. I tried playing other games but i can't seem to last more than 30 mins. It pretty much destroyed my passion for games.

yup. i finally found out how boring my life must have been before i even started with video games. tried skyrim, fallout, witcher, la noire, mirror's edge, deus ex, bulletstorm and even game of thrones genesis just for the heck of it. i failed. couldn't even get more than 10 minutes done before i alt-f4 my way out of them and ended back here.

Yea same here played like 10 minutes of the new Resident evil, it was good but.....i don't know something brought me back here:unsure:

Definitely.  I've played a couple of rounds of Battlefield 3, but that's only because a friend was playing.  That said, the entire time I was playing, I was just downright angry.  I wasn't enjoying it anymore.  I thought about playing other games, like Skyrim (haven't finished it yet), but as soon as the thought enters my head, I give up.

Oh gods, not Bulletstorm too. Before this, no matter how blue I felt, Grayson Hunt always managed to cheer me up. But now it seems even he can't bring my drive back :crying:

I envy You. I can't make myself do that.

In fact this whole mess affects other aspect of my life. I feel... empty, hollow.... I don't know.

But my work and family life are truly affected.

It just shows what Bioware created. This is the main reason of this outcry. You just don't do that...

If I understood it right, this “awesome” ending was created after leaking of the original ending. I never heard about it until now, and I am alarmed any ME fan would look at it spoiling the game. I don’t quite understand why for crying out loud Bioware couldn’t leave the ending as intended.

I know that feeling... The only thing I've been playing is RTS games with  no proper story like Sins of a Solar Empire as I can't be bothered playing another game with "story" as my soul have been crushed by this games ending.

Same for me, started from 1 again, did EVERYTHING possible in 1 and 2, on to 3 now,  I can't play anything else, I'm just not even thinking about anything else, it's very odd...I really didn't expect this to happen...

It only killed my drive to play ME anymore. I had 3 characters ready and 4 more planned, but now I don´t see the point. This includes future ME3 DLC. What for?

Same here.

I attempted ME3 again, first two playthroughs I couldn't muster the energy to get past Earth, the third I lost interest after starting Mars. I Have at least one char on ME2 I was intending to finish and import to ME3...but like many I no longer see the point.

Since then I've only been able to play a simple flash game. Heck, I went out shopping last week and for the first time in two years I didn't even look at any games stores. (I rarely buy, but usually glance inside to see what's on offer or what is due to come out.)

While I respect you guys a lot and only pop in here occassionally to make silly/random remarks, I do have to say on a more serious note that I think if you're allowing a game to affect your life, you perhaps need to step back and re-assess. I might be shooting myself in the foot when I say this, but your personal lives need to come before anything else. If anyone has played FFXI, you know the message that SquareEnix used to give whenever you signed in about not neglecting your personal/family life for a game.

I get a lot of people like to get immersed in the universe, and that's all well and good. But you need to be able to pull yourself out of that, or else you'll wind up in one of those funny YouTube videos like the fat StarWars doublesaber guy. <_<

Anyways, just a friendly reminder. Hold the line, but don't let your life suffer over a 60$ piece of plastic.

I've only been playing ME3 MP since the XP bonus is up, otherwise I don't know what I would play. When I pre-ordered ME3, I thought that I would be on at least my 4th playthrough by now, but I can't even bring myself to even start a second campaign.

this is actually very sad. :(

didn't actually think that a game like mass effect could force into depression. and i've actually been there before. now all i can do is f5 on a message board i used to avoid like hell, ignore all my college/work projects and take i don't know how many baths. (it's what i do when i don't know what to do. does that even make any sense?)

i mean, i read game of thrones, i watch everything from joss whedon and co. i should be prepared for random slaughter and death. i guess i just wasn't expecting all of this from mass effect.

Oh, I agree with this. The point is that I'm NOT thinking or dwelling about ME3 even though I'm posting in this thread.

Yeah. And I bet Bioware and ME would be the last thing you think of that would send into depression.

I wonder if they realise what a masterpiece they created and what a horror it ended with :crying:

see, there's my problem with it. i use video games, tv shows and movies and every damn fandom that comes with it- to deal with my personal life. it isn't all flowers and sunshines, but i'm okay with it. at the end of a day i can still play a game or watch the newest episode of whatever and kind of distract myself to maybe get a good sleep. things like that have always been my escape from reality. but yeah.. you get the point, i'm suddenly too tired to try to explain it further.

I'm pretty sure that everyone's just saying they can't play any other video games, not that they've curled up in the fetal position in the corner and haven't left for two weeks.  I've just filled the time I WAS playing with BSN, practicing guitar, and the gym.  Also going (gasp!) outside and doing things.
