You're right. After all that hype about retaking Earth from the Reapers, we never really got to do that, did we?

Jessica pretty much disporved that it was true. If you go back on the thread you will see her twitter post that someone asked her which indicated she was not stressing over this rumor.
That will always be true ,sadly, and a lot of people are stressing over this new leaked info and it just reminds me of how the bad ending started on this thread. It was quite heartbreaking to see everyone, including myself, express their sorrow of the ME universe being torn from under their feet in a matter of minutes. But I have to force myself to take this with a grain of salt until there is real evidence that this is true or not. Oh well, back to the waiting game which oddly we are all becoming quite good at.

2. ME 4 is set with Shep alive, but other than him being mentioned, he does not play any bigger role --> this is why we should have had different endings. One where he dies, and one where he lives.... it is easy to implement both scenarios without changing too much dialogue.
That's what I'd like. Just a throwaway line about "former Counsellor Shepard," or something like that. Enough to show that he/she lived, matters, and continued to have an important role in galactic affairs... but not so much as to interfere with the new game or story.

Mr. Bond speaks the truth. PR people know the best thing to do when someone hits pay dirt that you don't want released is to casually deny it, laugh at it and move on. If you try to deny it too hard, you basically "protesteth too much" which smart people pick up on.
The most important currency PR people have is very simply, credibility. Do not just listen to what they say. Instead take whatever you hear and apply three factors to arrive at the truth worth of a statement:
1) what was said
2) any history of the spokesman being less than truthful in other statements
3) the interests at play, i.e., if the person tells the truth could it be detrimental to them.
So if you have spokesman who in the past has shown to be misleading before, and it is in the company's interests for a rumor to be denied, factor that in to what you're hearing and weight it appropriately.

And if it's a prequel, how are we supposed to find the motivation to play it when we know everyone and everything is going to die horribly in 2186 anyway? [/quote]

be woundering that myself why would I play a prequel when I cant even make myself play the other 2....

Ah so true. Its the first ME game that I didn't start a second playthrou. I just have no motivation.

I'd also like something of a change in terms of playing someone who isn't 'the best of the best' or 'the chosen one', and who can't rely on people bowing/running in fear when you tell them your name or title.
In ME effect terms I was thinking - and this was right off the top of my head - more of a cross between LA Noir and Mass Effect set over three games. The first brings in a criminal gang as the advisary, with hints that maybe there is something else behind them. The second apparently brings that gang back in some form, with stronger indications that there is a lot more going on that it seems - with the ending basically telling you there is something 'big' behind events. The last game revolves around figuring out who or what is behind events, maybe a race trying to weaken the council races so they could grab territory (imagine if it turned out to be the formally comical Volus), get a seat on the council or maybe this is a new unknown species that is just trying to get noticed...or who sees the council races as a threat. If the hero becomes a Spectre it would be in the third game...or maybe if the trouble is internal they end up having the Spectres set on them.
Events in the original games could be referenced, and those characters who survived could make cameo's. Shepard could be on the council if he/she survived, or on message boards if they died...Garus might make an appearance in C-Sec - and commenting on if your actions remind him of Shepard based on if your imported Shepard was Paragon or Renigade and which way you are playing the game at that point....
*Sighs*
I just use that as an example as to the directions and ideas BW *could* have looked at in future titles. But in ten minutes they destroyed the ME universe AND put players off the games for life. The really depressing thing is when I can come up with such ideas in two minutes, when BW doesn't seem capable at this point of writing greeting cards....

Very fishy.

ount on it. I elected Anderson too, but Anderson is an old soldier. Soldiers are typically not very good at being diplomatic.. yup, Anderson must have hated both of us :

I never would've put 2 and 2 together for my G510. Is logitech to blame for having only 3 profiles?

This, so much this!
BioWare should read this...
The only thing I disagree with in that review is that the bad ending alone will be good. I expect to see a variety of endings, depending on your previous actions. So, pure happy ending should be also included among all others.
This is seriously the best blog about the ME3 ending that I've read so far. I cannot agree more with this writer. Apart from the point where he basically says ME3 HAS to have a sad ending where Shepard and crew HAVE to die. I do not agree with this at all. ME has always been about choice so there should have definitely been a way to get a 'good' or 'happy' ending where Shepard and crew survive. Other than that. Excellent read. Seriously EVERYONE who is even remotely familiar with ME3 should see this.
I agree with all of this!

During the mission in the illusive mans base (or it could be thessia), while you're talking to the prothean A.I. it tells you that it more or less needs to access the crucible to activate it. I'm paraphrasing of course, but the message is still the same. If you brought along the prothean A.I. like it wanted couldn't ALL of this have been avoided? And why didn't you bring it with you in the first place?

Wasn't it damaged or something?
But taking in consideration all the endings and its plotholes...I'd say Space Magic
