The "positive" side to all of this is i think i am hardened now. I cant see myself watching a movie or playing a game again and be so dissapointed from the ending. Everytime this will happen i (sadly) can say "still a better ending than me3" and then probably laugh about it >_>

And that is the saddest part...a sci-fi medium that should have gone down as one of the staples of the genre is now gonna be a scathing joke...

"wich is the saddest part of my post" <-- I was about to add this to my post but i see i did not really have to add it ^^

Good morning again all. I have to agree with you that I don't want an "explanation" dlc that just tells us why we should enjoy the ending we have - it is just too disconnected from the ME universe for that to make sense.

Though I guess they can always use more Space Magic?

This time multi-coloured space magic :wizard:
Atrocity reporting to sickbay, either the ending has made me physically sick, or I caught this spring-time flu from my mom. Personally I believe it's space magic though.

Thinking about it the worst case scenario is:

Ending Uncut edition, they just reuse some of the cut material and while it explains the Normandy it still pisses everyone off, Hopefully unlikely.

Best case scenario is Custom made endings for everyone-unlikely

So in the end a compromise is the most realistic hope, I.e an Ending uncut +++ edition with some new stuff that should hopefully explain Shepard alive and all that.

Ok, the indoc theory people are pissing me off more than Bioware with this ending. They comment every time I bring up the ending, treating me like an unaware child/moron. Kinda sad really, I'm at this point activly hoping the theory isn't true just so I can wave it in their faces. I used to hope it was true, but now...

This is from the comments on Youtube, my acc is Kaiserfangirl.

Note: This is about the third time someone brought up the indoc theory in reply to a comment of mine in a time span of 2 days. Needless to say I was ready to scream.

Youtube wrote...

I hated how Harby was so Genre savvy in ME 2, yet in ME 3
he leaves without checking whether or not Shepard is really dead. That
ending was so off the rails...
Worst ending ever.

Not so, at the end Harbinger shot Shepard and everything
after that was simply a dream. That's why the little boy was the avatar
and you couldn't save Anderson. Shepard was already... Indoctrinated.

I KNOW about the indoc theory.
I'm sick of people replying to every comment I make on the ending
with it. I'm not kidding. Almost every time I bring up the ending
someone screams INDOCTRINATION1111!!!11!
It isn't fact and all it does is turn the ending from a plot hole
filled mess into an incomplete cliff hanger. They are just giving
Bioware an excuse for their shoddy writing.

Either A) You havent even watched this video. /watch?v=ythY_GkEBck
B) You're one of the ones that thinks Bioware isn't capable
C) You are in denial of all the evidence not only in the ending but on mass effect's twitter feeds and other social networks.
(or)
D) All of the above
To say that Bioware had close to perfect writing just for it to be
"shotty" in the very end when it mattered the most is laughable. Do your
research and stop taking things at face value. Bioware = reapers,
players = indoc

I have been paying attention, I have seen those videos.
I've read articles, forum threads. I've been living on the Bioware
forums ever since I finished the game. I am not a moron.
IF the indoc theory turns out to be true, and they release DLC
showing what happens after Shep wakes up, GREAT. I'll be happy. Key
word, release DLC.
Some part of me is at this point hoping that the Indoc theory is
wrong so I can throw it in your face. Yes people like you are pissing
me off that badly.

Yea sorry about that, it didn't format properly. It was fine in the text box.

I edited it the second after I posted it once I realize it didn't come out right.

That doesn't mean much. I remember this mission. It was a minute short or something and I only ever discovered it on my 6th ott 7th playthrough. So nothing ever hinted at that being one of the main-issues.

Like I've stated before, organics vs. synthetics to me always seemed like a peripheral issue. And most other synthetics were either trying to kill us due to a glitch (Moon VI, tunring out to be the base for EDI), peaceful and in self-defense (Geth ME2) or under reaper-control or reapers themselves.

Fitting punishment either way. :?

The 4chan originated Terminator ending thingy is circulating on couple of the Finnish forums I lurk in btw. I hope no one is stupid enough to believe it.

Hmm... You make a very good point. Can anyone think of a time when organics and synthetics in the ME-universe ever fought, when it wasnt in self-defence or because of the reapers?

Well this is the problem with no one getting a straight answer out of Bioware, people will take on board any other theories or new (or made up) information because we just don't know. I really hope Bioware understands the situation that we're in at the moment and take this seriously.

I fought with my Xbox during ME because it thought it was a little know it all updating when I didn't want it to. Does that count? Lol seriously though no I don't remember that ever happening in the ME universe.

I'd rather Bioware doesn't loose time on "explaining" and focuses on "adding" new endings (as for me - happy-ending is a must).

I can't agree 100%.
I think happy end have to be part in SET of possible Endigs.
There should be worse Endigs and Endigs with shepard diying too!

over all it shoud more depend on what you've done the whole game and series before....
Indeed, one of this results shoud be a positive "happy" endiing.

I had the same issue with my PS3 when I started ME2 for the first time... It had to update for almost an hour ! Image IPB

Of course You're right. I didn't mean to imply that happy-ending is the only option.

I just ask Bioware to give those of us who want happy-ending a possibility to have one. Just 1 out of 16.

Other 15 ending can be totally different. I think the scale should be from nightmare to pink unicorns. That's it.

Problem is that to the reapers, an alliance formed weeks ago is nothing in the grand scheme of galactic history so they just don't care and probably assume there will eventualy be problems again.

Hi all, I'm kinda new on this thread :) would like to ask, what are the chances that Bioware will 'add a new ending' then just 'clarifying the available ending' only?
IF they do add new endings I really hope there is one happy ending with Shep getting reunited with his/her LI.

And another question: how do you cope with the ending(s)?
Even after days went by, I'm still thoroughly mad about it. Tried to contain it within and kept telling myself "It's just a game" over and over, still didn't work for me. Not trying to be overly dramatic, but it's like having a very bad heartbreak x_x

True but as Commander Shepard always says - there is always another way. The Reapers need some EDI programming.

Welcome! I can't speak for everyone here but I have been coping with the endings by being on this forum talking with fellow sufferers. We're like a support group Image IPB But I know what you mean about being heart breaking, I think most of us are having trouble even looking at other games because of that ending. (I would say those endings but we all know there is only 1 really!)
