Is there a statistic which shows how many people gave their game back to Amazon, Gamestop etc.?

Unlikely. Those figures are internal company stats. It is not to their advantage to release them.

I just don't get who said "ok, yes, this is the ending we want."

This is EA. They've released about 20 versions of Madden, sequels to every half cocked IP they've chucked out their gates. Here is a beloved IP, and they clearly want to make more ME games, so why the **** would they blow up their own universe? This is what I don't get.

Some technical artist who thinks he's Gene Wolfe making a non -ending? Fine, but FFS the Salarians, Krogans, Asari, Drell, Citadel, Spectres, even if all of is is blended mish mash of all sci-fi before it, were the STARS of this franchise. Even the goddamned space Israelites and their cylons were endearing despite us seeing it all three thousand times before. And yet, here, at the end of ME3, the whole universe is borked.

So what, exactly would be the next ME game? Hunter gatherers and wooly mammoth tusks?

This is what I don't get. (aside from the whole you're choices mean nothing because I want to talk about synthetics/organics even though we never really touch on it at all in the main plot. And also I want to have a starchild in the game. If I ever see another super powerful "child" in any game, any movie, book, comic book, tv series, I will ****ing **** myself. Has any of these "Writers" ever hung out with a toddler? They are just selfish **** who cry and crap their pants. whatever. stupid starchild.)

The real point here is the ending wasn't "so smart it went above our heads." it was so ****ing stupid that most of use can't believe we invested 100+ hours on something so stupid.

You know, as long as I got to choose which mammoths I hunt, I'd be cool with that B)
More than the colour of the mammoth, mind you.

I just assumed future ME games would be something that either takes places far in the future with a new set of aliens, or(more likely) something that takes places prior to the trilogy, like maybe a game about the first contact war. I don't know if I could bring myself to play that though knowing in the end the universe is screwed and everybody dies.

Time travel, go back in time and destroy the prothean ruins on mars and save humaity from destruction in the first place.

What really annoys me is the attempt to look "edgy" and "artistic" makes the game appear to be created by a emo teenager who thinks making a film in black and white makes it "deep" (dont get me wrong it has certain benefits as to the setting a tone of a piece, but lets face it how many awful movies have we all seen that the creator thinks it alone makes somthing art)

I wouldnt play it... What's the point? It's still gonna end in the same depressingly stupid way every time...

Prequels are - at present - entirely pointless.

We know how it ends and we know that nothing changes how it ends. A bunch of identical endings equating to Shepard committing mass genocide because some never before seen AI that looks identical to some kid Shepard saw die tells him synthetics will always destroy organics and that is why he has the Reapers killing organics in the first place and then presenting Shepard with three options that Shepard accepts without question as the only possibilities.

Top off with some random Grandfather telling his "my sweet" Grandchild stories about Shepard using a background image found on Google - this either to insult is by indicating Shepard never existed or to have us believe the Mass Relays didn't wipe out the Galaxy as their very own lore tells us they will (Arrival DLC) when destroyed.

Yeah, who cares about a Prequel? And a Sequel would be without Shepard, so who cares about that either?

I've been amusing myself with the idea of a game about the First Contact War, and I find it intriguing. If the ending to ME3 is not fixed, no way I'd ever buy it, but nevertheless, I feel it might have some potential in it... Then again, all that potential would be in the choices and plot, so... umm... *keeps calm and carries on*

Time travel could work. I'd like to go back in time to the place where whoever created the reapers in the first place, and stop those bastards!

Yeah, the sad part is I probably would have bought anything with an ME title before the last five minutes of the game. But, now... well I can't see how they can continue the series post or pre Shepard because either way it will be as depressing as s---.  :crying:

Hmm... What about a remastered version of ME1? Where at the end you're convinced by Saren to shoot yourself in the head... Because... Space Magic Image IPB

Maybe this is where we link into FF XIII-2 - time travel!!  So that means that Square Enix is going to save us from Bioware???? Image IPB

In all seriousness I wouldn't mind a remastered version of ME1 (once they've fixed ME3) I was playing it for a few minutes yesterday in an attempt to reignite my interest and all I can think of is how bad the graphics are....and how shiny my Shep's forehead is!

I'm playing FF XIII-2 right now, take my mind of the depressing ME3 ending. As long as there are no reapers in FF XIII-2 I'll be happy :)

very fine :)

Thanks, I had a bit of free time and noticed that a "_ completes ME3" wasn't made for The Room yet, so I thought I'd contribute to the cause.

Exactly the ending as it is renders all actions up to it pointless, endings unfortunatly are all that matters in the end (no pun intended) You spend a fantastic night with some one only to wake up and find they nicked ur stuff, tends to taint everything up till that point.

You can download an independant patch that will provide HD textures to ME1 and 2. The links are in PC Gamer magazine.

I think they have a special part of the internet for that...... so let's not do that one, just the red or blue mammoths then!

Actually a remastered version would be kinda nice... Maybe using the graphics of ME2, or perhaps using the engine they designed for ME3?

A considerable paradox when you consider it was the threat of the reapers that bought Shepard and the team(including any Li) together, in essence non of it would have happened.

oh god madden and at least twice a year they release a fifa football game then for 2010-2011 they released THREE need for speed games in a YEAR, that nearly KILLED the franchise if it wasent for criterion making hot pursuit a fresh look on an old game.

toss in the fact criterion have refused to bow to EA pressure and make a burnout game every 10 months which is why they released a half assed burnout crash arcade game just to show EA what happens when you force something.

theres ONE IP they have NOT ressurected and i think if they do  they will kill it with yearly releases.......ROAD RASH

EA is doing what everyone trys to avoid, EA are doing a john cena, shoving the same games down our throats year in year out when they let a developer take its time and make a good game EA try to get in on the act and RUIN IT.

need for speed was a great series but after the first underground it has just stagnated, EVERY IP EA has is devalued at a dramatic rate.

release a game with DLC included to last 6 months then STOP supporting it then build up for the "new" game which is the exact same as the old one but with "new" maps and "new technology" and a "superb" storyline.

in short its the same chit in a redesigned package.
