I've never actually experienced any lag on the MP. I don't play many multiplayer games, but honestly, I've been thinking that it was one of the most flawless MP experiences I've ever had :blink:

 So I beat the game yesterday, knowing full-well what was awaiting me at the end. I had read about them repeatedly, but I hadn't actually seen the endings. They were just as nonsensical, logic-breaking, and heartbreaking as I imagined. I hated playing through it, knowing full well that my 3700 War Assets (without MP, though I did play MP to boost it up) meant absolutely nothing. I also got the secret "Shepard lives" ending, which makes no sense because of the Mass Relays blowing up and destroying huge chunks of the galaxy in one go. I don't know how Bioware could have crafted such an amazing game, only for them to mess it up in the final moments :crying:

Yeah, in a world where we were carrying clubs and dragging our females about by the hair.
My dear chap, slapping the waiter because your food tasted off is going to get you a fine or possibly a jail sentence.

i don't know, maybe european servers are not the same quality than amarican, i don't know well how it works. But like someone said, i played maybe 15 MP and 3 times i experienced so huge lags that i was litterally kicked of the map, under or far above, and when i die, someone rez me but i m still stuck like 50 meters above the area... and i see absolutely no advantage of this situation, you can't do anything :/

artists who make bad pictures end up getting a majorly bad rep and then people start to avoid his or her pictures.

like bioware, the only way to hurt them is 2 ways

destroy there reputation

which in turns

destroys there bank balence

Since people seem to be posting their letters here, here's mine - I haven't actually sent it yet, so if you happen to actually read it, could you let me know what you think?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To Whom It May Concern:
I’m writing alongside other Bioware fans and gamers as part
of the Retake Mass Effect 3 movement in regard to the ending of Mass Effect 3,
and the Mass Effect franchise.
We’re very grateful for all the effort and care that has
gone into the development of the Mass Effect game series, and we appreciate
that Bioware has taken the time to evaluate and address our feedback;
specifically in the statement made by Dr. Ray Muzyka.  In light of his remarks, we’d like to clarify
some of our goals.
In Dr. Myzyka’s blog post, he states that Bioware is
currently working on “game content initiatives that will help answer the
questions, providing more clarity for those seeking further closure to their
journey.”
We would like to stress that expansion of the current
narrative, if presented without revision or additional options, is not an
acceptable solution to our concerns.
Many of us feel that the current ending structure fails to
provide either emotional or narrative closure.
It contains numerous elements that appear to either contradict previously
established ‘canon’, or to have extremely dire consequences which are
discordant with the tone of the Mass Effect series.  The experience of each ending (in terms of
what we see and hear) is also extremely uniform.  Any major differences are purely speculative,
and ultimately uninteresting, as emotionally, the endings are no different (for
example, the fate of Shepard’s squadmates is essentially identical in all cases.)
A lot of fans have already provided numerous suggestions, on
the Bioware Social Forums and elsewhere, of how to alter Mass Effect 3’s
conclusion, and what we would consider an ‘ideal’ ending.  While these vary, there is a common theme I’d
like to highlight: the inclusion of more choices leading to significantly and
overtly different outcomes – including the possibility of a
happy/positive/victorious ending (Shepard alive with his/her love interest, squadmates’
fates known, relays intact, galaxy rebuilding).
We would like to see the creation of additional or
alternative game content that will allow for a significantly different endgame
experience based upon our actions and choices throughout the course of the Mass
Effect series.  We would like content
that provides a logical and emotionally appropriate conclusion to a very
personally-crafted gaming experience.  We
would like the tone of the ending to be reflective of the rest of the game as a
whole, defined by the choices we made.
Thanks very much for your time.
Sincerely,
I agree. The "best" ending is no better than worse ones. And you really have to work hard to get it, to boot.
That Shepard will get screwed in every option sucks BIG time - I've enjoyed Shep's personal problems in ME more that those on the galactic scale. And those on the galactic scale - well, sure Reapers will be destroyed..along all their tech like Mass Relays. Which I can't say is better considering that without them many planets won't be able to sustain themselves, so how is this a better ending than the rest I cannot fathom.
Pointless and dissatisfying to say the least...
I completely agree with you, I posted links to this video in the forum,it kinda shows how we have felt about the Mass Effect Journey.
It seemed to belong here so this is the link.                   geekisawesome.com/4540/retake-mass-effect-3/
And guys try to remember that Dr. Muzyka said "april", not PAX.
We may get nothing at PAX, because it is too early for Bioware to reveal plans.
From the start we knew this would be long haul. Loosing faith won't bring us any closer to our aim.
Holding the line cost us nothing but some time and some engagement. It is not a big price to see that our pleas result in new endings.
At this point I don't think they can avoid addressing the ending at PAX, even if it is only to say that they will give a statement as to their intentions at a later date. I'd expect the least they would say is 'we are/have listened to our fans and are taking appropreate steps. We will reveal more information in X number of weeks'.
I'm not sure what reaction that would get. I'd guess accusations of trying to stall for time in the hope everyone goes away, and possibly a slaughtering in some sections for not being able to give a straight answer after having a month to consider their options and a suitable course of action.
I'd also expect that any information or statement about what they are doing about the ending would come first - if they try and start by revealing any other DLC...well they will probably find themselves talking to an empty room and dealing with a PR backlash that would make the first two weeks look like a vacation. Even some of their 'supporters' might have difficulty with the image of BW apparently placing money ahead of their customers.
Another tactic might be for them to start by saying they will have an important announcement on the ending at the, errm, end of the discussion. That would (hopefully for them) allow them to give potentially badly recieved information without getting shouted at for the next hour or a mass walkout. This, however, could also backfire by seriously irritating the (probably rather large) number of people who want the issue addressed at the start without being forced to sit through an advert for DLC they don't want and don't intend to buy.
The smart thing to do is, of course, give the customer what they want (remember the old adage Bioware; The Customer is always right?) and tell them that right from the start.
Incidently, if the news from PAX is not good...well might I suggest that those retake guys and girls going to PAX take along a length of black ribbon and if the news is bad wear it as an arm-band. If anyone asks you can say you are in mourning, for Bioware.
Endings all end in ultimate failure of mission. Shepard fails to save the galaxy when Mass Relays explode. Billions upon billions dead so a few billion may live? Failure.
Friends and allies sacrifices pointless if galaxy is left in ruins. 10k yrs into a dark age? No one has yet to reach space? Failure.
Opting for a much better ending where Failure is not an option.
So am I the only one who thought the Relays getting destroyed seemed fitting to coincide with the end of the Reaper threat?
After all, the Reapers created them to make organic civilizations develop along the paths they desire, and since the Reapers are no longer in control of organics, self-determination should take hold.
I'm not saying that Bioware handled it well, but the idea isn't that bad.
The destruction of the relays isn't really the problem for me, either.
But basically what's left of the military forces of the galaxy, being stranded in sol, is.
The whole thing with starving.
Machines don't always just explode if you overload them. Some do(some capacitors for example), but some are simply taking damage over time.
It would be one point less on my list of "why the ending is terrible", if the relays just decayed, without energy and calibration from the Citadel, after being overloaded by their role in ending the reaper-threat. .
So after half a year the relays could finally die off, remaining dead in space with no energy left.
The galaxy could exchange some quantum entanglers before and everyone could get home or ship some resources for rebuilding.
The Mass Relays would be like a memorial for each race what they did win that day.
And grampa holding the speech to his grandchild on a space-station, in front of the derelict relay.
In the background we could be seeing a large ship flying off by whatever the races of ME have come up with to travel through the galaxy.
On the other hand: In human history the winner of a war took what they could.
It's not like that.
People are just regaining strenght, waiting patiently for Bioware and will all be back once we know something certain.
Even though it might be bit slower we all should keep faith. Bioware knows what's at stake and after last two weeks they what to expect if things get out of hand.
I'm actually still checking this thread every few hours. I just don't post as frequently anymore, mainly because I'm waiting to see what BioWare is going to tell us at PAX.
Always ready to rejoin the direct battle though. HOLD THE LINE!
As above.  The worst possible thing BWEA can fool themselves with now is "there, see?  Everyone calmed down after the Doc's announcement, this will all blow over now."  Severe case of Craniobeach if that's the mood they're trying to spread.
Their reaction to OUR reaction to the April announcement will be really, really telling.  If it's some nonsense they think they can get away with because no one's watching any more, and people are pissed off all over again, and they're shocked... then they never had any plans to really do anything.
I've been saying from the start, I think this was some too-clever scheme they conconcted that was handled really poorly.  Was kind of surprised to see Forbes' David Their put forth the same analysis.  It'd be nice if the people asking us to respect integrity and be respectful might consider, you know, coming clean with us as an option... but people rarely think in those terms, and corporate butt-covering is the rule.
It's all up to them now.
I asked at the (german division of) Amazon, and they denied the rumor of offering refunds.
If I was that unsatisfied by the product, I should contact the publisher/studio - that's what they told me.
Really? Amazon refunded me, no questions asked. The refund payment cleared two days ago.
Maybe they could sense my ire........
If anything Electronic Arts North America probably was writing off inventory stock for Amazon here.. so Amazon was far more willing to accept returns than EA Europe would be since they're separate countries and I don't think EA Europe had the same level of price crash going on as North America did.  I noticed that it dropped to like $40 before EA/Origin started accepting returns.. it was probably the same instance that they agreed to write off inventory since the price increased to $50 the next day (meaning the retailer felt less risk holding their current stock).  It happens often in the retail industry.. just not usually with a brand new AAA release, and this publicly.
I think EA has always made it abundantly clear to me when I've bought sims 2 stuff electronically in the past, that it is not and never will be my property, and they have a right to pull it down any time they want for any reason. It's one of the biggest reasons I just never bothered to get involved with the sims 3.
Microsoft does the same thing with all xbox content.
And for some reason I can't fathom I had to pay for the Cerberus network (and I had a new, registered copy to start off with) in order to play Mass Effect 2 right before 3 came out. I really felt cheated but was just tired and wanted to play.
I'm so tired of being called a whiney entitled gamer as they squeeze 10 dollars out for every little thing after I paid 60 dollars. Im whiney and entitled just because I have an opinion. I'm losing heart in video games as a whole. It's an industry when they take my money, and artistic integrity that shouldnt be suppressed by my voice when I'm not satisfied. I wish Bioware would defend their fan base's right to an opinion and to voice that opinion 1/10th as much as they've defended their individual rights.
Basically, Assassin's Creed 3 is what I'm holding on for at the moment. The awesome thing is that they can have a totally nonsensical ending and THAT WOULD WORK because it's how they've set up the whole series. It is now my favorite series.
I'm glad I opted for buying AC art for our new house over ME art at this point (bc of ME's ending) and wonder if "all" those "fans" who defend artistic integrity want to buy the ME art I bought awhile back... I was actually planning on designing our basement's theme around Mass Effect. Crazy, huh?
