So after much debating, I've just decided to retcon the ending and write fiction for a better ending. It's actually been quite therapeutic. Lots of stress and frustration getting vented. And yet, I don't think I've cracked the tip of the iceberg

Though I do love the cupcake idea. That was a very unique and tasty rendition of comfort food from both sides of the line of scrimmage.

I did something similar and wrote my own ending. Whenever I get too down about ME3 I open it up and give it a quick read.

OK, I did smile while watching Garrus, I mean, Mr. Keener, on that commercial.

And I wish I donated to the cupcake thing. :)

Me too! by the time I found out about it, it was already past the cap.

Ooph!, just got a nasty reminder that it was not just the ending that was condensed but also the beginning
pastebin.com/ferTx1qx

The hearing begins and your are summoned; escorted from you cell by an
elite young soldier, James. On the long walk you are accompanied by your
mentor and friend, Admiral Anderson. Just as you are about to enter the
hearing, your old friend (lover?) Ashley/Kaidan arrives; but there's
little time for reminiscing as you are whisked inside. James and A/K
wait outside while you face your accusers. The hearing is a witch hunt;
nobody seems interested in the truth. Even with Anderson defending you,
it's clear the leaders won't listen to reason.

So much rich content just scrapped.

I actually fully expected something like this to happen. I would have made so much sense. It may have even made new players think "hmmm...I wonder what led up to this! Maybe I'll go get ME2" and it would have been a wonderful start for those players who *cough* have been loyal to the series for 5+ years...

:o how dare you I never lie lol. No seriously though I actually didn't smile...maybe the ME3 ending has taken my will to smile away? :(

Awww.  You know what, im telling you, this can only get a lot better.  Look at the people you've met in all of this.  The donations to sick kids.  *the cupcakes*  ^_^

We've done pretty alright if you ask me.  I think we will see some good things out of Bioware.  I really do.

Hope your right.  But it's really hard to trust them now.

Yeah same, I hope you're right but like stcalvin said it is really hard to trust them now.
If they come through I will trust them again, untl then I'm on the fence.

But I agree a lot of good stuff has come out of this, I just hope the best is yet to come :D

And they *know* that.  They really can't afford another blunder so soon after this.

Additionally, we've also directed attention to large gaming websites and the broken gaming review cycle.  This story has been discussed on economic and business level case studies of corporate/consumer relations.

I think this will end well.  It's got a lot of attention now.  Everyone is watching.

WHAT?! -spazzes- I need to stop fast-forwarding through commercials for a while! Damn you DVR!

I'll admit that I watch a lot of tv and have seen that dozens of times. I would have never guessed that that was garrus

The thing is I can't one-shot it either.  It usually ends up being several chapters.  But sure does feel good.:wizard:

HA! I know exactly what you mean! I was trying and failing to write a different script and I just ended up opening a new window and writing about 20 pages non-stop. I actually wrote two endngs, one where Shepard lives and another where she dies. It was extremely theraputic. Even though I am still angry at the actual ME3 endings it definitely helped me move on.

The best part about my ending is there's no space magic! :wizard:

I was reading IGN ME3 guide (don't ask why) and it said

"All ending cutscenes have a few things in common, with some very slight differences."

haha, then the mention that the difference is only the color of the explosion. I like the little youtube video that they have of all the explosions B)

I remember they kept promising that this hearing would happen. Even after the demo came out, someone said there would be more stuff that happens in the beginning of the full game. Imagine my disappointment <_<
(Although it certainly doesn't compare to my current disappointment)

There is no space magic in mine either.  Some indoctorination, some grit and what not.  Pretty much the intro is her "waking" up not remember what happened but being badly wounded and trying to recollect the how's and why's of what the previous night's events entailed, while she's bleeding out.  It's definitely a work in progress and I posted it for some friends because they were curious what I could do with it on dA and FF. (Yeah I have no shame when it comes to self-promotion)

so the cupcake thing already reached the goal? damn it.. i really wanted to donate for that.

but yes. 3:50am and i just managed to finish my mail.. 4,000 words is probably not a good thing.

also: the dress up as marauder in front of the bioware offices? sign me up for that. did start on a n7 armor replica this year but actually doubt that i'll ever finish it anyway.. marauder would actually be kind of nice to pull off.
