Btw guys... I found another nail in the coffin of the indoctrination theory.

The shadow broker lair tech they show off, as in parts of the ship being imagined by Shepard?

If you gather all the war assets, it includes a blurb under Crucible for "shadow broker ship tech", you pick up the scraps of Liara's broker ship on a planet and they introduce it's power mechanisms into the crucible.

So... GG on that. That'd explain the 1m1 thing as well, just bits of alliance gear built into it.

Unfortunately the Indoc. theory is nothing more than wistful thinking and fan created theory to trying to explain  away the nonsense that  Bioware pulled. Sadly, the  endings have no rhyme or reason... some Dev's just want to watch their series burn.  Bioware is not going to use the theory because then they have to some how pay all the people  royalities who came with it.  Using that theory opens them up to  legal issues.

I don't know guys, I played again last night and got to the second dream-sequence. All these voices of the dead, if you listen to them, they're saying really creepy stuff and surprisingly fitting things if you assume it's the reapers.
Also when Ashley gets back on board afteer her hospitalization she says "How do you fight something that can worm its way into your head?"

I'm not saying the theory is true, but there are a lot of things that make me think there is more to it than just coincidence.

Ahh more of the  - "Oh this stuff is not important the player does not need to know" content that removed from the game... why is the more I find out  about stuff that was cut, the sicker I get to stomach.

Is this for real? (pastebin.com/ferTx1qx) How could they think that it was dispensable? I, for one, think it would'va made the game so much better... :pinched:

They should have made it like halo 3.
If you didn't played the first games you simply wont get a dirt about what all the fuzz was really about.
If you try to argue with "the story was not as deep as the one from mass effect" then I have to dissapoint you.
The core story of Halo ist not better or worse then the core story of mass effect.
Bioware should simply made the beginning with as it should have been and not convenient for cod newcomers.

I agree, I've been avoiding listening to him for days now, I guess I have to suck it up, cry my eyes out again, then get to the real good part of where she wakes up in the rubble back on earth~! (Big fight scene with Harb, for those who want a Harb fight) :D

I would honestly recomend that Shepard not take part in that fight. He/she is ****ed up to hell and back. Have him/her wake up, get dragged back to safety by LI or Garrus (if he's not the LI just because him and Shep are bros) and then just have everything thrown at harbinger, Krogans, Turians Salarians, Gunships, Dreadnaught rounds. Just the whole galaxy throwing itself to defend Shepard for once as opposed to everything resting on him/her.

But that's just my thoughts atm

I haven't listened to him at all since I played the game my one and only time. I would just get angry and want to shoot him even though it wouldn't do any good :(

Very good point; and I think this hasn't been brought up before.

They wouldn't pay royalties. Everyone that has contributed to the Indoc Theory would give it up for free if given the chance.

They wouldn't have to give it up. It isn't patented. There would be NO legal ramifications. Not to mention that it was speculation created surrounding Bioware's body of work. If someone tried to patent or license the IndocTheory, they would not be able to do so unless allowed by EA/Bioware. Where in the hell did  you come up with the idea that Bioware could be subject to legal action pertaining to speculation surrounding their own product? Do non-CJ majors typically have tis little knowledge of civil law systems? I hope not.

Good morning all - as far as legal issue go, all Bioware would have to say is that that had been their plan all along, the fans had just figured it out. They own the brand and the intellectual property rights so with these ideas freely circling the internet Bioware wouldn't have to pay anything in royalties.

That's what I've been planning on doing, and no Garrus isn't the LI, its Liara and that blueness that I've whorshipped for 5 years... Okay that sounded really creepy... :?:whistle:

As exampled by the Tali photo, and of course the ending scene with granpa and the child.

Agreed, but this is for posterities sake, so I'll have to go through it... multiple times, and once in game, just to be sure of the correct lines. :crying: The thing's I'll do to make my inner Shepard get back with her blue goddess... :innocent:

Fiddled with my earlier comments here about yesterday's Wall Street Journal article and turned them into a blog post so I wouldn't lose them:

True Player Agency

Not that I think it's anything profound; this thread just moves too fast and I lose things. Besides, maybe somebody can use it in some upcoming BBC Mass Effect 3 Ending Debate Series.
Or a symposium on the effect of :wizard:Space Magic:wizard: on RPG player agency. Or, um, something... else...:?

BTW -- NICE JOB everyone here who commented on that article. With just a couple of exceptions, I saw civil, smart, professional comments that made me proud to be part of the Fleet!

Now I'm seriously regretting listening to the little bugger, casue it makes me want to go over to my sisters house, punch her kid and tell him he ruined the ending of ME3 for me... >>; I'm not sure if I'm supposed to feel that way about my nephew... You know what... SCREW the little MFer, I'm doing it right as she walks up to the destroy option on, so no one who reads it will start to cry in pain and loss, cause that would just freaking suck.

v,v he wears them all the time, so last time I visited them I called ahead and asked them to make sure he didn't wear one.. they were all like why, so I had to explain about the ending, and said if he was wearing one, it wouldn't be good...

Sadly, my 9 y/o called out starkid when he saw him. His exact words were "pointless abomination", watched the ending and glanced at me like I'd done something wrong and said "What was the point of Sovereign? Don't ever do that again."

I was gobsmacked, but if a kid can see through the fluff why couldn't the writers???

yeah... Needless to say, he wasn't wearing one, but he might be when he's over here... Tomorrow... I hope my G/F is at the place before I am, cause she knows about the endings... or hell, even our roommate would tell him about it... If he's wearing one and I'm there, I'll blow up at him, then sit down and explain it to him, hopefully he doesn't take it too hard, I am his only aunt after all... so that would be really hard on him...

Anyways, back to writing... So far a paragraph already... *celebrates then goes back to writing in earnest*
