Cooler heads are prevailing, for the most part.  Tensions are at a low boil, but since there's nothing really going on we're stuck in limbo.  I think that's more frustrating (the not knowing) than knowing bad news.

I think you're right. Better know something (even bad/neutral news) that don't know anything.

Frustration will only evolve into "seek for blood" state probably.

True true.

Now that I think about it, its something to be proud of.

Think about it, like the guy said Bioware has gotten alot of flack over the years on their games. From anti gays to a conglemeration of other groups that they've pissed off.

Then they screwed with our ending.

Its like a sleeping giant woke up, shoved all groups asside and taught them all how you REALLY make a buisness quail at sheer NERD RAGE!!!!

Sadly, my 9 y/o called out starkid when he saw him. His exact words were "pointless abomination", watched the ending and glanced at me like I'd done something wrong and said "What was the point of Sovereign? Don't ever do that again."

I was gobsmacked, but if a kid can see through the fluff why couldn't the writers???

My 9 y/o was the same. He watched the ending with me and asked me what the hell had just happened, before listing many of the points that we have all mentioned. He was very offended at the thought of Joker running away.

So was mine.  He called the crew from ME1-ME3 the "Royal Disfunctional Family".  He amazes me alot of the time.  That's an AZ education for you.  giggle.

He sat through all three games, knows the lore, characters, enemies.  He's a smart cookie.  Sadly, I did new game plus in hopes of something different and I told him about it.  He just shook his head as he watched muttered that if that was the ending was the same and if it were different it didn't exist accept in the writer's mind.

He's too dang smart for his own good.  3rd grade taking 8th grade english classes so he knows his stuff.  Loves to read about science and astronomy.  Wants to do astrophysics like me.  I can't help but get all pigeony puffy chest when I think about it.

Awww that's brilliant, smart little guy. Maybe you should take him to Edmonton (sp?) and get him to have a go at the writers of Mass Effect, he's probably smarter than them lol.

He's writing his own ending to the series to give it a proper send off.  I can't wait to see what he comes up with.B)

Kudos to your son. I've been considering writing all new endings for the whole series, based on choices made...

But it seems someone has already done it.

I have a worrying thought about what one of these game initative might be. I bet it's going to a comic explaining what happens after the game ends! I hope i'm wrong I'd much prefer to see an explanation on the actually game. As well as aditional endings, with the posibility for a happy ending.

You did NOT just say that. Ick. Sounds all too plausible.

Its sad when players care more about the series than the ones who created it...

But still. Holding the line in secret ambushes

I am very proud of this group.  We have our highs and lows but it's definitely the lull before the storm if they (BW) wait too much longer.

They won't wait much longer than PAX. If PAX comes and goes and they say nothing **** will hit the fan all over again.

And if PAX comes and goes and all they talk about is some new MP DLC again, we must demonstrate the Rage of the Nerd, and this time its gonna be even worse because by that point, we're being ignored and civility, even among the cooler heads is gonna be REAL hard to find.

It's only human nature.  I hate using that term because its such a cop-out at times.  We have a goal or goals and keeping eyes on it helps, but in truth its only a matter of time before people completely wash their hands of the whole thing or become more extremist.

Extremism is bad, useless and for who don't have a mind.
You can tell/think/write what you think/need/want without rage or act or extremism.
The world will be a really better place if a lot of people can see that.

I will do for finally trying the grissom academy (was bugged in italian xbox version), but after doing that mission i will shut it down. Useless playing ME3 if they first don't change the end, it will only improve my hate for the series.

True enough.  I'm waiting till PAX to make my final decision.  If the panel can't face the audience on the hard questions then what is the point of sticking around.  Life is full of hard questions and they are in the business of supposedly making people happy.

Whatever comes around the corner with the news the words "artistic integrity" or anything involving the word art in it better not be uttered because it just sounds callow and sadly egocentric.

That reminds me, I better remind my friend to give the group that has torches and pitchforks a wide berth.

I concur.  But try telling that to the masses.  Eventually mob mentality takes effect and then all meaning in whatever cause you were fighting for is lost.
