Yup, it's like missing "something".... it's hard to really explain it completly....  (Maybe because of my crappy english too).
For that i'm "searching" a way to play ME 1/2/3 English, i need to search if i can change language within my ME games on xbox, don't remember if i can do something like that... me3 i can use the original english audio, the subs will help too probably.

Your english is fine.  I know what your talking about.  I had that problem when I was doing linguistics studies.  Something that would be funny in Japanese wouldn't make sense either because of culture or the context didn't make sense with the translation.  I can commiserate.

Because of that i read/see film/telefims/book in english ;)
I will find a way to play ME (series) into english
Well, you're lucky... we italian haven't got games good enough to be translated into English ;)

Woke up to get a glass of water and decided to check in.
Things good here? Everyone is doing fine?

Everything's pretty peachy at the moment.  Quite light-hearted.

I think part of the problem is also how much can be lost in translation. When I watch something in Dutch and they have english subtitles I always wince a bit because while the words are a correct translation, they don't fully grasp the meaning.

Yep, missing content during translation is expected, but we italians have an incredible talent at changing things, instead of adapting them.

First example that comes to mind: in the Italian version of Firefly and Serenity they don't swear in chinese, ever. The translators decided that it wasn't needed (when in reality it's an important part of the series)

Even english shows have that problem.  It's probably why I don't watch too much television.  Not saying I'm silly or anything but it's like listening to a monotone narrator try to exclaim.  It never ends well.  :pinched:

Not only that...
about manga i will talk about the two version of X-1999 series we've got ;)
Film.... what about Star Wars? To give an example? <_<
Telefilms/books... all have a lot different....
Serenity (Firefly) sure is done bad with italian translation/adaptation

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, FINALLY!

Thank you for doing something that BioWare didn't!!

The information is in the codex, which (at least for Anderson) changes depending on your choice for councilor in ME1.

The problem with all this, using Ipad apps, twitter and even comics/books is that it leads to huge holes in the actual game.

why the hell is Udina councillor?? - oh , Andersson stepped down in one of the books..

where is Emily wong? oh, killed in twitter

Who the hell is Kai Leng? Oh, appears in some comic/book

Etc, etc. Nothing of this is then actually discussed in the game.

Books and comics and apps should be for widening and deepening a game setting, not cut out important information from a game itself.

Thus ends todays rant of yours truly...

YES I totally agree with you on this.  It's fine for them to use that stuff but it should supplement NOT REPLACE the game.

Then they totally mention stuff like Grayson without even telling people who he is... total facepalm. They have a weird mix of stuff put in for big fans whove read everything and at the same time, dumbing some of it down to incorporate new people.... I don't get it.

:pinched: The Grayson mentions all went completely over my head. It sounded like a DLC thing, but unlike the filling-in for Overlord, their dialogue was all stuff like "when you think about what happened to Grayson..." that left me in a corner in the dark thinking "BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO GRAYSON :crying:"

Another question about the end of the game (for the fan fic I'm writing)
Which side of the Normandy are we viewing when it gets hit by the weird pulse thing? Its for a reference of the Thrusters that blow up(kinda).

Starboard, or the right side when facing forwards

You are looking at the Starboard side of the ship when the thrusters blow.

Well most peple are assuming that He is traveling at FTL speed rather than doing a relay jump when the wave catches up, and I think what most people say is they are "At FTL", when traveling at FTL ;)

I think its just stated that they fall into a pocket of space during their jumps.  They travel through a "corridor."

Mass relays function by creating a virtually mass-free "corridor" of space-time between each other. This can propel a starship across enormous distances that would take centuries to traverse, even at FTL speeds. Before a vessel can travel, the relay must be given the amount of mass to transit by the ship's pilot before it is moved into the approach corridor. When a relay is activated, it aligns itself with the corresponding relay before propelling the ship across space.

From the wiki.

So basically its FTL on Steroids? Sweet~! I just put jump down as a place holder for now.
And I'm done with the Non Original stuff~! On to the true heart of the fic, and some fun time~! Though I did throw in a couple lines of dialogue that would fit the characters in the BioWare ending... just cause I could, and they seemed to fit.
EDIT: Typo :o

As long as the Normandy stays out of fluidic space everything should be kosher.  ;)

I just made a fresh pot.

Nothing really new going on.  More talk of endings.  fan fic endings.  General BS.  It's actually quite relaxing while I work on chapter 2 of my own ME3 ending.^_^

That... was one... of the most trippy music video's I've ever seen, but then again, that what most of the vids for the Beattles were, trippy stuff.
