Anyways, I stumble on this thread: http://social.biowar...ndex/10653916/1
About a guy whose been camping on ME twitter and said that BW might announce a new DLC that has something to do with the ending on PAX. Although they (BW) cannot release the estimated time on when it will be available.

So.. Thoughts?
*searching mass effect's twitter, looking for clues*

Its a tarp
Don't trust anything BioWare says till they release something. I think that is something we've all learned from this experience.

So has any of the gaming magazine site's had a pop at retakeME3 group about the cup cakes we are sending to BioWare in protest off the endings?

We're sending cupcakes... To BioWare... To tell them we don't like that they ****ed up the endings... Yeah, there's no way this could go wrong.

And Bluewolv is right, we're getting a tad off-topic, not by much but still.

Yes but its dextro-DNA cup cakes shhhh Image IPB

I guess they're gonna keep total radio silence until PAX then, eh?

But...that was not my Shepard! Or anyone's Shepard. That was too....passive and dumb. It's like
Little kid: "Shepard, trust the word of the ghost of a kid you only saw for 5sec on Earth, make everyone robot, and oh! Don't forget to die in the process!"
Shepard: "ay ay, sir" *jumps and dies*

<_<

As soon as I saw no  blue or Red  dialogue option to tell that little brat to go to hell... I stopped caring.  The endings because null and viod because they were so OOC for  Shepard.   So the whole  but  Shepard lives after the destroy ending agrument is  just as cheap as the rest of the endings..  All the endings are cop out  IMO.. all of them.

Well, there is a saying that it could turn out really really good (they are SERIOUS on fixing the ending and using the lengthy time to create a master piece) or it could be very very bad (they're doing nothing about it x_x or just doing some half hearted effort to 'clarify' the ending -yuck-)

Oh well, I guess it's back in to the 'wait and see' mode..

And for me, even if the DLC went out, I'd probably wait for spoilers and player's review on it. Just to make sure that the stuff I purchased is the stuff that I want

Edit: better lay-out. Typing with mobile -ugh-

Its not Mass Effect related*, but for those needing the dose of sci-fi 'epic' they missed from ME3 check this out;

(*In fact there is a connection to Mass Effect. Some of the music in the above comes from a company called 'Two Steps From Hell'. They usually do music for film trailers, Batman being one of the films, but have also had music used for...Mass Effect 2)

if they are listening as they say, they'll be adding....if they are 'clarifying' well.....i certainly won't be paying for clarity...

no changing game endings is not dangerous, it makes a point to the developers than there making the games for the FANS and not themself.
it also allows developers to have a franchise continue and in some cases start a new franchise.
bioware did say "this is not the end of the mass effect universe" , well the endings say otherwise, the ending says we just destroyed the universe

no universe = no more mass effect no more franchise

the ending needs to have more than just an A,B,C every other ME game had nearly 6 per game BUT bioware stated that ME3 has SIXTEEN endings and we have only ONE (in 3 diffrent colours) they cant call that 3 endings or in some cases they call it 6 (yes i saw the video where it showed you the good, bad and medium ending of each flavour) so yeeeeeeeeah changing the ending is a good idea and also gives developers a chance to see that there fans care.

games that are shoved down our throat each year (need for speed, fifa, madden, PGA golf, COD, battlefied just to name a few are like john cena, it starts off freaking awesome but then it gets on our nerves then it just gets to the stage of it being more chit diffrent day.

games that are released every 2-3 or even 4 years we all know its going to be great and we can all expect the game to be a massive hit and amazing gameplay and an even more amazing ending.

games like the gta series, there released every 2-4 years because there in development for at least 2 years before its announced. apart from gta 3 and vice city

gta 3 = 2001
gta vice city = 2002
gta san andreas = 2004
gta 4 = 2008
gta 5 announced 2012 release date 2013

this is just an example, games in a 2 year development always make sweet games and need no hype because its expected.

the 1 year development for me3 was really good as it was going to be great, promises made a week before release hyped it up huge but then ALL those promises were broken.

rockstar promise a bigger and better game each time they make GTA and they keep it, they also promise a full interactive story which they keep.

red dead redemption was a f**king awesome game, so awesome fans are screaming for a second RDR with marston in lead role again (undead nightmare is a non-cannon DLC) and rockstar have dropped hints on a sequel, L.A Noire is a confirmed sequel.

rockstar DOES listen to feedback and DOES listen to the fans and what the fans say needed improved and what should be in the game is put into the next game.

now if bioware took the same outlook as rockstar then the mass effect series would have been THE KILLER sci-fi RPG of ALL TIME but since they dont and they just care about "ARTIST INTEGRITY" then there idiots.
BUT BIOWARE has a chance to redeem itself to the WORLD as its still in the news EVERYWHERE and the RETAKE MASS EFFECT protest is gaining more speed and more people each day.

by saying that were "entitled brats" among other insults is giving bioware a VERY BAD reputation and it making it look like a company that does not care about fans and care more about money.

even having there own staff admit that they ignore feedback from the fans.

a couple of links i have makes me think were all being suckered

http://www.qj.net/pc...effect-dlc.html

http://www.qj.net/pc...r-feedback.html

http://www.qj.net/xb...-cutscenes.html

so yeah some of those links made me think..........were being f**ked around by bioware

To me 'clarrifying' the ending would be the second most astonishingly stupid thing they could do, after 'do nothing' - which in any case is probably not a viable option. One of the reasons for saying this is that the general concensus is that we don't mind waiting for a new ending as long as its good - I don't think anyone is under the illusion they could pull one out of their pockets over night, or even for that matter in the time they've had since the release, unless they were already working on it before the game came out.

What we want is a statement that they are changing the ending, they are changing it to give more options and be in keeping with ME 'lore' and a rough idea when to expect it. Heck, I suspect that even if they ended up having to delay its release because it was turning out to be more work than they expected we'd be willing to forgive them if they are honest about having to do so.

babylon 5 and two steps from hell..... 2 of my favorite things :D

shows that you can have epic and "bittersweet" endings without breaking the story and getting lots of plotholes. really loved that show.
only ever saw it in german, might get the orignal and watch it all again..... *sigh*

Only thing I do at the same time as surf BSN is play EVE Online.

Anyways, off to bed. Good luck all. And remember to take some time to yourselves guys and gals, don't burn yourselves out yet...BioWare isn't worth it. Take some time to relax, so you can come back ready for more.

Keep up the good work peeps <3

If they do change the ending. Not is it just a smart move, it also proves that Bioware do listen to their fans. That will also improve sales for future games. They have the choice to fix, and give themselves credibility again. Bioware I sincerely hope you understand there is a lot of money to be made in this.

There has been no new information about the endings from Bioware. The best we can hope for is PAX or sometime later in April.

ME2 actually had over 200 different "endings", if we're going by Biowares definition. In ME2 there were 200 different ways it could end, if we account for all the squadmates lives and all the crews lives, including the life/death of shepard. So, not only have they made bad endings, but they've also made substantially less "endings".
