TamiBx wrote... Where is my promised ending, Bioware?!
Honestly, when I finished it I had partially hoped that the ending we got was a temporary one and that they would expand it or something...boy, was I wrong...
So i did a 2nd play through and the game is still amazing but I just still cant understand what went wrong with the 'ending'.
I did end up getting the whole N7 breathe bit which makes me wonder why the hell BioWare added that cut-scene into the game when those where suppose to be the 'endings'. I just don't get it.
I simply refuse to play through to the ending. My game has not been sullied by it.
Personally speaking I can't play after Rannoch. I play Thessia and then I just alt tab the entire conversation line after the Kai Leng fight. It was such bad writing. You know writing is rushed when a game has to resort to Plot Armor or some unkillable enemy to advance the plot.

This exactly I said this when all the ending chatter started, and I will say it again:
"As it stands, I will NEVER finish ME3. I will not let someone else's mistake destroy a 5 year long love affair with an otherwise amazing game. I will NOT finish ME3. Head canon all the way!"
That's pretty much it. Headcanon can get me through it, and (almost unfortunately) the rest of ME3 is good. The only difference is that it's considerably less than 5 years for me; I first encountered ME only late last year, and was amazed to find a game for the first time (for me) that packed real emotional punch. That's what makes the whole ending saga all the more dissapointing.
@Lord Costantino I don't understand; I would rather they had made a game full of bugs with an amazing ending than with a bad ending but perfect game. I mean, seriously? ME is about the story, not multiplayer or kinetic <_<
I thought the face import thing was going to get me annoyed at the game, but that was just a small irrelevant problem compared to the ending.
Hello, fellow retakers... I didn´t post here in the past few days, as I had nothing to contribute (and was quite busy in real life).
I heard about that cupcake action and think it´s such a great idea... as I don´t own a credit card, I couldn´t participate, but I wanted to show my support with my new signature:
this is really worth a read. and to quote " If you create something, and your readers hope that what you just gave them was, in reality, an “it was a dream all along” ending, because that would be better than what you wrote, you seriously. ****ed. up." it nearly had me crying and laughing at the same time.
and back again. just found out that the project i thought we had to finish till thursday, is only due in two weeks or something. pfew.
so, how's the line holding going?
Thanks for sharing - this is a GREAT read and very funnily written to boot. He has some killer quotes in here.
So I tried to play the original Mass Effect again. I knew that it was going to be a longshot that I could actually get through the full campaign, but I just wanted to try. Got thirty minutes into the game, while talking with the Eden Prime scientists. The one who is "slightly crazy" and on medication said:
"Is it madness to see the future? To see the destruction rushing towards us? To understand there is no escape? No hope? No, I am not mad. I'm the only sane one left!"
And to think that I normally had knocked that guy out. Now, I just turned off my Xbox because I knew he was right. There is no hope. That ending needs to be fixed, because random dialogue should not make me want to stop playing.
Hey guys, since alot of you guys are probably bored with constantly F5'ing, here are some inspirational vids i have been watching over the time of our movement. Im sure you all have seen 90% of these, but in case you just joined, here are some reviews and inspirational vids, maybe mr Bond would like to have some of them in his post, thats for him to decide.

But we got an epic slow motion stab in the side and i'm sorry but i was shouting 'Thats for thane you son of a ****' afterwards! TBH i think i should of seen it coming when Hackett was telling you we aren't really ready for this even though i had maxed out the War Asset's but hadn't bothered with the MP on my first play through.............. Maybe marauder shields wasn't the first thing to give us a warning about the ending?
I still wanted a wee bit more from the fleet battle in space though....... Like cutting to it when you've done like the first part of retaking earth as they start lauching hammer from the carriers etc. Starship Troopers style! Wrex shouting at the top of his voice surrounded by humans COME ON YOU APES DO YOU WANT TO LIVE FOREVER!? That would of been epic!
Come on this is a great drinking game movie - several ways to do it - one how many differences from Dragon Ball to the movie - most people don't realise it was based off Dragon Ball and not Dragon Ball Z......lol -
Hmmm......which reminds me - might have to create a ME3 drinking game just to get through the ending.......

Oh yeah, because when you are too drunk, you won't even realize that the ending is that bad
