That was Drew Karpyshyn's version. If he stayed and Mac went to work on TOR we'd have such a better ending.
I could live with that ending. It makes much more sense than star child.

Just a quick though. Many people are complaining that control was taken away from us and that non of our choices made difference to the ending. Well, your choices made difference to everyone leading up to the ending. If you were paragon, your philosophy is NOT that the end justifies the means. So wouldn't that mean you were contradicting your own morality?
"Oh so what if i killed 1 billion people to get to this stage, it's not like it changed anything for my character" --- this is fine if you're renegade
But if you were paragon, all your choices saved lives, brought people together, saved entire races from extinction. Just because Shepard is doomed does that make it all meaningless?
When in the end the choices you make invalidate what you have achieved and the way you achieved them. The paragon is more "there is always another option" to the renegades "the ends justify the means" e.g. the collector base when shepard says we will find another way to stop the reapers if you choose destroy. And yeah i made peace between races that will never see each other again, sure i saved human colonys but there gunna starve to death now they are cut of from everyone else. I dont give a toss about shepard he was just a plot device for me to navigate the story, an avatar. I would have liked my inevitable sacrifice to achieve somthing rather than just assisting the reapers and causing a LOT of deaths via a galactic dark age for no apparent reason.

But they will all be stuck on Earth and die. Also, most people play more than on Shepard and it doesn't matter what you are: Bioware didn't give you the choice. Just because my Shepard picks most renegade or paragon answers , it doesn't mean she won't change her opinion and pick something else

They failed on that exacution though - one of
the biggest reasons; Ipad app - that app should of been on all
platforms; not just Ipad - they had several things you could do on it. Messages from LI after the game ended which hints your alive and in the hospital.
Almost no one saw them though. PR did what they could through Twitter -
but honestly that app could of been used for so much more PR - more
hints - it would of been able to somewhat hold back the tide.
If I read it correctly and this is true - and I have no reason to belive otherwise - then maybe Bioware has this thing planned from the beginning.
Later, while driving the car, I started thnking about how strange Bioware's behaviour is. I mean, what's the point in keeping their lips tight.
If things were clear they would say - no there will not be any ending DLC, or yes-expect something good soon.
As much as I believe Dr. Muzyka when he is says that Bioware is "genuinely surprised by fans reaction" I think they are actually surpised by scale of this reaction, not the reaction itself.
No one is able to convince me that it was over Bioware CEOs' heads to predict fans outcry.
That of course leads me into believing that this scheme is planned (although not so sophisticated) PR and marketing thing. It is often said that it does matter what people say about you, as long as they keep talking about you.

I keep seeing these sites saying "They aren't changing the endings, just elaborating on them"
That's not enough. It's not enough at all. Elaborating on the details of a train wreck isn't going to stop the train from derailing and killing everyone in the first place.
Sites have said all sorts of stuff. At one point G4 reported that they were changing them on tv. Dont pay it any mind unless it comes straight from Bioware

My main Shepard was 95% renegade 5% paragon. The 5% comes from Choices like Mordin and curing the genophage. I was going to stop him, at all costs, I needed the Salarin fleet to get the job done, that's who I was. But then, he turns around and screams that he was WRONG.....it literally hit my heart in real life. And I chose to let him cure the genophage, because at the last possible second, he conviced that 5% paragon in me. This is the choice we should have had at the ending. Maybe you did things one way through the entire game, but you could always choose to do something different.

Personally I would have written the Thessia story differently. Since Cerberus was at Eden Prime and studying the Prothean Beacons and studying the Prothean Archives, they discovered a way to mimic a "Prothean" signal that would have activated the beacon. Shepard arrives just as Kai Leng is about to finish downloading the data. Kai Leng then sends his kabuki ninja twins at us with an Atlas and a few assault troops to slow us down. By the time we moped up the floor with his companions, Kai Leng has already escaped in the chaos and retrieved the data. Fast forward to Cerberus base, Shepard can still stab him in the face and the player would have gotten a more epic fight and stab scene too.Plummy wrote...

Personally speaking I can't play after Rannoch. I play Thessia and then I just alt tab the entire conversation line after the Kai Leng fight. It was such bad writing. You know writing is rushed when a game has to resort to Plot Armor or some unkillable enemy to advance the plot.
But we got an epic slow motion stab in the side and i'm sorry but i was shouting 'Thats for thane you son of a ****' afterwards! TBH i think i should of seen it coming when Hackett was telling you we aren't really ready for this even though i had maxed out the War Asset's but hadn't bothered with the MP on my first play through.............. Maybe marauder shields wasn't the first thing to give us a warning about the ending?
I still wanted a wee bit more from the fleet battle in space though....... Like cutting to it when you've done like the first part of retaking earth as they start lauching hammer from the carriers etc. Starship Troopers style! Wrex shouting at the top of his voice surrounded by humans COME ON YOU APES DO YOU WANT TO LIVE FOREVER!?That would of been epic!
The space battle was just so terribly done. The first 5 seconds was the most amazing part about it. Once they started firing, I thought that it was rather lame that we didn't see the Normandy at least Thanix Cannon and blow up one destroyer class reaper.

I read it. And yes, way better than the 3 primary colors. Thank you
And why primary colors? Why not have a purple and pink explosions? Or rainbow?
A pink and purple explosion would require too much thinking out of the box of the RGB color wheel of the computer screen.
