LOL
He meant the leaked live-action trailer .. not the endings , I see people grasping at straws right now , just like I was some hours ago !Garrus30 wrote...
dunno, I'm not even sure that Jarrett meant the leaked ending or sth. elseGhost Rider LSOV wrote...

Jarrett was talking about a new commercial that was previously leaked. It had nothing to do with the game ending.
Do commercials have 'beta tester's, though? (really, I'm asking.)

1) Bioware does not want people ask for more Shepard Mass Effect games. This is why they do not allow a happy ending.

And so they instead have people asking for a better ending. Oh the irony.
That, and we've already been aware since ME1 that this would be the last entry in Shepard's story. They don't need to completely broadside us with these sorts of endings to get that point across, as most have already made their peace with that fact.vonSlash wrote...

They could just have Shepard die no matter what, in all endings, but have the galaxy (and relay network) survive. Then, fans get a bittersweet ending (after all, the player character is dead), fans get a happy ending (after all, galactic civilization survived the reaper threat without losing the relays, and everyone can build for the future), Bioware gets rid of Shepard, and EA gets a viable intergalactic civilization in which to have Bioware set a ME MMO.
Everyone wins with this outcome, yet they wouldn't do this. <_<
But at least he and Cortana were together. If Halo ended like ME3, the Chief would die on the Ark while Cortana is stuck on the Forward Unto Dawn with the Arbiter.kingsims wrote...
No its just like Halo 3 Bungie got tired of Master Chief and wanted to work on something else so they stranded him out in space. MS probably told them if they killed off master chief they won't get any bonuses, so they didn't show his death.
When did he say that ?albertalad wrote...
According to Jarret Lee - BW 's Edmonton, Canada rep:
Now, BioWare's Jarret Lee has revealed these might be the last big details about its story that we'll see until its release.
According to a thread on NeoGAF, the developer confirmed on the BioWare forums that the story of Mass Effect 3 won't receive plenty of details, in order to keep spoilers from appearing on the web and ruining the first experience of gamers.
"I've seen the stuff in store for you guys in Mass Effect 3," Lee said. "Be excited, be very excited. Also, other than the attack on Earth, I think we'll try harder this time not to spoil things for you. By the time the game ships you'll be mad about the lack of story info.

Seems I only want to play this game once, while I played ME1 and ME2 multiple times because the endings are DIFFERENT.

It's this a joke cause it's really funny.
Do you know why there was less variety in the first 2? Because they were building up to the third ME , genius.scotkrow wrote...

Yeah it is really funny because these endings have about as much variety as Mass Effect 1 and 2 did.
ME1: Kill council or dont
ME2: Save Collector Base or Dont.
ME3: Shpard Dies or doesn't/ galaxy lives or doesn't
Wait... OYG!!! There's more ending variety in ME3 than in ME 1 or 2. SHOCK!!!
