I've been thinking about the endings again (mistake, I know...), and you know what? They make even less sense than I thought. I'll show you what I mean by comparing them to the leaked dark energy ending.

Current endings

Why did the Starchild bother with the reapers? If the problem was that organics and synthetics inevitably go to war, and if the Synthesis ending a) is something that stops that sort of conflict B) is something that the Starchild is willing to do and c) is something that the Starchild is capable of doing... why not just do it immediately instead of subjecting organic civilization to countless cycles of destruction and suffering? Why did it take Shepard showing up to get the Starchild to do it? Makes no sense.

Worse, why the heck do the three choice consoles exist on the Citadel at all? I mean, they're compatible with the Crucible. How does that make sense? Does that mean that whoever built the Starchild intended from the start that the reapers do their thing for millions of years, only to be stopped when organics discovered the way to activate the Starchild? That is, when they discovered the flaw that was built into the reaper plan? Does this mean that the Starchild intended for the Crucible to be built? Because the Citadel was designed for it. And doesn't that mean that they planned to do the cycles for millions of years, then do Synthesis eventually? Why not just do Synthesis from the start? Makes no sense.

Dark Energy Ending

This solves both problems. The choices at the end are to help the reapers try to fix the dark energy issue, or blow them all up and try to do it on our own. There is no Starchild, there is no intentional flaw in the reaper plan, there are no "choice consoles" built into the Citadel, and the reapers' best solution is the one they've been trying to do from the start. The Crucible has nothing to do with the reapers - it is the work of successive cycles of organics and cleverly used the Citadel as one of its components. Makes sense.

So... agh! What the hell, Bioware?

I too actually enjoyed SWTOR, however, like you my subscription has been cancelled, and it's been a hard decision to keep, however, I am keeping it.  So I am with you in the  department on SWTOR.

What's really annoying for me is I was not able to say that's why I've stopped my subscription.  For some reason my credit card thought it was a fraud charge and didn't let it go through, so when I went to cancel it, it already was Image IPB and I am not going to give anymore money to Bioware/EA just so I can tell them it's so I can get a better ME3 ending, even though want to!!  Still frustrating though.

39 minutes video but totaly worth it. I saw it yesterday, once you get through the first minutes (dont skip them) you will see the guy has some strong points.
Please Bioware dont clarify the ending, just make it a mass effect ending.

This guy also nails it...worth a good watch

Great vid.  Love when videos use the Benny hill music.  Just exudes buffoonery:wizard:

This is spot-on.  Everyone should watch this!

Got some coverage of the cupcake campaign in German mainstream newspaper and this vid makes another solid case against the endings. Worth a watch but 39 min long!

one thing we all agree on is that if the relays explode they can destroy an entire solar system.

i bet bioware will say "the relays if you watch reverse and all of ther energy is used to fire an energy burst whish makes the relays break apart, all the energy is dissapated in the peleminery explosion"

i just have a feeling they WILL use that excuse

Every attempt to salvage the ending will result in failure no matter the explanation or clarification.

So I just beat ME3, even though I knew what would happen in the end... and let me tell you... that ending. Ugh. You just, you just don't know how bad something can be until you experience it yourself! DD: I'm sitting here in this state of: 'Did that really just happen? No... no... really?!' It did.

I checked for my squadies, Liara and Tali, at the end and I never found them. Just dead N7 marines or whatever... so what the crap happen to them? Did they see the gaint beam and turned tail and leave me? XD No words man, no words! As for Anderson--how did he beat me to room on the Citadel? Right when he says the walls were shifting and that he sees some way out, I was at the frikkin' door! No other way there except the hallway I was in.

Also... how the crap did the Citadel get to earth? Did I zone out while they explained that or something?

UGH. :(

Please excuse spelling errors and any incoherence of this post--i'm kinda scatter brained at the mo'.

The Reapers invaded the Citadel and relocated it to where the bulk of their forces were.... earth. It is just a huge spaceship after all.

Personally I'm fine with Anderson getting to the room first, the way Shep was limping along.

My friends,

it's disheartening! But it's true. Last night, while most of you here now were gone, I saw this video. I didn't play "Deus ex" before, so I didn't know. And many already forgot. But the evidence is beyond questioning.

ME3 ending is a completely taken from the 2000 game "Deus ex". It's not just a similarity. It's beyond any doubt copied.

What happened to BW? What happened to the team that wrote such great things, even in ME3 itself. Ran out of time?

A new ending is now a necessity.

Take a look, and see for yourselves.

Sorry if I can't make it a link. Copy and paste.

I also wanted to say this.
Have you guys experience same thing as me after finishing ME3.
I have lost interest in videogames. Imean I play occasional arcade racer etc but rarely.
I don't read magazines ( usually Game or Edge in Uk as they cater to mature gamer) nor I'm interested in any games.
Never happened to me before.
Its almost like um emotionally drained after that anticlimax ending.
Its just bad.
I don't know what do with it.

You know... a little. It's mostly effected my drive to draw... after learning about the ending it really just made my depression worse. As melodramatic as that sounds, but sometimes the tinest of things can tip a person over. It's slightly better now, like I can pick up Harvest Moon and get all fuzzy when I see my goats and slave husband. XDD
