So we can't get the ending we want after all?

For more than a decade I trusted BioWare with giving me fulfilling and rewarding gaming experiences. Even the not-so-perfect DA2 gave me a sense of completion and I can honestly say that I enjoyed it.

Now after I finished ME3 a few hours ago I try to understand what it was BioWare did there.
I can vaguely see why it is as it is (and it makes sense to a certain extent), but nonetheless that makes me sad and leaves me a little depressed. More so because we were promised much more... and those things promised weren't even impossible to implement, they were just the logical end to everything.

I could've accepted the evident lack of deep conversation options, the low number of side missions (which mostly consisted of shooting waves of enemies), the feeling of a rushed release (one hub world, many fetch-and-deliver missions, no vehicle), but not - despite BioWare telling otherwise - the utter and complete irrelevance of having played both ME1 and ME2 for many hours. Also the mandatory Multiplayer (if you want your assets reach 4k points) isn't doing BW any favor. Come to think about it, even playing ME3 doesn't matter in the end. You can ignore everything but the main story and the outcome is the same.

Like this, the final conclusion of the series could as well have taken place right after Shepard killed Saren: Sovereign activates the Citadel, the Reapers come, Shepard shoots his/her way free until he/she reaches the Deus Ex Machina within the Citadel and with an explosion everything ends. Why even bother with choices, Cerberus, Collectors, a complex story or other useless and unnecessarily complicated things?

That's something that doesn't make me angry... no, it's a mix between disappointment and a growing indifference. I won't relinquish gaming in general or abandon games from BioWare, but I don't have to buy them on release-day either.

Never did I think it possible for a few minutes of a crappy ending to leave such a wound.

They may not say anything at PAX about the endings and if they did they will :wizard: it away afterwards.

Perhaps they will not. I actually suspect they will wave it away in some fashion.

But since PAX seems the breaking point for many (me included) lets hope not.

Don't put you're egg's all in the basket for PAX....... Just be ready to Hold the Line for a bit more longer after PAX. I don't think they will say much about ending DLC until sometime in April.

Hopefully i'm wrong but hell you never know.

PAX is their only hope.
If they think they don't have to give us an explanation they don't deserve my money.
End of line!

Didn't someone from BW say that they won't talk about the endings on PAX?

I know, they may have changed it after all (they should), but I think that wasn't on the plans.

It already has changed things.

On a personal level - I feel better sticking with people on this forum after watching the endings.

On a business level - Bioware knows we are not happy (to say the least).

Here we can coordinate necessary action to influence Bioware decisions.

Even if we do not get endings we want it is the first time in recorded history when fandom made s**tstorm on this scale.

Holding the line has so many colours... :D

They know the ball is in their court.  I think the only reason I still care at this point is because of PAX and the possible announcment of a fix.  If not, and it is just some random DLC, than that is all it is to me, random DLC.
Don't care how epic the omega DLC is.  If it is nothing but vague statements like we have been given, most of will just stop caring.

I would be really worried if you have a hyped up press event and after you make your announcement forum participation cuts in half after a day.  Hate and love are strong emotions of connection,  Indifference means connection lost.

Also since my friends won't play it, the longetivity for multiplayer life is waning rapidly.

I found this article on gamefront.com

I think the guy nails the whole situation on the head while showing as little bias as one can do.

The forums were very carthardic for me.  As well as this parody video that has been posted before.

Hi, im late arrival to the party that seems to be going on for while... just finished the game since i got directed here to voice my concerns, gonna do so, hoping Bioware does read this.

IF you want to get rid of hero why not just make Shepard retire with his love or do spectre stuff somewhere and you can go visit them for some help or information at ME4. Also game should really display effort u put in it like incorporate fleets and forces you put together at finale battle, for exaple i got alliance Arias fleet (Blood pack, blue suns, eclipse), Vollus bombing fleet etc.. but saw them no where at end.

First. Welcome.

Second. Welcome to the club of not getting the good ending. There is no good ending.

Third: apparently getting rid of a hero the way you describe these days is not considered "art". <_<

I'm thinking the best way to go through the game is to just do the main missions and do the destroy ending. Everyone is f***** in the end no matter which one you pick anyway. At least you kill the little space twerp.

Why do they ALWAYS claim that a change is confirmed?
There has been nothing confirmed yet they give in into us.

Journalism, it used to be better earlier.

What still escapes me...why would anyone buy something like an Omega DLC (course we still don't know what's it really gonna be) after these endings anyway?
The galaxy as we knew it won't exist anymore...so why even bother?
Didn't they think this through?
Ahh...I'm ranting again, sry guys.

Yup, after DA 2 and ME3 I have very little faith in BioWare. Baulders gate at first got me excited, but now I am wondering if they replaced the ending with.

1.) Control the God

2.) Merge with the God

3.) Destroy the god and every dwarf in the galaxy.

Oh and no matter what you do, you strand boo on the Moonshale islands.

So unless they fix they have lost me as a customer. (traded 1 copy out of 2 in my house in already, btw gamestop has additional 50% bonus trade this weekend... I am just saying. )
