Yeah, you're right but I don't think they will close Bioware for now...
They will see how TOR will do several months later.
I predict if EA isn't satisfied with TOR they will mostly pull a Westwood on Bioware.

well if the worst comes EA could sell it back to mircosoft who actually let developers take there time in making games.

look at forza , every 2-3 years
or they could sell it to rockstar and remember.....rockstar RARELY make a chit game and there development is like 2-5 years depending on the game

all agree if the DLC isn't the endings. Then people will not buy, It's that damn simple!

I will not get any DLC until the end is resolved, why do I want to play again knowing the outcomes never change, replayability went out the window when the credits began to roll.

Wha..? But why? Shepard has become a legend. Now you can continue to build that legend through further gameplay and downloadable content! <_<

Oh yeah i totally missed that bit........... would of helped if my eye's weren't bleeding at that point...... or was i just sat there totally dumbstruck thinking er wtf was that!

On topic of 'clarification' DLC. What I want to know is how they plan to clarify any of it? It's so far fetched, illogical and broken that any sort of clarification will come off as insulting to our intelligence.

It's either changed, or my faith in gaming in general is done.

The theory I came up with (at least for the Normandy crash scene business) was that somehow the explosion of the Mass Relays created a black hole that Joker and the Normandy flew through and ended up in an entirely alternate universe, kind of like in the movie Event Horizon.

Which I'm pretty sure would leave us with just another illogical, plot-hole-filled mess. So, Space Magic! :)

Beyond that, I've got nothing.

Nah I don't think that.

Not happening.

But enough speculation I heared its against the rules so put it down for now.

Exactlly this. How can you clarify adding a character in the last five minutes of a 100+ hour trilogy... and to top it all off this new character is the one who tells your hero/legendary Commander Shepard what to do. So even if you forget all about the other space magic crap that happened, the StarChild kills everything even if there was clarification on why those three choices were the only way Shepard could end the reaper threat. No amount of clarification is going to make StarChild okay in the Mass Effect universe.

So BW and some gamesites have said that we (the gamers) don't "get" the endings... and totally disregard BW's prior statements, that our choices would have impact on the endings - which in my game they didn't, and reading here neither did anyone else experience this!

But IMO they forget that a lot of the gamers playing the ME series aren't teenages, but actually are adults of varying ages. Personally I have been a gamer for 20+ years, not hardcore with gaming parties a.s.o. but I like a good story, and the ME universe provided this up until the last 10 minutes.

I would profess to understand their endings, and I don't like them. I find it somewhat scary that BW can promote the endings as deep and philosphical, when they're not,
I find all 3 endings more or less the same even when you get to the core of the explanations, yes BW play with different words but I find all 3 choices to be an ultimate control over life, be it reapers, geth, humans, turians a.s.o. and thereby effectively removing choice.

I didn't want to choose any of them but ended wtih destroy, while saying sorry to the geth and EDI, while shooting.

My take on the "choices":
Control ending: Machiavellianism en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machiavellianism
Synthesis ending: Eugenics en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugenics
Destroy: Ultimate control over life.

I found this thread the other day, and while it may not be a perfect ending, I find it to be a vastly better choice, than what we got, so go visit and read:

I don't think Bioware has any option but to address the situation at PAX one way or another. Especially since the media reported that they were going to make a new ending. Even BW's 'supporters' would be rather unhappy if they are made to look like idiots....

Every attempt at clarifying this won't work. To introduce new information in the end of the game is just a way to put even more failue in there.

ROFL

EA stocks plumated 9.72% today BUT an 10mins before the ending bell it rovered a bit and ended at 1.35% down.

EA are lucky because if they ended the days trading down nearly 10% then they would be up bosh'et creek without a kodiak

also if anyone plays the final run in the game, run down the right side and get ready for a weird screwed up action..................out the blue shepard will rin directly to the left without you controlling him

The EA stocks have absolutely nothing to do with the Mass Effect debacle. How many people should tell you this before you understand, my dear soldier?

im no expert at stocks by any means...but fluctuation within the day is pretty normal isnt it?

And to think that one game from Bioware has the power to vastly alter EAs stocks in a single day...

I dont think it means, what people think it means..  lol

CNN covered the ME3 ending a week or so back. During their (very brief) talk about the game they noted that the average age of a gamer in the US is...35.
