I wouldn't call us powerful as of yet (persistent maybe). But if they want to give us a little bit a backhanded complement, I'll take it. Even though it remains to be seen just how much of a modified ending BIoware is working on. PAX can't come soon enough.

Haha, are we the first group of people rather than a person to be on this list?
And yeah, I woudln't call us powerful...just plain annoying

Since the list has only been around a few months, I'd say we are. And all it took was space magic for us to get there... our outright hatred of it, but space magic none the less.

though be honest on what you think of it, have never felt so nervous before lol
edit: (my version of the confrontation with TIM will be in next one, as will be my version of what the crucible does and the aftermath of course, so if you like this know im working on the next bit now)

Oh, we are annoying. To them. No matter what they say, we keep saying the same thing over and over and "keep holding the line"
We're not rude; just so persistent that it is annoying.

From all of this mess BIoware has made we can take the following good and bad things:

1-For good or bad Videogames are for all intends and purposes recognize as art, an expression of their creator.

2- As art which is produced for mass consumption in exchange for profit, the creators of the piece have forgone all artistic rights to the series and in turn are subjected to scrutiny and changes like any other art medium.

3- As a result of the aforementioned videogames are, and will be more prone like any other art medium to be influenced by the fans, which for all intends and purposes were empowered like never before Mass effect in its development. Thus Videogames will now begin to be made by their creators and ended by its fan depending on feedback. Like any movies, or books worth mentioning.

Take these as you will.

I agree. To Bioware and EA we're like that infected splinter right on the tip of your index finger that you just......can't......get......out.

*throws something across the room* Thinking about how to respond to the indoctrination theory, I think I'm getting a sense of how it feels to be someone who liked the ending going up against hordes of dismissive people who didn't.

Why, BW, did you do this? Why couldn't you have released a solid, sensible, satisfying set of endings and spared us all our various forms of misery?

I just watch the indoctrination theory a day ago for the first time. It makes too much sense. I am not sure if we are being so desperate that we are seeing what we want to see in order to feel the void of dissapointment left by Bioware...

If it is true though then however good the ending might be, it will set a prescedent for game companies to do the same in the future to sell dlc endings...

I don't agree with the indoctrination theory either, so I just avoid those threads. I don't see a point in fighting amongst ourselves while Bioware still hasn't fixed the underlining problem. That and I'd take it over the current ending anyday. I just don't think it is. -sigh-

Hold the line.

LOL that's what I was thinking ;D  go us........

We're 40...means we got to displace 39 other people - there is only 39 of them.......and Us - Bioware fans - inifinite and yet small in numbers......

We move like lightning - voice of thunder - ringing tones of angels; we give our regards, respectfully.......calmly until such time we must call fourth our numbers......

Though most hide in the shadows - the line they hold tis the same as the one we hold dearly.  We hope the day does not come to call forth our silent friends........but push comes to shove.....We shall - ......

In the end........this time - this line........shall be held until the end - until that end comes; Of Peace, Happiness; maybe or of death and destruction........to be able to choose.......and the choices we have made.....

We shall hold the line.......

We just got to check youtube for dirt on the bioware's cat.......we know its there ;)   next  :D

Evening all! Day 2, and I'm still thinking of more things about the ending that don't make sense. I can't stop thinking about it. It's so ridiculously circular and convoluted that it's like trying to decipher the logic has set my mind into an infinite feedback loop. :/

Anyway, I was bored at lunch today so I wrote you guys a ridiulous parody song! I've been lurking the Take Back the Love thread too (which I guess I'll crosspost to) and the song's partially about that issue too (i.e. the shafting of ME2 romances), or rather about how the two intertwine re: the reason I play these games is because I'm fighting for the galaxy and my squadmates and my LI. The ending took my galaxy, it marooned and character assassinated my squadmates, and the game had already destroyed my LI earlier in the game. :< So here's a stupid song about it, to the tune of Mulan's "Girl Worth Fighting For". Hope you don't mind me posting it, but I thought I might as well contribute to the thread since there's been no progress today! Hope it makes at least one person smile.

Cast and Players: For a long time we've been waiting for this battle

Cast: 'Cause the Reapers want to butcher us like cattle

Players and Shepard: And this final push, we need to think of why we fight this war!

Hackett: HEY! Think of it all, the worlds worth fighting for!
After it all, the worlds worth fighting for!

Tali: Think of the Quarians and Geth
                            Rebuilding side by side

Wrex: And how the Krogan will be proud
                             When all my kids arrive

Garrus, Jack, Jacob: And every drink I promised you
                             We'll drink together
                             When Aria takes back Omega!

Players: It's the consequences that make it worth fighting
They're the motivation that makes it exciting
So let's see them all, and spend more time with the ones we adore!

MaleShep: That's who I want! A girl worth fighting for!
I'll build my Tali a new home
                               She'll see with unmasked eyes

Writers: Uh...How 'bout Miranda only says
She loves you if she dies?

                 Players: ....NAH!

MaleShep: And surely, though we're both busy
                                Jack won't forget me -
                                We'll both get laid eventually!

Femshep: When we make love Garrus will take off his armour
And I know Jacob would not cheat on his lover!
And my darling drell, I'll proclaim love
Or else we'll find a cure!
That's what I want! A guy worth fighting for!

Cast and Players: Think of them all, the friends worth fighting for
