So we can't get the ending we want after all?

A quote from one young lady from that video had me tearing up when she said, "I never knew how much I cared about my Shepard until the end."
I felt the exact same way in the end. This ending just couldn't be it for Shepard. All Shepard has sacrificed and given, after all that, this couldn't be the outcome. I just feel Shepard deserved an option to make it through. To wade through the wreckage, and emerge victorious with his friends and loved ones there to embrace him/her. The "breath scene" doesn't make me feel like Shepard lived or won. It still felt like a dying breath for Shepard.
I've realized how much I loved my Shepard, and I sincerely feel he deserves better.

This video really makes you realize how impersonal the internet can be. Voice inflections are completely nonexistent, emotions can't be properly delivered, and after a while, a lot of people saying the same thing begins to come across as the same ol' humdrum; something it's not. Hearing the actual voices of these fans and how passionate they are really drives home how powerful this series really is for so many people.
Absolutely. We talk about it day in and day out, but how profoundly hurt I felt is never really expressed in what I say. A lot of the time it might sound like I'm just complaining (or making fun). Cyrrant mentioned the girl speaking at 45:00 who deserves a good hug, you can hear in her voice that she's on the verge of tears. That's how passionate people are.

Be ready, it's an hour long. And about 20 minutes in you might find yourself reliving your ending feelings all over again.
This passion and dedication makes me proud to be standing here on this line with all of you /salute
EVERYONE at BioWare needs to watch this video.
It makes me both sad and comforted to know so many people share my pain.

..- we all know this is "just a game", but it's sort of amazing to have your feelings validated by a bunch of people you've never met, you know?
This is the kind of feeling I got when hanging around in this thread with you guys
And so to everyone in here, it really is an honour holding the the line with you all XD
And about those romances in ME3...
Yeah, I really feel for those who has a romance with other than Kaidan, Ashley, Liara, Garrus and Tali. Especially the Jacob mance x_x (I dont have a Shep romancing him. Heck, I don't have ANY shep that's not rmancing Kaidan x_x) but looking at how emotionally attached I am with the characters and universe of ME.. I can relate.. (Especially when looking at the romance discussion and character thread, you really can tell that fans pour their love on that particular squad member / LI)

I tweeted that video to anyone I could think of at BioWare, I may tweet it to them again later (which will make it day time for them) They need to watch it, I know I haven't watched it but from what you guys are saying it sounds like they really do.
Thanks man. Well, my Internet has crapped out for the night it seems. Looks like it's a sign that it's bedtime.

That video can't hurt but I think our fate is more in the hands of EA than BW. Right now EA is looking if BW and ME3 will show a proper return of investment and if a new ending DLC would bring their numbers back up and maybe pad out what they lost. Its sadly not about emotion but about the all mighty dollar. I get the strong feeling BW left EA dangerously out of the loop as to what they had planned and now Dad has come home to survey the damage.
I never know quite what to think when there are discussions about whether BW and/or EA will just leave things as they are and write off the disgruntled players as a loss because they can afford it. Can they afford it? Is their undamaged customer base bigger than we think it is? You're right, it is sad that in the end they may not get to answer their fans not out of spite but because of the money.

I think this is the best/worst part. If you romanced him, after he dies you get the unsent farewell letter you found in Shadow Broker sitting in your email inbox (hooray for recycled content?) And in it he literally states he has no intention of, and I quote "being confined to a bed, gasping horribly as my life beeped away to machinery I had no use for." And you get this email (which you've probably already seen) right after you've just watched him gasp himself to death on a hospital bed.
It's really horrible, and bringing the Shadow Broker letter up at that point only seems to emphasise all the characterisation issues at the worst possible time.
Seriously! I forgot to mention before in the list of pet peeves, Thane has been skewered, lying on the floor dying - this is the love of your life here!!! And you have the same reaction as a non romance: "how bad is it?". WTF?!? Not even an option to leave a squad mate behind with him (therefore making the next fight more difficult)
- I dunno, something at least! Pure laziness!

Is it me or is this video more powerful since we get to hear the voices of those who participated rather than reading lines of txt. Plus all those that took part where intelligent, polite and articulate not what we're sometimes portrayed as angry rage whiny gamers.
