I imagine the regulars on this thread have watched every single movie related to the ME3 ending out there already but I sat down this morning and watched this vid. Thought it had some very good points. It's a long one but worth it.

You know, one thing that keeps bothering me is that people compare the ending of ME3 to the last TV episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion.

The problem with the comparison is that they tear apart the whole series based on the TV ending, and claim that the movies were put out due to massive fan outcry...that, like ME3's ending, the TV ending was an 'artsy fartsy' ending. That's basically a half-truth;

The TV ending for NGE was never what the creator of the series intended; it was due to massive fan outcry that he got the budget to do the ending he really wanted, and make it into a pretty epic movie (or two extra-long episodes, if you break it in half).

Now...here's to hoping that due to our outcry EA gives Bioware the budget to do a really epic ending ^^ Dunno if it'll happen, but I can dream

It's almost like a cult, with a weird level of assuredness to it all. I guess everyone has a different way of dealing with the endings, and convinving yourself it was something that never happened is one way to go about it. To be honest, I still hope there's a chance they're right

I personally can see what they're talking about, and it would make a better ending than what we got...but I'm not anticipating -anything-.  That way, I can be happy if it's something good, and not disappointed if the indoc theory turns out to be hogwash...which I can see it happening, because there are gaping flaws in it.

We don't drink this coffee thing here in Thedas. We drink Darkspawn blood...sure some choke and die but when you get back up, you really get back up. You'll probably have so much energy you can solve an entire nation's collective problems in less than a year, forge a sword from star metal and kick the ever loving **** out of a corrupted dragon.

Ergo, Darkspawn blood, way riskier, but way better than coffee.

I agree, but it is definitely getting harder to talk about the ending. We have all pretty much said everything that needs to be said.

That Garrus and Tali thread are so large because people actually had something to debate about. How they liked the romance how they didn't like it, what they could do in the future what they shouldn't do with it ect ect.

Here, there is an utter lack of debate because the consensus is generally the same. 

This ending is freaking horrible

So people are just more or less agreeing with eachother. we have 2500 plus pages of agreement with very little to no arguments save for some speculation on wether or not Bioware will respond or how they will if they do.

hmm. i think i might even give it a try. with my luck i'll pobably end up dying however.. huh. tough choice. 
i might just go to the supermarket across the street. seems safer

blanket question for you guys. the catalyst somehow gets transformed to an actual boy (space magic!) how would your shepard deal with the little vent brat?

Nooo...they're just a fringe benefit.

Massive ammounts of bludgeoning is the solution to all of life's problems...of course, it also causes other problems in the short tearm, but bludgeon enough and eventually there will be no more problems.
