Good article!  Read it earlier today but lost the link, thanks for posting Image IPB

What's kinda sad about this whole thing is how much I've learnt about 'art' myself.. I didn't realize Arthur Conan Doyle redid the endings to Sherlock Holmes in response to reader outrage til this all happened.  I didn't know nearly as much about test screenings of movies and such till this week as well.

but again if i insulted you then i whole heartidly apoligize

No, no you didn't insult me I was just pointing out a small thing about your previous comment.

*sigh* being online makes it hard to put points across or talk about stuff without it sometimes coming off as arrogant or insulting I guess.

Edit: Typo

i got your point so dont feel down, i know what you ment.

Was Dilos01 right? Did they turn down our cupcakes?

Yeah they went and gave them to Charity (which was good!) but explained it away as "You didn't give us celebration cupcakes so we gave them away" (which was bad).

Of course we didn't give them celebration cupcakes! There's nothing to celibrate! Grrrrr........

Maybe they were afraid to eat them, coming from us. I would be. Did they at least look at the cupcakes?

 Another thoughtful piece from Forbes about DLC. Although Mass Effect and Bioware are not mentioned once, it does raise some very valid points about DLC that are quite applicable to what we have been asking for;

Yeah, more cupcakes. That's it. Bioware seems to be holed up tight in there.

Well they were made by a professional catering company and, honestly, looked better than any cupcake I ever made lol.. I understand the lack of eating.. I would have been a lot happier if they had of just left them out and said "Any of them left when we're done we're gonna donate to charity".. instead they decided to protest their customers protesting them Image IPB

*Sighs*

Like it or not retake has become a 'force' in the gaming industry (go take a look at the last page or two for a list of some of the things we've managed to do in less than a month). As such, and because we have a specific agenda, accepting the cakes could have been seen as a bribe. So Bioware donated them to a childrens shelter.

The line about them having to donate them, rather than accept them, was simply meant to mean the bribe angle - Bare in mind that *is* what people were talking about in a way, although it wasn't intended that way.

Take the statement and donation as having been made in the same spirit people donated money to Childs Play, nothing more and nothing less.

I think this is making me angrier than it should.

Perhaps I should step away from the caffiene for a minute. I'm a caffiene junkie. XD

Any have the link to thread that tells what they said, or pics of the cupcakes?

Seriously though, can you imagine any publication being taken seriously if they reported that Bioware made a brand new ending at not-so-small expense for 400 cupcakes?  No one would take them seriously after that Image IPB

Cupcakes are not a bribe, no more than all of us buying out EA stock and stacking the board with members of the movement (man I wish I had a few hundred million dollars at this point hahaha)

Checking on the line.So they refused goodwill cupcakes?Fine.Hold the line, just say NO to any DLC that does not fix the ending and that does not remove the need for multiplayer from the single player game.

I did read the past couple of pages, with pride I might add, I just never considered them a bribe. That thought didn't cross my mind. I mean, they're cupcakes for crying out loud!

I guess in a way it's a good thing that we are a powerful enough force that they can't accept gifts from us.

Still a little disappointing, but I guess I understand why..

But thank the divines that Indy is NOT Shepard. I don't think I could have handled it.

That would be so sad Image IPB  But since it's Indy, he would be able to get the cup and live, or Sean connery would have paragon interrupted to save him Image IPB

Ah...Indy  I can see why BW would not want to risk such a "cliche" and "unartistic" ending...lolz.

Wow..the news...OK so BioWare kind of HAVE to do something don't they? I mean if they don't wont it just come back to bite them in the a**?

This whole thing has gotten articles upon articles about it, news groups, youtube videos ect ect.

Surely, BioWare and EA are smart enough to realise this won't go down well if they don'y fix the ending.
