I don't know if anyone else has pointed this out or posted about it yet but I was just noodling around with Gibbed's Audio Extractor and found something kind of interesting. I have no idea if it means anything but I thought I should share to see what everyone makes of it.
So I was poking around in wwise_norhub_dreams and found the file labled mus_norhub_dreams_1 which I believe is the backround music from the dream sequences. It's kind of a slow, ominous muddy atmospheric piece and as I was listening to it I thought is sounded familiar and I had an Inception moment. So I loaded it up into Audacity and sped it up quite a bit. It turns out that it is a greatly slowed down and slightly muddied version of An End Once And For All... Yep... The musical backround in the dream sequences is the same piece of music played during the end of the game.
I haven't decided if they were just reusing a modified version of an existing asset or if there's something deeper to it but it definitely has me wondering.
Speculation for everyone!
