See they did the same with Kaidan, one of the last things he says to you is "I can't lose you again." and then haha says Bioware, no way you're coming back from this one! Kaidan can go through all of the trauma of losing Shepard all over again!Atrocity wrote...
Garrus is actually a big, big, big part of why I felt so bad after the ending. Since he was so cheery and wonderful during all of the games, especially the third one... 'If this all ends up both of us dying in an explosion which destroys the Reapers... remember, I took the killshot' and the last part before the final battle, how he forbids me from dying even if it means he's insubordinating, well, all of that really did set up a hopefull atmosphere (together with curing the genophage and peace with Quarians and Geth ofc).TheSimbul wrote...
Maybe Bioware has something against us Garrus/Shep fans...although given the endings, I think they secretly hate us all *sighs*
And then Bioware reached inside me and crushed my heart, along with couple other inner organs, robbing me of closure, happiness and human turian babies.
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Oh they know, the question is are they perpared...
Since they are our elite-groundforce, I think they are.
The reason I asked is that it seems unlikely that BW would have a Q&A session unless they are either very confident what they have to say is going to be well received OR that they can control the questions being asked. Either is possible...but eliminating any questions about the ending, or cherry-picking only those questions they can brush off/answer without having to commit to anything would be rather moronic. If Bioware has learnt anything over the last three weeks, it (hopefully) would be that such a tactic is likely to be noticed and commented on in a matter of minutes...and not just by their customers. And they certainly are not in a position where they could ignore the ending issue.
I also recall that Bioware's time on stage was reduced to an hour (although this may not have been Bioware's decision). So assume maybe 40-50 minutes for the 'sales pitch' and 10-20 minutes for questions at the end?
*Muses*
You know, that doesn't seem enough time for them to discuss both the ending issue and all the upcoming DLC they have planned in any detail...and as I noted they can't ignore the ending issue and I doubt they could brush it off. They do read the boards, and will be aware that for a lot of people PAX is going to be the crunch point and if they try to downplay a new ending or stall for time it will cost them a LOT of customers. Likewise concentrating on other DLC would be rather daft if a large number of customers are on the brink of trading their games in and leaving Bioware for good.
It also seems likely that they would be aware that 'clarrifying' the ending wouldn't be good enough. What is wanted and needed is an entirely new ending.
I'm not sure what to make of this. I'd like to think that it is a sign that they are going to announce an ending DLC. But it could also be a sign that they intend to brush the matter off as quickly as possible and not give anyone enough time to question them about it.

Didn't even know about this until yesterday. EA beat Comcast? Wow. I really wonder if it has anything to do with ME3 ending. I don't play EA games much, but the few I have sure haven't made me dislike them more them Comcast.

Yeah, you guys did get other cup of bitter dissappointment. Slightly different flavour, but guaranteed to hurt your insides just the same. And so did everyone, reagrdless of their LI, I guess.
Garrus lovers got married and were expecting a nice future (in tropical environment living of the royalties of vids), Tali lovers were promised a house on Rannoch, giving Tali some time to adjust to the whole concept of having a home and a family, Liara had actually developed as a character (and as a person), and would have had blue babies, if not already pregnant at the time of the ending (you can never know with asari, can you?)....
And, umm, I have nothing to say about Kaidan/Ashley since I don't know anything about them as LI, sorry, don't shoot me

This really shows that in the pursuit of $$$, BW has really lost their way, probably due to our good friends at EA. They really have forgotten what makes them what they are, and what resonates with their most loyal players (US!). If we want open world, we go to Bethesda. If we want great, fleshed out characters, compelling storylines, we go BW. By forgetting their core constituency, BW is risking everything that they have built to date, including these loyal fans, as evidenced by their missteps with DA2 and ME3. C'mon Bioware, gain our trust again!

off topic part: for cyber mortiis :-
ON TOPIC PART
i really dont think they will be confidant, if anyone is wearing a retake t-shirt they either will ignore them or wont let them into the Q&A.
the best laid plan is to have someone in there wearing a bioware t-shirt or even an N7 t-shirt or something that will get them into the bioware panel.
now IF bioware does do the Q&A then they must have planned answers (as always a no comment), or they have some people planted in the crowd (EA does this on a regular basis and was caught out and was really close in getting kicked out and banned from PAX for a looooooooong time) the best way to spot a plant is that bioware will know right away what the answer is on a really small question.
i just wish valve admit they are making episode 3 and then announce HL3 is slated for a 2013 release.
but again i really do think it will be a slim chance of a Q&A with all the news reports flying around, this might be biowares scary time at PAX where they lose more body weight through sweating
